Brethren, this morning’s topic called Sodomites: Haters of God will be an in-depth study into the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. While covering Genesis chapters thirteen, eighteen and nineteen in their entirety, I’ll also be providing many New Testament passages that plainly teach that homosexuality and “going after strange flesh” are considered grievous sins in the eyes of Almighty Yahweh.

There are numerous false prophets who love to attack the King James Version of the Bible by perpetuating the myth that honorable king James was somehow a homosexual father of eight children. To shatter this false teaching I’ll be using only the Authorized 1611 text in today’s sermon so nobody can say that it’s a ‘pro-homosexual’ translation and in the process prove that there’s no such thing as a ‘queer Christian church.’

As a heathen city, Sodom was located in the plain of the Jordan (Genesis 13:10) and it was the southeastern limit of the Canaanites (Genesis 10:19). Webster’s 1828 Dictionarydefines the word sodomite as “An inhabitant of Sodom or one guilty of sodomy” so we’ll examine this modern-day term and the ancient people of the same name who were completely destroyed by Yahweh for their blatant iniquity. Homosexuals are considered to be ‘reprobates’ in the eyes of Almighty God and this study is essential because it deals directly with certain racial seedlines. By examining the destruction of Sodom we can also see how both Abraham and Lot made it into the “faith hall of fame” as found in Hebrews 11 and gear ourselves to do the same. Jesus Christ commanded all Christians to “remember Lot's wife” making these accounts vital to understanding end-time prophecy.

Let's start reading right at the beginning of Genesis 13; “Abram went up out of Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the south. And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold. And he went on his journeys from the south even to Bethel, unto the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Hai; Unto the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first: and there Abram called on the name of Yahweh. And Lot also, which went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents (Genesis 13:1-5).”

Abram was very rich in cattle, silver and in gold because he continually called on the name of Yahweh. While Jesus and a majority of scripture openly condemn the rich, we should notice that those who Yahweh chooses as His elect could be blessed in a varity of ways including monetarily. Most major cities in America are well known for overpriced schemes (think about ‘the prodigal son’) and compared to Las Vegas, dreary Sodom is debatably the world's original ‘sin city.’ The most abominable acts known to man are committed in cities but we keep this verse in mind; “Shall there be evil in a city, and Yahweh hath not done it (Amos 3:6)?” Our God is omnipotent (Revelation 19:6) and all things but He also chooses his favorites so let's battle for the Israel birthright.

Let's continue; “The land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together. And there was a strife between the herdsmen of Abram's cattle and the herdsmen of Lot's cattle: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelled then in the land. And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdsmen and thy herdsmen; for we be brethren. Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left (Genesis 13:6-9).”

Both Lot and Abram were seemingly blessed to the point of over-abundance but they must split into separate factions because Canaanites and Perizzites were making it more difficult for their cattle to graze. Notice the strong racial bond between the men even though they must separate from one another for sake of space and sanity? Still, Abram and Lot must choose their sides.

Here's what happens; “Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before Yahweh destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of Yahweh, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar. Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other. Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom. But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before Yahweh exceedingly (Genesis 13:10-13).”

Lot chooses to dwell in “the cities of the plain” while Abraham stays in the land of Canaan. Interesting of note is the fact that Lot initially pitched his tent ‘towards’ Sodom but as this remarkable Bible chronicle unfolds we can see him slowly being pulled southward into Sodom itself (Genesis 13:12, 14:3, 14:12). This ‘horseleech’ aspect of sin certainly aligns with Peter’s teaching that Lot slowly became “vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked (II Peter 2:7)” helping to prove that “A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump (Galatians 5:9).” As Christians we’re to “abstain from all appearance of evil (I Thessalonians 5:22)” and had Lot made an attempt to do this he might have saved himself some future heartache but he’s much younger and more gullible than Abram.

Because Abe was honest; “Yahweh said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever. And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered. Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee. Then Abram removed his tent, and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar unto Yahweh (Genesis 13:14-18).”

This is the very covenant to the chosen people and while blameless Abram was building an alter to Yahweh, faithful Lot is eventually taken captive by Chedorlaomer and soon rescued by father Abe and his blessed people (Genesis 14:1-16). We must always listen to every word that comes from God (Matthew 4:4) and not lean to our own devices like Lot did. The promised seed comes through Isaac as we will soon read for ourselves so we should always take heed of our own decisions.

Abraham's visitation from God is found in Genesis 18; “Yahweh appeared unto him [Abe] in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; And he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground, And said, My Lord, if now I have found favor in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant: Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree: And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant (Genesis 18:1-5).”

The text says that Yahweh appeared to Abraham on the plains of Mamre as “three men.” We should notice that father Abraham ran to meet these “messengers” and quickly bowed to the ground saying “My Lord.” Later in this same account only two angels depart towards the city of Sodom leaving the third “God manifest in the flesh (I Timothy 3:16)” with Abraham to discuss the downfall of Sodom. For those who doubt this appearance is God Himself, a few verses from now He says “I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son”

“They said, So do, as thou hast said. And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth. And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetched a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it. And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat. And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent. And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son (Genesis 18:5-10).”

This could be considered an offering made to God Himself and the end result is a promise of future male seed through Abraham. Isaac is this same promised child being born when Abraham reached one hundred years of age about one year later, this means that as of this exact point Sarah was granted conception and given a blessed seedline. The covenant is essential, it's also conditional and while Lot wasn't an evil man he is an apparent opposite of father Abraham. Strangely, due to the age of her husband and herself, Sarah giggles in amusement at the long-desired aspect of being granted a son.

Here's the proof; “Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him. Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women. Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also? And Yahweh said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old? Is any thing too hard for Yahweh? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son. Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh (Genesis 18:10-15).”

This promise of eventual seedline is referring to blameless Isaac whose name means “laughter and mockery (H3327).” God assures Sarah that nothing is impossible and He rewards the faithful but the flesh causes denial. Of course this promised seed does come and through Isaac comes Jacob/Israel and the covenant nations, or God's chosen people. These verses are placed in the manner they are to drive home the point that God Himself visited Abraham and chose the seedline through which Jesus Christ would eventually come. While Sarah seemingly had her reservations about the idea of childbirth in her old age, Abraham never doubted Yahweh and leaned to His Will in all things and this is the very reason of his choosing by God.

After this event; “The men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way. And Yahweh said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of Yahweh, to do justice and judgment; that Yahweh may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him (Genesis 18:16-19).”

God never withholds Truth from His faithful followers and in this day and age we have the eternal Word that promises us correct paths. Yahweh reiterates the covenant by saying “Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him” proving that he was the chosen seedline as opposed to Lot. I lay most of this as simple groundwork because we're about to scrutinize the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah in graphic detail. We should pay attention to the fact that because Abraham was faithful he is also given added knowledge and through this fact he is able to make intercessory prayer for Lot who resides in Sodom at this time.

Here's the reason why Sodom must be destroyed; “Yahweh said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous; I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know. And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before Yahweh (Genesis 18:20-22).”

What exactly were these sins that were ‘very grievous’ to Yahweh? The answer in found in Jude 1:7; “Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.” There are two specific sins mentioned that lead to Sodom’s downfall and they are listed as “fornication” and “going after strange (foreign) flesh.” Surely we can see these behaviors in today's age with many false churches even opening their arms towards homosexuals that God has forever cursed and even more promoting unbiblical race-mixing behind the pulpit.

Here's Abe's appeal to God before the rain of fire; “Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked? Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein? That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right (Genesis 18:23-25)?”

The residents of Sodom are equated to serpentile heathens throughout scripture like this passage found in Deuteronomy 32:31-33; “Their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges. For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter: Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps.” Still, it should be noted that Abraham’s intercessory prayer is what leads to Lot’s eventual removal from Sodom because so we must also never neglect this aspect of the Christian walk. Had this prayer never been made it is unlikely that Yahweh would've even spared the vexed Lot and his two virgin daughters.

Still, we should notice that; “Yahweh said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes. And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which am but dust and ashes: Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it. And he spoke unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for forty's sake (Genesis 18:26-29).”

Forty is the number of ‘probation’ and another reason for Sodom’s downfall is found in II Peter 2:6-9; “[God] turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished.” Like the death of Pharaoh, the rain of fire sent upon Sodom and Gomorrah are examples to show forth the glory of Yahweh because wickedness is the opposite of righoutessness and through its destruction the upright are praised.

