If there was a demon in front of you and you ask who they serve. Can they say God or Lord. I know they can because they can mean the devil but can they save God our father up in heaven. Would be a good idea to ask what its name if claims to be an angel? I wondering is there something that a demon can't say and make sure it an angel.

P.s It not because I seen one or anything like that. I am just watching Supernatural and one of my favorate shows. I know in the three season they bring angel in it. It kinda funny how they do it but that another thing lol.

[sup]I ocne read a medieval account of a family that became friends with a demon. They taught it prayers including the Lord'sprayer but it could never say, "Jesus is Lord."[/sup]

[sup]When someone is thought to be posessed the exorcist will ask them to say, "Jesus is Lord," and if they cannot say it then it is a strong indication that there is a demon in there.[/sup]

[sup]I wonder if I might have seen one or if it was a dream but I met someone in a dream who called himself the Angel of Death and he took the form of a fiery demon with a flaming skull for a head. He said that God had sent him to me with the mesage that I was dammed and seemed to take pleasure in my distress. I don't think any true servant of God would be like that even if they did appear in a frightenning manner. He also named God as "the Almighty." satan may be powerful but he's nt almighty.[/sup]

[sup]My guess is now that it was either just a nightmare or it was a demon trying to trick me into dispairng because of the way that he seemed to be gloating when he told me I was dammed and God would never forgive my sins.[/sup]

Well, I don't know because I really haven't study angel that much. I know angel are suppose to be messagers, worriers, and other thing God will ask of them. Oh can see what they really look like but I believe they are beautily but look like worrier with wings. I really don't believe in all white but I do believe in so just wearing white like messagers and music one. The worriers would be wearing armor. Death angel would be in black. To be honest I would be suppires that Lord our God will allow us to see them differently.

The cherubim for example are not little babies that sit on clouds, they are beig frieghtenning creatures with animals heads. Angels are very powerful creatures and have different functions. The cherubim guard the Garden of Eden and they have been represented in very early civilizations like Sumeria as being large and menacing creatures. Though they do God's bidding and they are his good servants but they do the job of guarding and have to be frightenning creatures.

I once dremed that I died and went to Heven and was not allowed to take part in the banquet. Instead I had to set the table, serve the guests and do the dishes. When that was over a large angel dressed in white and two cherubim came to me and some other people who ahd recently died and had been serving with me. They led us through a a small door int eh back of the kitchen and down a very long winding staricase that eventually opened out into a cavern. We were on a ledge that over looked a great lake of fire with people floating in it and screaming and in the cetre there was a large wheel turning that was dunking people in the lake. The cherubim were dragging people towards the end towards a ladder made of bones and were ording them to go down the ladder. Anyone who refused was taken to the dge and kicked by the Angel into the lake. When it was my turn I went half way down the ladder and then climbed back up. The cherubim grabbed me and pulled me toards the edge and soemhow I got free even though they were very large and strong. I ran up the stairs and they chased me and I got backc into the kitchen in Heaven and then went into the great dining ahll which was now empty and the dream ended.

This was of course a dream but I don't know what the purpose of this dream was. It certianly told me that Angels can be very stern, ahrd creatures that are merciless in carrying out God's judgements as they could not be reasoned or bargained with, they were like isntruments of divine justice.

About the dream. Well, I don't purpose either but sound very weird. Most people I know that have dream like say the are sitting with God talking or sing praises to him with everyone and the angels. I do got to point out there are different kind of angels. You got your worries, music ones, judgement holders but I really think only one, protector ones, and I would put money on there are most then we know. I believe they are all strong and couldn't be took by a man or demon. Why do you call them creatures?

By worries do you mean Warriors? Michael is the main warrior in Heaven.

Anything made by God is a creature even man and the angels are no exception.

My dreams are often roubled, I very rarely dream of anything ncie.

1 John 4:
1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God;

because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
[sup]2 [/sup]By this you know the Spirit of God:
Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God,
[sup]3 [/sup]and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God.

1 Cor 12:
[sup]3 [/sup]Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed,
and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.

These true and false spirits to be tested are in people (or are influencing people).

Born-again people will answer correctly because they have the Holy Spirit in them.
Demon-possessed people will have an evil spirit in them.
Demon-oppressed people will have their minds corrupted by an evil spirit.

That's why the posessed cannot say, "Jesus is Lord."
The possible demon that I spoke with told me that I was dammed and when I said, "By the blood of the lamb I am saved.," he laughed and said that I was a fool to challenge God's will/ He did not say God, he said "the almighty" and he was amused at my distress. I also think he was trying to make me displair and I'm ashamed to admit that for a while it worked and I did dispair.

I wish I had been lucid enough to challenge this spirit.

I believe it is only folklore that claims that demons cannot declare that Jesus is Lord. He is Lord and they know it!

I know people who have had demonic strongholds and said, "Jesus is Lord!" These people are in the churches, and are comfortable to say it.

Words get around. I know female friend who knows that bible inside and out. She said the demon would say Jesus is the lord because they know them self.

I have because I suffer sleep paralysis and you don't want to it trust me. Be thankful that they don't attack you directly.

Most often I call on Christ and make the sign of the cross and it really does work but I can only do this if I am lucid enough.

I read somewhere that some of the encounters with demons are actually encounters with other humns who have learnt how to leave their bodies and enter the dreams of sleeping people. They are usually satanists who do this to attaqck sleeping Christians.

I jsut noticed from your profile that you were born on St mIchael's day. if we all ahve a guardian angel then he might be yours.

St Michael is an Archangel along with St Gabriel and St Raphael and possibly St Uriel. They are saints even though they are angels and never lived on earth. Saint means Holy so we are honouring thim by saying Holy Michael.

Michael was the leader of the Heavenly host and threw Lucifer out of Heaven and all the angels who had followed him Lucifer who had himself been an Archangel was cast out and became Satan and likewise all the Angels that he had decieved into following him fell also and became the Demons.

St Michael is the greatest of the warrior angels and along with St George is a patron saint of warriors and was very popular with Christians in the Roman Legions, Medieval Knights and even soldiers and fighter pilots in WWII.

As for me; I'm an Anglican of the Anglo-Catholci tradition and a member of the Church of England.

Demonic strongholds and possessions are two different things...However the word of God tells the Truth...Demons will not say that Jesus Christ is their Lord...I have confronted several in Prayer Ministry...they can't say Jesus is their Lord....people oppressed can say Jesus is their Lord...Demons do not, they will scare the living crap out of you but never confess to Jesus being their Lord...

Both demonic strongholds and demons in a person (not necessarily full possession) are terrible situations of torment and people who are in either predicament can say that Jesus is Lord. These can be born again Christians. Someone who is fully overcome by a demon or demons will not say Jesus is Lord because that person is not born again to begin with.

There is no scripture that says that demons cannot say Jesus is Lord.
