Yes if we still sin. Every sin puts us under the law. The verses that say we are free are for those who have been made holy, actually not legally.then we are under law are we not?

Yes if we still sin. Every sin puts us under the law. The verses that say we are free are for those who have been made holy, actually not legally.then we are under law are we not?
#29Please remind me of your interpretation once more?..or lead me to your post, where you explained it.
We are still in our wretched self.....No we are still in it if we sin in thought word or deed.
AgreeI disagree,
our pride make us blind. and leads to sin.
the source of all sin is pride (carnality)
Maybe you did not see this earlier.Jesus is telling Nico that he must be born again. I don't agree with your interpretation of this as I have explained previously.
if we are under law. your right, every sin would condemn usYes if we still sin. Every sin puts us under the law. The verses that say we are free are for those who have been made holy, actually not legally.
Jesus is saying that spiritual rebirth is a mystery. If it was as you believe why did not just say follow me like He did previously? Obviously more is required (if He is speaking to a believer)Maybe you did not see this earlier.
Jesus made this statement
8- the wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
9 Nicodemus answered and said to Him, “How can these things be?”
10 Jesus answered and said to him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things? 11 Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? 13 No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
This is Jesus answer to how one is born again, what he meant when he said so is everyone who is born again
so where do you see your interpretation in here? what does this mean to you
At the point of conversion yes. Thereafter one compromises with sin and falls from that state and loses his first love. We must be these things in reality not just legally.if we are under law. your right, every sin would condemn us
But we (those who are Gods) are not under law but under grace.
Grace is based on Gods mercy, paid for by the Blood of Jesus..
and not sure where you get the "not legally" from. The term justified is a legal term. the term redeemed is a legal term. The term atonement is a legal term.
How can we lose our first Love...when he’s residing in our spirit? At the point of conversion yes. Thereafter one compromises with sin and falls from that state and loses his first love. We must be these things in reality not just legally.
Okay @Ritajanice tell me whether you love Christ exactly the same as when you were in the honeymoon period or perhaps your testimony. Can you remember coming to Him or was it when you were young? Thanks. How can we lose our first Love...when he’s residing in our spirit?
That’s impossible..imo/ belief.
The honeymoon period, stayed with me for years.Okay @Ritajanice tell me whether you love Christ exactly the same as when you were in the honeymoon period or perhaps your testimony. Can you remember coming to Him or was it when you were young? Thanks.
I don't hold to the idea of "progressive sanctification", but I do see a process in the renewing of the mind.marks what you are saying goes directly against what was taught very early in the church (and is seen in the scripture). You are talking about later developments which were clearly satanically introduced to keep men from the union. There is no gradual sanctification. There is a process of coming to the point when we see that we cannot do it.
It's not typical. I remember the exact time of the day, day, date etc 50 years ago.The honeymoon period, stayed with me for years.
I have developed a much deeper/ profound Love for=God.
I have a much deeper understanding of him.....I can only know God through the Spirit that he placed in my spirit.....I grow and understand in his knowledge, not my own knowledge...same as my Love for God, it just grows and grows...I couldn’t live with out God, he sustains and feeds me through his spirit.
I can remember him birthing me in the Spirit like it were yesterday...that was 31 yrs ago.
Sorry if none of this makes sense, I completely understand if it doesn’t.
it is a mystery? How is it a mystery, He told him what it was.Jesus is saying that spiritual rebirth is a mystery. If it was as you believe why did not just say follow me like He did previously? Obviously more is required (if He is speaking to a believer)
I can’t remember the date..but I know it was the evening, I was laying on my bed sobbing my heart out...and listening to, it must have been love song by Roxette....how bizarre is that. It's not typical. I remember the exact time of the day, day, date etc 50 years ago.
then he would be under law not under grace. At the point of conversion yes. Thereafter one compromises with sin and falls from that state and loses his first love. We must be these things in reality not just legally.
marks, yes we do progress and live better lives. This is common for JW's and Mormons too. Being amongst moral people. But it is up and down. Up at a conference and a dip when we get home. After Sunday etc.I don't hold to the idea of "progressive sanctification", but I do see a process in the renewing of the mind.
Is it your understanding that we are not able to progress in living a more righteous life until we receive Theosis, and then we are in a fully righteous life?
Much love!

I remember when I came to him, I can see it now like it was yesterday even though it was over 40 years agoOkay @Ritajanice tell me whether you love Christ exactly the same as when you were in the honeymoon period or perhaps your testimony. You did not say why Jesus did not just say to him 'follow me'. He went into some deep spiritual stuff that an unsaved man could make nothing of.it is a mystery? How is it a mystery, He told him what it was.
whoever looks at him, like the jews looked at the serpent. (whoever believed in him) would not perish (in order to die you must have been born again) and have eternal life.
he repeated it twice so their would be no confusion as to what he was saying..
why would he say these things twice if they really did not mean anything?