Abe continues on; “He said unto him, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there. And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for twenty's sake. And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake. And Yahweh went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place (Genesis 18:30-33).”

God is merciful and willing to spare the city for even ten people of value but as most already know the city of Sodom has gone down in the annuals of history as the most wicked and perverted place of all. When asked for ‘signs’ of Christ’s future coming He pointed out both ‘the days of Noah’ and Sodom like in Luke 17:28-33; "Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. Remember Lot's wife. Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it." Sounds quite a bit like the days we're living in, doesn't it?

Now, let's continue reading in Genesis 19; “There came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground; And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night. And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat (Genesis 19:1-3).”

Here we plainly see that only two men, who are considered angels, enter into the gates Sodom because “Yahweh went his way” after His dealings with Abraham. These two angels soon bring about God’s wrath on the unsuspecting city meaning that there were obviously not even ten people of worth to turn away Yahweh’s wrath. Only Lot and his two daughters make it through the night and later his daughters act foolishly due to the influence of this perverted city. Lot almost seems repentant and reflective of the covenant upon seeing these two ‘death angels’ and his hospitality turns to outright protection. Lot initially sat at the gate of the wicked city but when he sees these men he urges them to enter into the house.

Homosexuals and perverts can never be satisfied it seems; “Before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter: And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them. And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him, And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly. Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof (Genesis 19:4-8).”

This is an essential part of the account that should not be sugarcoated. The wicked men of Sodom desired the two ‘men’ so that they could “know” them and this Hebrew termyâda‛ means sexual intercourse. Isaiah 3:9 says; “The show of their [Judah’s] countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.” These were unashamed homosexuals who desired sexual dealings with the very angels of God, much like in ‘the days of Noah’ as Christ warns. Today the term ‘flaming faggot’ is a like equivalent but ‘queer’ is more generally used.

“They said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door. But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door. And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door. And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides a son-in-law, and thy sons, and thy daughters? and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place: For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of Yahweh; and Yahweh hath sent us to destroy it (Genesis 19:9-13).”

Even with the ‘offer’ of Lot’s virgin daughters, these deranged perverts only desired deviant sex with the newcomer angels so these immoral inhabitants of Sodom are struck with blindness. The dual messengers were merely sent to bring Lot out of the city so they could do the destructive Will of Yahweh. Both angels say “we will destroy this place” and “Yahweh hath sent us to destroy it” establishing the fact that these serpentile residents of Sodom were not even possible of hearing truth (John 17:17).

Jesus Christ teaches; “Whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city. Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves (Matthew 10:14-16).” Considering that the Messiah equates the end of time to the days of Sodom we should take notice that homosexuals are not able to come to the Truth of God’s Word as Paul confirms in the latter part of the first chapter of Romans. How common is it in today's age to see pro-homosexual agendas in such places as public schools, seminaries, the media and other abominations?

Here's where Lot attempts to save his own people but seems crazy to the world; “Lot went out, and spoke unto his sons-in-law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for Yahweh will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons-in-law. And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city. And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; Yahweh being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city (Genesis 19:14-16).”

We should notice that these messengers used a bit of force to remove Lot and his family from the wicked city of Sodom. Amos 4:11 teaches; “I [Yahweh] have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith Yahweh.” Such people who would not ‘return’ to Yahweh and His Laws were Lot’s own in-laws who considered him to be a “mocker” much like Noah. Upon removal of Lot, his wife and two daughters from the city of Sodom, Yahweh's answer to Abraham’s intercessory prayer is completed through these two ‘angels.’

Here's what the angels say; “It came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed. And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord: Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast showed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die: Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live. And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken. Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar (Genesis 19:17-22).”

“Look not behind thee” and “Flee Sodom.” These are clear-cut commandments spoken by Yahweh through His angels and can be attributed to all manner of wickedness. Once a Christian abstains from past wickedness they should never look back nor be desirous of the wicked (Proverbs 1:10). Many apostate churches now teach such non-biblical nonsense like homosexuals are welcome in the Kingdom of God or that they should even be considered as human -- let's not fall into that trap.

