Its a simple problem. Here we are Jesus is enthroned in Jersalem, and somehow even though he is in his glorified state and no one yet unglorified can survive even the sight of him, we'll pretend .OK?

This is bound to make the papers ,maybe even the TV news. At any rate people are going to find out . And when they do what is going to happen? They are going to want to see him. A nice hug, maybe a 'word' or two for the charasmatics ,sign a picture that sort of thing.

So how many folks do you think might show up? Couple hundred? Couple thousand?

There is around 50 million Catholics in Italy. I'll wager at least 10% would try to make the trip to see Jesus . Five million , at .526 million minutes a year, not allowing for non believers or any new converts...about ten years.

So Peter and John set up an entrance and exit system and allow each pilgrim 60 seconds. Now thats not time with the Lord, thats coming in getting out and starting the process over.

Now here is the simple math.

24 (one day) X 60 (minutes per hour) = 1,440 minutes in a 24 hour day.

Elvis would draw more than this but its just a hypothetical,. The trouble is as you can see, the line will get longer ,never shorter, and it will get longer every day for a thousand years.
Just think of the glorious television coverage as thousands of mothers with sick children wail as their babes expire waiting their turn. And this 1,440 requires 24/7 no breaks of any kind. So much for Jesus trying your fried chicken.

I cant wait

Silliness!

How many survive to enter that time? Will people actually be making personal visits to the King of Kings?

Questions you cannot answer, I imagine!

But go ahead and set up a problem the way it amuses you . . ..

Hitch - the creator lives outside of time space and matter as we know it. Your elementary mathematics do not apply to how he does anything.

The words eternal and eternity mean a place without time .... right ?? .... I know you are asking about the millennium which of course is timed in years as we know them ..... but you are more interested in asking questions that nobody has an answer to.

And about a millennium that earlier you said you do not believe in.

Will there be trolls in the millennium Hitch?

The ridiculous deserves ridicule.

Its not me who wishes to place Christ in the flesh,in time in Jerusalem, surrounded again by sin and death.

Jesus has already been back down here after his death and resurrection.

Seemed to work out OK .

You have a real talent for tossing ridicule that lands back on your own lap Hitch.

Mind you .... I'm assuming Trolls have laps

Jesus will never be enthroned in literal Jerusalem, for on the night before he died, he told his eleven faithful apostles: "A little longer and the world will behold me no more, but you will behold me, because I live and you will live."(John 14:19)

The apostle Paul further said that after Jesus had offered "his own blood, once for all time into the holy place and obtained an everlasting deliverance [for us]" (Heb 9:12), he then says that Jesus "has manifested himself once for all time at the conclusion of the systems of things to put sin away through the sacrifice of himself. "(Heb 9:26)

Thus, Jesus will never return in the flesh again, for if he did, he would renege on his ransom sacrifice, making it void. That is why Paul also wrote that upon Jesus resurrection, he "became a life-giving spirit".(1 Cor 15:45)

Three days before his death, Jesus, quoting from Psalms 118:26, exclaimed to the inhabitants of Jerusalem: "For I say to you, you will by no means see me from henceforth until you say, ‘Blessed is he that comes in Jehovah’s name!’”(Matt 23:39) Thence, Jesus will never again set foot either in Jerusalem or on the earth in the flesh, having "manifested himself once for all time."

He is to rule from heaven, not on the earth, for that is why he proclaimed "the kingdom of the heavens" some 30 times in the Bible book of Matthew. In addition, at Daniel 7:13, 14, Daniel says that "I kept on beholding in the visions of the night, and, see there! with the clouds of the heavens someone like a son of man happened to be coming; and to the Ancient of Days he gained access, and they brought him up close even before that One. And to him there were given rulership and dignity and kingdom, that the peoples, national groups and languages should all serve even him."

Hence, Jesus rules from heaven, not the earth, for he approaches "the Ancient of Days", Jehovah God (who is in heaven), to be given "rulership and dignity and kingdom."

Jesus left in a real body and will return in a real body. Other than that we're in fair agreement.

Where do you come up with this stuff ?

Jesus left in a resurrected body and returned in a body that could pass through a wall , and also be touched by Thomas to feel the nail scars in his hand.
Where do you come up with this stuff.?

I direct you to the empty tomb. Jesus came in the flesh, died in the flesh and was bodily raised from the dead. This is a foundational Christian doctrtine.

