So you have a problem with the doctrine I am providing here and the way I provided it. Let's go over what I believe.
Satan and devils have no body, so speaking to them out loud has no added affect. Satan indeed can discuss things with you thru your thoughts by reading them spiritually. He can also hear what you're saying outloud thru reading it spiritually. Something I have witnessed myself.
Whether Jesus was speaking out loud to Satan when tempted, I see that as debatable. He could have had a thought conversation with him for all I know. I'm not sure the bible makes that distinction clear.
I did not say reading scriptures was not helpful. I in fact echoed that I read scriptures daily, watch online church daily, and pray on my knees for humility before God.
In my experience, I follow the biblical teaching that marriage is encouraged for people that cannot abstain from sin.
Also I believe that God is the only power that can rebuke Satan. Man I don't believe has power over him. So I encourage people to pray to God to remove temptation. Here is the scripture to support that:
James 4:7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Jude 9 Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”
Matthew 6:9 In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
10 Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
13 And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