Here's where Yahweh, the man of war (Exodus 15:3), sends His heavenly fire upon Sodom and the other cities; “The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar [little]. Then Yahweh rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from Yahweh out of heaven; And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground. But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt. And Abraham got up early in the morning to the place where he stood before Yahweh: And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace (Genesis 19:23-28).”

Brimstone is sulfur according to the dictionary and Sodom was overthrown ‘in a moment’ as we read in Lamentations 4:6-7; “For the punishment of the iniquity of the daughter of my people is greater than the punishment of the sin of Sodom, that was overthrown as in a moment, and no hands stayed on her. Her Nazarites were purer than snow, they were whiter than milk, they were more ruddy in body than rubies, their polishing was of sapphire.” The ruins of Sodom today are covered in sulfur and an honest self-study will produce interesting proofs that these were not just allegorical ‘walled cities’ for the sake of scripture but instead authentic places of existence and examples of our pending demise.

Here's mention of Abe's answered prayer; “It came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt. And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar: and he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters. And the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth: Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father. And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose (Genesis 19:29-33).”

The seedline is essential and when Paul was teaching about the chosen seed (or remnant people) he remembers; “As Isaiah said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodom, and been made like unto Gomorrah.” Paul references the words of Isaiah the prophet much like Jesus so beware of ‘New Testament Only’ churches that teach against the Old Testament. Here’s the passage he quotes; “Except Yahweh of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah. Hear the word of Yahweh, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah (Isaiah 1:9-10).” As we can see these two cities became synonymous with wickedness in a symbolic sense as even Isaiah attributes those who can’t hear the Word of God as ‘spiritual residents (Ezekiel 16:46-56).’

Still, drunkenness is a major infraction of God’s Law and several abominable actions in the Bible can be directly attributed to this sin and the case of Lot and his daughters is no exception. We should keep in mind that there where no other people remaining in that general vicinity as Jeremiah 49:18 unmistakably states; “In the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbor cities thereof, saith Yahweh, no man shall abide there, neither shall a son of man dwell in it.” What this means is that this attempt to ‘preserve seed’ was a violation of Yahweh’s eternal Law regardless of what many might say. This is an unconcealed racial aspect of the scriptures that many queer priests would never touch upon so focus hard on this last part.

Now, let's finish the chapter; “It came to pass on the morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay last night with my father: let us make him drink wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father. And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose. Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father. And the firstborn bore a son, and called his name Moab: the same is the father of the Moabites unto this day. And the younger, she also bore a son, and called his name Ben-ammi: the same is the father of the children of Ammon unto this day (Genesis 19:34-38).”

The thing to notice in this account is that Yahweh wasn’t impressed with the behavior of Lot’ daughters and both bring forth abominable tribes as a result. Both Moab and Ammon are sentenced to be a ‘permanent misery’ by God as Zephaniah 2:9-11 plainly states; “Therefore as I live, saith Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel, Surely Moab shall be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, even the breeding of nettles, and saltpits, and a perpetual desolation: the residue of my people shall spoil them, and the remnant of my people shall possess them. This shall they have for their pride, because they have reproached and magnified themselves against the people of Yahweh of hosts. Yahweh will be terrible unto them: for he will famish all the gods of the earth; and men shall worship him, every one from his place, even all the isles of the heathen.” Many snakes still use Lot's misfortune as a direct attack against God and His eternal morality as found in the Law.

Even though Sodom was entirely destroyed and the only real survivor was “just Lot” due to the burning of his wife and transgressions of his daughters, the term sodomite quickly became a proverbial term for wicked homosexuals and ‘harlots.’ Yahweh straightforwardly gives Israel an eternal Law against homosexuals of any kind; “There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel (Deuteronomy 23:17)” and the word remains symbolic of this great evil throughout remaining scripture (I Kings 14:24, 15:12, 22:46 and II Kings 23:7). Beware of those who say that king James was pro-homosexual, this teaching can not be found in his appointed Bible.