LOL True enough until- Folks lke you want Him to take up an earthly throne,in person, and be again humbled by the constraints of time. Hence the term millennium

My, you have a short attention span
Jesus has already been back down here after his death and resurrection.

Seemed to work out OK .
Hmmmm are you among those who claim the Second Advent has already happened?

Well we see who is busy calling names. Ho hum

All He wanted to survive
Will people actually be making personal visits to the King of Kings?
Well wouldnt that be the point of His bodily presence ? If not what is the point ?

A non-answer.

You're coming up with these mathematics . . . base your numbers on something besides your own suppositions.

Can you just walk in to see the president? Obama isn't in the whitehouse for your personal viewing pleasure. Yet you suppose the King of Kings would be here just so you can drop in and say Hi?

He ate man's food too, and walked on the earth! All in His Resurrection Body!

Obviously some have come here to spread lies against Christ's future Resurrected bodily return, and really aren't interested in God's Truth, so I wouldn't even pay them any mind Arnie.

If you deny the future existence of the Rev.20 "thousand years" reign by Christ and His elect for after His literal bodily return, then yes.
Why have you altered your parameters Vet?

Here is what you originally complained about ;

Back pedaling again eh Vet?

As to this nonsense; If you deny the future existence of the Rev.20 "thousand years" reign by Christ and His elect for after His literal bodily return, then yes. I wonder whether you are aware that you've included the entire faculty of Dallas Theological Seminary and the institution itself, I seldom have been accused association with DTS. LOL

What must I do to receive another of your hilarious 'rebukes' Vet? That was a gas :)

Hitch ..... instead of telling us what we are all doing wrong .... why don't you just tell us what the heck it is you believe.

I doubt you will .... I doubt you could handle the scrutiny.

Trolls are like that.

How about another mathematical problem? This one pertains to today, here ansd now. You have a 150 cubic in ten cylinder engine.. that is a small engine though it has more cylinders than most. Now the Fuel / Air raito 02 Sensors are claimed to be set to is 15:1 fuel/air ratio. Auto mechanics books and even on-line will place this ratio at between 14:7:1 to 15.2:1. Now watch this... Each of the ten clyinders require one cubic inch of fuel per ignition. At 2000 RPM this 4 stroke engine fires 1000 times in one minute. Divide by 60 and you arrive at 16.666 ignitions per second. Because each ignition requires 1 cubic inch of gas... each cylinder uses 16.666 cubic inches of gas each second. Ten cyl;inders... so multiply by 10 = 166.666 cubic inches of gas per second this 150 cubic inch engine would require ...Each SECOND! There is 231 cubic inches of liquid in one US Gallon! Do you get it? 166.6 is near half a gallon used per second at a 15:1 fuel air ratio!!! Want something to make the news? How about this FRAUD.. a FRAUD that circles the GLOBE!!! Is a much higher efficient gasoline engine possible than what we have today? OH YES Much More efficient. Consider why this fraud is wrritten in the auto mechanics books! OK, so not one of you are mechanically inclined? How many of you can do this simple math to understand fraud?

The 15:1 ratio is 15 parts air and 1 part gasoline vapor,
A small amount of gas can produce a lot of vapor.

As far as a more efficient engine .....hard to do much better than we have today .... unless you want an engine that costs more than a house.
You can buy a lot of gasoline for the price of a house.

There is only so much energy in a gallon of gas .... you cannot extract more energy if it does not exist in the first place. There is no "magic carburetor". Cars waste a lot of energy in heat which is expelled through the exhaust and radiator.

Wind resistance is a big factor in fuel economy .... aerodynamics are much improved in modern day. Fuel injection run by a computers have greatly reduced wasted fuel.

But everything cost more .... an old small block Chevy fuel pump was about $25 and you could get 23 mpg , a modern car fuel pump can cost $600 , plus $600 for the computer, plus $600 for fuel injector ..... and you get 28 mpg.
You could put a lot of gas in the old Chevy for the $1800 spent on modern components.

Want to double your fuel economy ? .... Drive half as much.

I drive a Volkswagen Diesel that gets 60 mpg.
In US gallons it would be about 50 mpg.

No big future in electrics. It takes 500 pounds of batteries to equal the energy in one gallon of gas. Modern laptop type batteries have reduced it to about 400 pounds. Still very heavy. You would need 5000 pounds of batteries to equal one tank of gas. The batteries cost $10,000 to replace. Besides the electric grids cannot keep up now .... imagine if everybody was charging their car.
