God is going to return His creation back to a perfect state like how He originally created it, which is what the future new heavens and a new earth is about.

No Biblical proof for the 6,000 year-old earth theory. That idea came from tradition; it began with those who took Bishop Ussher's 17th century work with the chronology he did from Christ Jesus back to the man Adam (4004 B.C.). He had to stop at the time of Adam's creation because of no further chronology for flesh man. So some simply decided to treat the events of Gen.1 as six 24 hour period days, and then the 4004 years to Christ, and then roughly 2000 years since Christ's crucifixion give roughly 6,000 years.
To show how extreme some are today in that tradition, they go out looking for LIVE dinosaurs today!
What God's Word actually reveals in Genesis 1, is that in the beginning God did... create the heavens and the earth, but in a perfect state. Then at Gen.1:2 the earth became a waste and an undistinguishable ruin (Hebrew tohuw va bohuw).
SOMETHING happened to God's original Perfect creation of the earth between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2.
What do you think happened?
Satan's rebellion! That's the only time possible when Satan could have first rebelled and drew a third ot the angels (stars) into rebellion with him, setting up a beast kingdom of old, having ten horns, seven heads, and SEVEN crowns (Rev.12:3-4). (notice the one for the end in Rev.13:1 is to have TEN crowns). This is why by the time of Adam and Eve in God's Garden, "that old serpent" (Satan) was already fallen and in the role as the adversary in tempting Eve.
This is not just some theory on Gen.1. Apostle Paul covers some of it in Romans 8 when he mentiioned how the creation ("creature") seeks a release from vanity and the bondaged which God placed it in, along with the future manifesting of the sons of God. In Jer.4:24-28, God is reminding His people of this also, while showing how "sottish" (stupid) they are for not listening to Him and being without knowledge of it. This also is what Peter was really talking about with the end of "the world that then was" in 2 Pet.3, and of how some are WILLINGLY ignorant of it. It's what Peter was referring to within Paul's Epistles of some things hard to understand which some wrest with.
Only once that part is understood in God's Word will more in other Scriptures be revealed to the Bible student, and apparently only if God gives it. I meet believers more and more today that are coming to understand this matter, which tells me God is opening up this message more and more today as we get closer to the end of this present world.
To understand this gives more reason why Satan is coming again just prior to our Lord Jesus' future second coming to end his structure on the earth of the Rev.13:1 beast kingdom over all nations and peoples of this world. it explains why Paul would warn of a false one coming to sit in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God, exalting himself over all that worshipped or called God (2 Thess.2).
God destroyed that "world that then was" with a worldwide flood when Satan first rebelled on this earth. Not the time of Noah's flood, but the flood of Gen.1:2, which is what those waters there in Gen.1 are about. There's been 2 worldwide floods on this earth, not just one in Noah's days. Always wondered why the Woolly Mammoth were discovered frozen entact in the Arctic, still with vegetation in their mouth and undigested in their stomach? It reveals they were in a lush green field in the Arctic in the process of grazing when an instant freeze happened there, and all of sudden waters buried them and froze too. God literally shook this earth with that first destruction of flood to end Satan's original rebellion against Him, which most likely is why the earth is tilted off axis. With the flood of Noah's day, God did not shake the earth.
So where did all those waters come from that showed up on the earth at Genesis 1:2?
That's what originally covered the whole earth's sky, enveloping the earth like a protective canopy, NO holes in the cloud atmosphere at that time. It's the many holes in today's cloud atmosphere that cause the continuous hot and cold fronts responsible for today's violent weather patterns. That condition did not originally exist. This whole earth was literally a paradise over all of it originally, which is what the fossil records reveal, at both Poles, and in the mid regions of the earth. It's the condition God was talking about in the following Jer.4:28 verse (marked in bold)...
Jer 4:27-28
27 For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.
28 For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black: because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.

