It seems to me that ultimately there is no leak-proof rational apologetic for the existence of God.
Reason being, it requires faith to come to God. If it was subjective truth, there would be no other reasonable option.

It's just not direct evidence like saying "Here I am!"
It's indirect evidence pointing to it. Something "like this world" has to come from a God/creator.
If a television was put in your living room but you didn't put it, it must've been someone else who did it!

Should I tell this friend of 35+ years that we are through being friends because the Bible tells me so?
I was Best Man at his wedding a month ago. He's better than any Christian friend I have ever had.

Agree. I know my friend shrugs that one off. He looks to science for answers.

An Agnostic is different from an atheist. Among atheists there are strong atheists,those who are certain no thing like a god exists due to lack of evidence. While weak atheists,so called,are much like A gnostics. They don't believe there to be a god however,they are open to proof there is.

For the OP question,why argue with the Agnostic? When life isn't providing proof of a power higher than their consciousness,what means is available to convince them? Only God calls them out of their autotheism. (seeing self as god)

The only thing he sees regarding Christians is opportunity to kick them around because he despises them in fact !

I have seen him rip people off 24/7 because they trusted him, his workers and people who got him to build a house etc put trust in him in good faith ? but No ! it comes down to the Law ? He is a business man ? and if he can get away with anything he will try every trick in the book come hell or high water and if one trust him, he totally has no regard for such people at all and totally despises them for such, he looks down on such people totally 100% with so much hatred, i have seen him in a total 100% rage because someone trusted him regarding a business dealing.

So i believe that when people get caught in such a trap regarding business over the years they become a person with no moral fiber what so ever and they just become a walking lie dispenser 24/7 because that's all that they do all day long. i have seen many of them turn into much ! No regards to wife of family at all ! it's all about number one !

From my discussion (not arguing) today with my friend, I talked about the importance of personal revelation as the best evidence.
Personal revelation, as in how God reveals himself to each individual.

Most Godless people believe that Christians are only such as a goody two shoes idiot ? so they will spend all their time working to provoke one, so they can try and claim the upper hand.
Then they will say, See goody two shoes is just as carnal as them ?
We have played the moron with such and such got angered just the same as any idiot will ? but ! General report from my "sinful" get-together with my friend yesterday.
Things pretty well continued in our usual vein of mixed discussion, including spiritual things.

We talked about the CHZ and the GHZ.
I didn't press the point just wanted to see where he was at with it.
I also talked about the importance of personal revelation as the best evidence.
Personal revelation, as in how God reveals himself to each individual.

Toward the end of our day together I was asking God when we would have meaningful discussion.
What I heard was, "This is it." This happened during the discussion about a personal revelation of God.
He then shared with me the revelation that his wife had. (one of them) So, he totally gets it.

I suppose we need to pray that God gives him that personal revelation.