According to Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance, the English word sodomite as found in Deuteronomy 23:17 is taken from the Hebrew word qâdêsh (pronounced kaw-dashe') and it literally means “a male devotee by prostitution to licentious idolatry (#H6945).” The Hebrew word transliterated into English as ‘whore’ as found in Deuteronomy 23:17 is qedêshâh (pronounced ked-ay-shaw') that means “a female prostitute (H6948) and it’s actually the feminine version of the same word qâdêsh. In Job 36:14 we find this verse; “They die in youth, and their life is among the unclean (qâdêsh).” Without a doubt, homosexual perverts are among the most unclean abominations in the eyes of Yahweh. Through this same term comes the derogatory term ‘dog’ taken from the lewd sex position that unhygienic male perverts engage in, more specifically Ashtorethtemple homosexuals. For example, in the very next verse the command continues; “Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of Yahweh thy God for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto Yahweh thy God (Deuteronomy 23:18).” Again, this term dog means “a male prostitute (#H3611)” and is a blatantly anti-homosexual word both then and now.

We read in II Kings 23:7; “He [Josiah] brake down the houses of the sodomites, that were by the house of Yahweh, where the women wove hangings for the grove.” These ‘groves’ are false idols known as Ashtoreth or ‘the queen of heaven.’ The Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Commentary says, “These are not solid houses, but tents, called elsewhere Succoth-benoth or ‘the booths of the young women’ who were devoted to the service of Asherah, for which they made embroidered hangings, and in which they gave themselves to unbridled revelry and lust. Or the hangings might be for Asherah itself, as it is a popular superstition in the East to hang pieces of cloth on trees.

Modern-day witches sometimes ‘hang pieces of cloth on trees’ for their false gods such as in the case of Charles Manson and his murdering crew who hung “witchy things” in the trees after murdering several people including actress Sharon Tate.

My intention with this study is to shed more light on current events that are taking place before our very eyes because there is a strong homosexual movement in the world and their serpentile targets are set towards our youth. Isaiah 13:19 teaches; “Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah” even further making this account part of end-time prophecy. Let’s all do our part to listen to Yahweh’s commandments.

We must also never forget this true-life teaching of Jeremiah; “I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem a horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah (Jeremiah 23:14).” Like in the days of old we have many false prophets in the land who don’t separate between the clean and unclean (Ezekiel 22:26) and many even preach that Jesus Christ never condemned queers, only by saying He isn’t God can they even attempt such acts.

Take comfort in the fact that the Bible teaches these days must come before the return of our Savior. That is reason alone not to allow queers to affect us in life but at the same time we must always be a voice of reason even if we are the minority of Christian believers. Many false prophets teach that we must blindly submit to ‘the laws of the land’ but what happens if the Bible becomes outlawed? Sure, there will actually be many hypocritical ‘Christians’ who once again allow Uncle Scam to dictate their morals, much like they fight against the Ten Commandments. These reptiles are simply not Christian. War for Christ! Amen.

Amen.

Nice read. Reminds me of the day I was sitting in the Ferdinand Plaza Park. This was my first year as a Homeless Persons Preacher. Two men where sitting beside me, ?ton? and ?enr?. names are changed to protect the innocent.
I told them a spiritual story. I said, Satan the Prince of the demons sends demons into people to confuse them so they will have a false desire for the same sex. I said this so that they would know what they where fighting.

Many homeless people can not read and ?enr? needed the bible on MP3 player which I provided. Several months later ?enr? said, I've given up my gay life style and have become a christian."

Here is a similar circumstance...

John 8:3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
John 8:4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
John 8:5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
John 8:6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
John 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
John 8:8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
John 8:9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
John 8:10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
John 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

I love people and sinners are the people Jesus came to save and now is my work.

Your exegesis is flawed, your condemnation of other translations of the Bible incorrect and without any scriptural support at all and as well you are also entirely incorrect.
How so, everything i supplied is directly FROM scripture, the 'other' translations are going to be even less accurate than the KJV which they are based from simply because the original translation was so skewed. How is this incorrect? It is straightforward, honest, and doesn't beat around the bush, which is something i find all too common with many christians today. There is simplicity in Christ my friend, we shouldnt be afraid to speak the truth. Remember that, before the world hated us, it hated Christ. So of course this is sensitive and not tolerant at all, but is that what our Lord and Savior teaches? Does He make null the very laws that He set forth as Sinai? Im sure you would argue that eating pork is valid now, even though 7 times in scripture we are told not too.

Thank you! Its nice to hear something good in return rather than constant hostility towards the truth. I am working on many things, and have been for a long time. Some of it will be most controversial, as it touches topics that apparantly are too sensitive to discuss anymore. but still, its the truth, and we must live be 'every word'. God bless

Afraid to commit to a little reading? So sorry that its not a quick few verses that tickle your ears.Next time, maybe Ill start a thread relating to a new cookie recipe that is really 'uplifting'

-- No, but - apparently unlike you - I am employed and do have the entire day to pound out a lengthy self-indulgent posts, let alone criticize those who don't want to waste their time reading them.

Thanks for your input, though.

Sorry that you consider studying and testing all things to be 'a waste of time'. Like you I am employed and have a family that I devote a lot of my time to. These articles are months of study and preparation. I don't enjoy throwing things together, especially when its something as important as Scripture.

And you're welcome , by the way, for the input. :)

Hi xBlux,
Thanks for your OP. Very good. I disagree with you about the KJV except that I use it along with the NKJV as a backup to other trasnslations such as NIV. That is because it is arguably the best ever translation.

The big argument from the lgbt factions is that the account of Sodom has nothing to do with homosexuality as they understand it. However what they understand is a straw man they have created themselves which if they believed what the Bible says they would have known is error. Hence you get responses from them which just shows they dont believe the scripture. In fact they call eisegesis exegesis, evil good, sin love as we can see from Kiwimac's response. So one can't show the truth to people who are rejecting it.

God had already decided to destroy Sodom before the scripture details the homosexuality, but one can assume that it was prevelant before the angels arrived.

Exactly, and I find that the 'wolves' in our midst are often well versed in scripture, able to throw all sorts of odd balls our way. This is why we must 'study to show ourselves approved', that way we can discern good from evil and not make the same mistake many well meaning Christians do so often.

It is good that you don't agree with everything that i say, as no man can no all truth, we must rightfully divide the word of truth and apply line upon line and precept upon precept. Its all to common for those to come along and say 'new truths', but there simply is no 'new' truth. There is merely THE truth, and nothing else.

Only Jesus can give eyes to see and ears to hear, so lets pray that He continues to do so in this day and age of falling away

Keep dreaming Blue, Morning. There is nothing in the story about the condemnation and destruction of Sodom that resembles homosexual practices today. If a mob of men showed up at the doorway of a citizen of any city of America and demanded to engage in homosexual sex with a member of the household, today, they would arrested for sexual assault and attempted home invasion.

S&G were destroyed because God was angered by their worldliness, and the inhospitality of their citizens towards outsiders was the last straw.

Our country has committed much more offensive crimes during the past 230+ years, without mentioning homosexuality.

And still, the serpent in our midst seeks to sow dissent among the brethren... I pointed it out once on another topic, and this marks number two. Aspen here seems to like to completely disregard anything that is 100% scripturally based and chooses to accept whatever view seems acceptable to the world today. Of course it wasn't gays... because we have to accept them today or else we can be charged with a 'hate crime' but 25 years ago, we called them as we see them. Still an abomination which our children shouldn't be forced to see or interact with.

And I agree, one of the worst crimes our country has committed is the unquestioned support of the Zionist state of Israel. You ever think of the evils that come from their? The porn industry, the drug trade, abortion, feminism, 'civil' rights, our children dying for their agendas, sex slave trade, global banking and the current leaning towards a one world government, just to name a few. And deny if you will, but all of these things can be read in their own newspapers, seen on their own TV programs, and occasionally mentioned in US periodicals.

This is demonstrably not true. Homosexual practice is still men with men today. The text condemns men wanting sex with men. Even from the text we see that daughters were offered, which means opposite sex acts were offered to protect the hospitality, but same sex ones were not offered, and it was the same sex the men of Sodom wanted. Therefore the issue in question at Sodom just from this passage was not rape but homosexual practice.

However scripture needs to be understood in context and holistically. We know from the Bible throughout that men with men instead of women is error, we also know from earlier in Genesis at creation that woman was created for man.

S&G were destroyed because God was angered by their worldliness, and the inhospitality of their citizens towards outsiders was the last straw.
Careful, the first mention in Genesis is that their sins were grievous, the specific sins described are various throughout scripture, for example hospitality greed and pride in Ezekiel along with detestable things (men lying with men is described as detestable in Leviticus) and hospitality in Matthew 11, and with sexual immorality in Jude and 2 Peter 2.