Did you know this earth is in a state of mourning? The heavens above being black is about storm clouds, today's weather system. It's not how God originally created it, nor intended. Satan's rebellion of old caused Him to put His perfect creation into a state of bondage and vanity...
Rom 8:18-23
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

(The words "creature" and "creation" there are the same Greek word ktisis.)
That's a direct parallel to the earth being in a state of mourning per Jer.4:28.
This is WHY today when man seeks to be perfect, and also seek to create perfection, he cannot... do it. The whole creation even, is placed in a state of vanity and bondage today by God, because of what Satan did against Him in the time of old. And we've been thinking this earth how God made it today is perfect?!? We all have believed that, but we are wrong to have believed that, because today's state of God's creation is far... from being perfect. God's Paradise literally... upon ALL the earth, is His Perfect state of creation. That's what the new heavens and a new earth is going to be about, a literal return... to the original perfect creation He made in the beginning prior to Satan's rebellion. This is why Rev.21:1 reveals "no more sea" (no more oceans). The ocean waters upon this earth today are going to go back... up into the cloud atmosphere, and fill all those holes that are not supposed to be there.
That... is the Salvation hope in God's coming Kingdom by Faith through the Blood of Jesus Christ that we are to have hope for, like Paul reveals in Romans 8. That's... when the manifesting of the sons of God (i.e., resurrection) with the new heavens and a new earth will come in the future. The wicked will not see it nor be a part of it. So now is the time to decide where you want to be when Jesus Christ returns in the near future. All those who believe on The Father through Jesus Christ and remain standing in Him when He returns will... see that future manifesting.

Much ado about nothing of lasting importance. The Scriptures tell us God created everything. It does not tell us how or over what period of time because that is not significant to the story. The story is about the greatness of God, about his justice and love revealed in his mercy toward us.

God in his mercy has given us, through his Son, the means of receiving a new nature and opting out of the rebellion and into a loving relationship with him. He has promised to remain with us always and to provide us with a new home (a new heaven and earth) where no signs of the rebellion will ever exist again.

Does anyone who has any faith in the existence God and believes in any way that they wil stand before him some day truely belive that he will ask you any of these questions or expect you to have any answers about how he created the world ? anybody ?....Science has truely become another religion in and of itself and has produced a congregation seeking answers to questions they will never be required to have an answer for while leaving them devoid of any answers to/for what will be required of them.

Well, it is the job of scientists to consider theories that are based on evolution - same with science teachers, regardless of their faith in God.
For me, I am much more interested in the story of the Fall of man than in the story of creation - for example, the details of Intelligent Design bore me so much, I can barely stand to listen to people talk about it for 5 minutes.
I do not think I have ever started a thread on the Creation Story. I have responded to threads on the subject, however.
the problem is that the Fall is not understood and the implications thereof - so just see here in your own case from a fallen/flawed state you have in an unaware state of pride concluded that you can think or not think when in fact you only think you can think or not think - not only do you and I not think but we do not even breathe or do much else also that we claim we do but in fact it is in Him that we live and move and have our being - this we must humbly accept and return the glory back to God as awesome creator and designer - we are,in fact,as the song says "busy doing nothing" - winc

Creation is not an illusion. Humans are already prideful without fossils and ancient rock formations planted by God to mislead them. Are you suggesting that we deny what we observe to be true about fossils and geology? The same mistake was made in the Catholic Church when they ignored the observations of Galileo - now we have a rover on Mars based on many of his ideas about the galaxy.
I am not suggesting what you claim I am suggesting - lets just clearly see and observe to be true about fossils and geology and start by first observing that the geological column only exists in imagination and textbooks - Galileo was and is wrong see www.galileowaswrong.com - winc
I just love the ignorance of people who try to force false notions of man's evolution theory into what I revealed from God's Word about His ancient creation of all things. Those reveal they're the ones that are going to be most shocked by the future earth changes coming upon this earth. Maybe when those see a cow today, in their mind they see a dinosaur?
the problem is there are too many maybes flying around and its just as well we have an awesome and intelligent creator and designer and that cows and dinosaurs did not and cannot fly or we would be covered in the excrement some are determined we accept - of course there are jumbo jets but thankfully not flying elephants - winc
God has left us the very evidence of His original creation of old, the world He destroyed when Satan first rebelled against Him. That's when the dinosaurs walked upon this earth. The existence of that evidence in the fossil record is not about some supposed battle between God's Word and man's science. It's about the evidence that God Himself left us, and His Word agrees with it.
Those who heed God's Word as written will discover how God reveals this (with His help). But men's doctrines will only continue to deny the evidence He left us.
The only thing man's science has done with the evidence is to recognize it exists, but then propose everything and anything else instead of God having created that old world that then was, and then destroying it when Satan rebelled.
