I agree, I'm a fan of Megami Tensei and am against and even very much actively dislike their dipictions of Baal and the Egyptian gods, and biblical demons like Abaddon and Beelzebub, even though they're all iconic enemies/bosses and even Beloved characters by fans in the case of Baal and Beelzebub.
I cannot understand why believers could be fans of something that has been created by flesh and blood. A cartoon of sorts. It seems to be vno different than the Israelites who woshiped idols made of wood and stone and gold fittings? 
I grew up on star trek. It is based off of projections of what science could turn out to be. I've always liked star trek. Gave me a passion for physics and science as a youth. I consider physics and science to be the word of knowledge from God.
Funny thing is you could always count on them to kill off an ensign if they were on a landing party so that none of the main characters died. The ensign wore red shirt uniforms:
