You don't think Rev 19 refers to Armageddon in Rev 16? The Scripture I was talking about was this...
Rev 1.“Look, he is coming with the clouds,”
and “every eye will see him,
even those who pierced him”;
and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.”
Zech 12.10 They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.
2 things are said to happen here, which seems to be the Coming of Christ.
1) All eyes will see it.
2) The same will mourn.
Then it says this will happen, which obviously will *not* be in heaven...
Zech 13.1 “On that day a fountain will be opened to the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them from sin and impurity.
2 “On that day, I will banish the names of the idols from the land, and they will be remembered no more,” declares the Lord Almighty. “I will remove both the prophets and the spirit of impurity from the land."
But Rev 16, where Armageddon is mentioned, related to Rev 19, where Christ's Coming is depicted? I think so.
The description of Armageddon in Rev 16 can only be the last battle of the age, at which time Christ returns....
Rev 16.15 “Look, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and remains clothed, so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed.”
16 Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.
17 The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, “It is done!”
These things depict the very event at which time Christ returns.
1) Christ comes as a thief at Armageddon.
2) The age is "done" at Armageddon.
The same thing is described in Rev 19. Christ comes again...
Rev 19.11 I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war...19 Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage war against the rider on the horse and his army.
