Care to elaborate? what teaching(s)?
Just one strange teaching that this person believes is before Christ returns again, He will return in secret. (Their teacher says that is what "like a thief in the night" means.).

He returns in secret to speak more words to us....so that we may be purified. After that Jesus comes again.

The above is just one example of the strange teaching.

What does Jesus say about his second coming?
Will we get an advanced warning? (nope)

I'm guessing this teacher is being misquoted. (slandered)

The "true truth"?
As opposed to what? (the false truth?)
I hope that;s not a double negative.
Do double positives cancel each other out too?
Not sure.

/
Those who oppose the truth . . . consider carefully . . . those who oppose the truth will in time themselves be "cancelled".

Much love!

St. SteVen said:
Are we saved by doctrine?

Right.
Why all this fuss about doctrine then?
It doesn't save anyone.

/
I suppose you'd prefer we not concern ourselves with what is true? Is that the point? It seems to be what you've been talking about.

Ephesians 4:11-15 KJV
11) And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12) For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13) Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
14) That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15) But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

Do you prefer to remain children? Or shall we grow up into truth?

Much love!

That is or used to be a common belief.
He returns in secret to speak more words to us....so that we may be purified. After that Jesus comes again.
This I've not heard of.

I am not misquoting this teacher with strange teachings. Here is the video. Within the first several minutes, he starts talking about the secret arrival of Christ....basing it on verses such as "the thief in the night" and "Behold I stand at the door and knock".

He also talks about a new age....no grace, and more. Like I said, it's strange teachings.

It’s like he’s playing God,Debp...he wants to be worshipped...I really don’t understand it all.

I just thank God I’m in his truth.

Jehovah witness I heard today from a friend...that if the family don’t follow them in their faith...they disown them...have nothing more to do with them..how strange is that...it’s control...

Does that make it false?
The Bible speaks of this age and the one to come.

Luke 18:29-30 NIV
“Truly I tell you,” Jesus said to them,
“no one who has left home or wife or brothers or sisters
or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God
30 will fail to receive many times as much
in this age, and in the age to come eternal life.”

Shunning and disowning is common in all fundamentalist religions.
And in Christianity, there is a biblical basis. (doesn't make it right)

No, it's not the same. We are not to fellowship with the infidel, but we are worse then the infidel if we don't care for our own families. They will shun their families, not in keeping with the Bible.

And if you are saying that a practice that is not right has Biblical basis, you are declaring the Bible to be immoral, and you shouldn't expect that I'd agree with you on that one.

Much love!

Yes, I watched five minutes of this. It does seem a bit off. But it focuses on Eschatology.
There is a lot of disagreement among many Christians about that subject.

When I was into Eschatology years ago, everyone (it seemed) believed in a PreTrib Rapture. Not any more.
Now PostTrib is all the rage. Was I under false teaching in the past? Are we under false teaching now?
Hard to say. Even the Bible disagrees on this subject. And there were contradictions in this video.
