A big reason I stopped posting on Facebook is because I think people feel that happy people are obnoxious, bragging, or fake.

I feel like when Im blessed, happy, and content on most days, people don't want to hear about it. They'd rather hear about something going wrong in your life.

I was a cheerful kid, mostly cheerful teenager, and have become a happy adult. God taught me how. He taught me to always move forward, to forgive myself, to live in wisdom, and to thank Him and praise Him. He taught me to be a better wife and a better person.

To be honest, when I consider the goodness of the Lord in my life, the tears just appear. He has given me purpose and taught me how to live.

I almost get the feeling like some people guard their misery very carefully and they get upset at anything that might suggest that their attitude could improve. So I often hold back how I actually feel, not wanting to provoke those people.
@Wynona. I think you are a light. A big bright light shining in a very dark world. You should never try to dull that light for the sake of others because that is how God made you and people who live in the dark cannot help but be drawn to the light whether they want to or not

Matthew 5:14-16 Bless you dear sister sun.gifShine on...

It's not so much internet trolls stopping me. I just criticize my own thoughts and keep thinking, "no one wants to hear that."

If I weren't like this, Id post a lot about kindness, happiness, and joy.
I'd say if you feel led to post maybe that's God's way of telling you someone needs to hear it.

Trust God. That will lead you to trust yourself more as he uses you for his purpose. :)

Oh sister, don't you EVER hold back your joy! You have a great attitude and I wish I had even an inkling of it. The Spirit in you is brilliant! If others cannot be happy for you and see you as an excellent example of the joy of The Lord then they are either jealous or blind! :goodj:
