i am a born again christianYes to all.....
I'm interested in your perspective on that last bullet point Siddhi.
Indian culture has a unique understanding of reincarnation. How does that inform your Christian beliefs?
This reminded me of a great teaching I listened to a few years ago titled, “And then came Amelek.”Many of the devil's works in this world are fueled by those who harbor resentment and complaint.
I think…he understood by your #3 that you did not mean by #7 that you believed in reincarnation. I think he just wanted to hear your unique thoughts and perspective on it, having come out of it after being surrounded by the belief all your life.:)i am a born again christian
John 3:1-21
I don't believe in polytheism anymore.

English isn’t her first language. I think I remember her saying reading English takes her awhile. So we all have to be extra patient here. :)
what then?Great! That’s not what I asked about.

What does this mean?
Liberation from the cycle of birth and death.
What I'm asking about is specifically this>>>
Can you tell me a bit about your understanding of "the cycle of birth and death"?
It's not how typical Westerner Christians speak. I'm not critical of the idea either by the way. I'm genuinely interested in what that means to you, in your way of thinking.
I think,In Hinduism, samsara (world) is the endless cycle of birth, death, and rebirth(reincarnation).
moksha, also spelled mokṣa, also called mukti, in Indian philosophy and religion, liberation from the cycle of death and rebirth . Derived from the Sanskrit word muc (“to free”), the term moksha literally means freedom from samsara. source- google

Because I don't want to be reborn in this world. I just want salvation .salvation(moksha)(in the Christian religion) being saved from the power of evil.
So I think, which religion to choose. That is choosing monotheism or polytheism. Or used to think about which deity to believe in.I got tired of this.
Another C.F Member Brad D. said to me that Siddhi are you sure you are not mixing perhaps Hindu influences of reincarnation with Christianity? There is no reincarnation in Christianity. The only new birth we have is our new birth into our new life in Jesus Christ our Lord!! You are not in your present situation because of some sin of a past birth.:)
I don't want to say much about "the cycle of birth and death".:)
Born again of the Holy Spirit by receiving the down payment of the Spirit isn’t the same concept as being born again physically in another body that you must live and die in again. You will find that not all followers of Christ think like Brad, and you will never find anywhere in scripture where Jesus says 'there is no reincarnation in Christianity' in fact he says the opposite. He says 'You MUST be born again." Folks choose to make up their own minds about what that means, and what he meant. But they cannot dispute what he said.
Of his friend (and cousin) John- the baptizer, he said "If you can accept it, he is Elijah" (the one all Jews said must appear before the coming of the Messiah (the Christ). There are many, many.... perhaps most Christians, who simply can't accept it.

And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment…(Hebrews 9:27)
And John the Baptist was not Elijah physically born in another different body. He meant more like…in the spirit of Elijah. Sort of like one would say…in the spirit of Christmas, and since I already have enough, I am going to gift someone who needs help with money in the amount of the Christmas bonus my boss gave me, of $500. If someone said that, they would be saying…just as God gave a gift to all men in Jesus, I am celebrating the idea of that, as we celebrate the great gift of Jesus being given to us all by giving a gift to someone in temporal need.