Our country has committed much more offensive crimes during the past 230+ years, without mentioning homosexuality.
To whom? God destroyed Sodom, and homosexual practice is described as a barrier to the Kingdom, what could be worse than eternal death?

The OP is excellent, the issues today in society and culture around homosexuality are not about homosexuals at all, but about hating God. This is what the scripture says. People who wilfully practice and promote such things are God haters, not all people who experience same sex attraction wilfully practice or promote homosexuality, thus one could say there are homosexuals who love God and those who do not.

-- The Word says that Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed for a number of reasons. Homosexual activity was one off the reasons, but not the only one.
Gluttony, self-love, arrogance, lack of concern for the poor and the needy were also causes given in the Bible.

As far as "inhospitality of their citizens towards outsiders," that description is rather misleading. They sexually assaulted and killed them. That description from the Book of Wisdom was not "the last straw" since it was going on at the same time as all their other sins. And everything they did to the outsiders they also did to each other in those cities.

Our country has committed much more offensive crimes during the past 230+ years, without mentioning homosexuality.

-- Honestly, these are the eyes through which you see America?
There were periods in our history that were indeed reprehensible.
But your words do not acknowledge the millions of people in this world that are alive and free throughout the generations due to the selfless efforts of the United States.

To compare America - which has done more to spread the Gospel to the entire world than any other nation on earth - to those two cities whose populations were completely and systematically involved in debauchery and evil of the most extreme kind is silly.

Go through life believing that you are true in your thoughts. Pray if you must, but know this.. The lack of your willingness to even read something shows a lot about how you relate to Christ. We are to be 'wise as serpents' to defend our faith from the tares of this world, and yet, your actions are the same as those serpentile Pharisees. You choose to hide behind false assumptions and rude accusations rather than even attempt to provide any support for your 'ideas'.

Instead of belittling me, read it, study the scriptures provided, pray to God for enlightenment, and if any words are false, I am sure He will strike them from your memory.

Christ said, my sheep hear my voice... Do you hear it, or do you hear the words of man and the world?

LOL Blue,
This may be hard for you and your ego to comprehend, but just because someone doesn't want to wade through your mammoth cut and paste posts (or worse, they read through them and find some of them either racist, tripe, or both) does not give you an insight as to "how they relate to Christ" or qualify you to say their actions "are the same as those serpentile Pharisees."

Glad I could help.

Anyone who has read the Bible and kept up with the news know you have written the truth. This was a good read and I hope it helps someone who is undecisive. What do you think about the excuse that a person is gay because God made them that way?

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those thing which are not convenient. Romans 1:28

How can you get anyone to listen to you if they have a reprobate mind? Satan is the "father of lies" and snatches away word before they reach their ears. This too is part of prophecies.

Exactly, and I find that the 'wolves' in our midst are often well versed in scripture, able to throw all sorts of odd balls our way. And no marvel;for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. There fore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness;whose end shall be according to their works. II Corinthians 11:14-15 Satan and his ministers know the Bible as we do, but using a tiny bit of truth, they turn the truth of God into a lie. For someone who has read the Bible, and tried to get it eridicated many times, they are kinda dumb... we know who wins!

Aspen,
You had better read this agian. That did not happen in our modern time with our modern laws. This happen in a time when God's Law was the guide for life. Homosexuality was a crime to be stoned, yet Sodom not only condoned it, but did nothing to prohibit it. These men wanted to put it bluntly, to gang rape those two men. They refused virgins, which was prized at that time.

The topic is not about crimes committed during the past 200 odd years, but homosexuality over 2000 years ago.

Keep dreaming Blue, Morning. There is nothing in the story about the condemnation and destruction of Sodom that resembles homosexual practices today. Actually, it was before God gave the law to Moses. God destroyed S&G as an example of His sovereignty. They were worldly, hedonistic people, who apparently liked to rape visitors to their city. Rape and pedophilia are crimes no matter what gender is involved.

The destruction of S&G was much older than 2,000 years ago.

You are making my point GD, this story has nothing to do with our modern concept of homosexual partnerships between two consenting adults - so why do we use it to condemn homosexuals today?
