That's no excuse to persecute Catholicism, which they formally do, with false books and stupid videos. Do you see Catholics doing to them what they do to us???
Well the Catholic Church already branded the Protestants as "heretics" long ago. Did the CC persecute non-Catholics? Absolutely. The historical record confirms this. Foxe's Book of Martyrs confirms this.

The Millerites predated the SDAs. We need to be objective and fair about the Seventh Day Adventists and Ellen G. White. All one can say is that there is a MIXTURE of truth and error in this denomination. The problem is that 1% error can undermine 99% truth. With God it has to be 100% truth.
Who are you and what have you done with my Enoch? ;)

Of course people will receive the mark of the beast of their own free will. I would certainly not limit that to those who worship on Sunday instead of Saturday.
I would agree except that I don't get to make such determinations. It will prove to be either a correct interpretation of God's will as expressed in His Word or an error. :)

Just curious. Was it your intention to avoid responding to the other 2 parts of my post?

Nice to see you, by the way. It's been a while. :)

I would warn everyone in love not to take the mark of the beast. Whether we took it or not would demonstrate our true allegiance. Nice to see you as well. It has been a while. :)

There are some good Sevvies, SDAs or whatever you want to call them out there that love Jesus, walk with the Lord and live good Christian lives, yeah they have got things wrong in the past and may have a few different beliefs, but at the end of the day they too believe and worship the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
When I was in the USAF, SDA Missionaries were my friends and often gave me leads on LDS Mormon Missionary Homes. Some even came to visit those with me. Even tho, there were 20 or more of them, with the Holy Spirit we had them vastly out numbered while discussing he real Jesus with them.

Actual “Mormon” here… I wish more Christians of other faiths spent to time actually understand what I believe about Christ (divine Son of God and Savior of the world). Too often other people trying to inform me what I believe (getting the facts wrong) and then try to tear that straw man down. It is very annoying.

Hey, Jane! Long time no see! Annoyance is for kids. It'll knock years off the end of our lives - lol.

Did I ever tell you about my boss in the Air Force in West Germany (I guess that dates me, huh?) back in the'80s? Tech Sergeant. Sweetest man you could ever hope to meet. He referred to himself as a Latter-day Saint. Seemed reasonable enough to me. That was before I became a Seventh-day Adventist. I didn't even know people cared what you called them. He didn't seem to care much.

He got a lot of razzing from the guys in the shop. He seemed to take it in stride, though, and everybody respected him at the end of the day. He and his family were exceptionally kind to my poor, sick, new bride and me while she was carrying our firstborn. We'll never forget them. :D

You know, Amigo, as uncomfortable as it is for me to have to say, I couldn't agree with you more.

I also confess that, although I've always admired your unabashed honesty, in the past I've felt like you were a bit too handy with your denunciations of false unity. And I also confess that I was much more likely to have been wrong about that than right.

When I first became an Adventist 33 years ago, I got a pretty thorough dressing down from one of my best friends at the time for leaving a prophecy lecture brochure laying next to the timeclock at work—it depicted the dragon of Revelation 12, 13, and 17 as the papacy. He was a good man and he was also a loyal Catholic—it does happen, contrary to commonly-held beliefs.

This experience had an indelible effect on me. I'd like to think it hasn't kept me from speaking up when I should have. But I'm not so sure.

And I couldn't help being struck by a reference made recently about the study of "Babylon" as a symbol in Revelation 17. It was specifically about verse 13, which reads:

"These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast."

They have one mind.

That's pretty straightforward.

It is clear from the context that they are on the wrong track, but they are in full agreement with one another.

If that doesn't put false unity into plain view, I don't know what would.

God bless you, Amigo. :D

Sister Jane, I, for one, think it would be very edifying if you could share with us what you believe about the divinity of the Son of God. :D

Jesus Christ is the divine Son of God. He is MY Lord and Savior (+ everyone else’s). He has always existed, created the Earth, was born of Virgin Mary, lived a perfect sinless 33 years showing me how I aught to live. He was tortured and died for MY sins, and rose again on the third day in a now glorified body. He later rose to Heaven where He now resides today.

Christ, the Father, and the Spirit are three different divine persons. For example, Christ doesn’t pray to Hismelf, He prays to the Father. During Christ’s baptism it is the Father that speaks, and the Spirit that descends like a dove.

They are united as one God. To follow the Spirit’s prompting is to follow the Son. To honor the Sonia to honor the Father etc. they are completely united - on the exact same page about everything.

Same unity that brought the peoples under nimrod together to build a one world tower to reach to heaven .
This same unity today has created a universal religion , all path tower to GOD , ONLY it will never reach it .
Their unity is focused on the world , its peace , its safety , its we are one .
The unity of the lambs focuses on Christ alone , truth alone and few there be that do this .
WHEN unity overlooks doctrine for sake of unity , THEN KNOW ITS FALSE .
Unity UNDER CHRIST , UNDER GOD and those whose love is for the truth , for Him .
This other unity is about just brining folks of all tribes and religions together .
Its reconcilation has omitted the dire need to believe on Christ . ITS FALSE and BIG TIME .
Though many infected with it , STILL THINK they do Gods will . THEY DONT .
This is about unifying the world under what man and mankind says is GOD or says is love . IT AINT NIETHER .
For it it were of GOD it would not omit the TRUTH for sake of unity and fellowship .
