You could say I'm not with the women's lib movement for the most part. Like in roles of authority unless there is no head of the house and the mom has to be the dad too. The fatherless suffer today in our society because of this.As to Lynn Cheney, I'd not vote for a woman for any ruling office. That is to be reserved for men -
Gen 3:16 NLT "Then he said to the woman, 'I will sharpen the pain of your pregnancy, and in pain you will give birth. And you will desire to control your husband, but he will rule over you.'”
I believe that is the proper dynamic equivalent rendering of the verse, based on Gen. 4:7 and I find God only instructs his people to "choose" men to lead and rule, never a woman. Now God may put a woman in such a position, but never are we given that instruction to do it.
I had a position at work that most men considered a man's job. I worked in a print shop as a machine operator.
I knew I could do the job and I did, but I was also silently judged for it, I could tell.
Sometimes you just know when people don't approve of your .... ? abilities.
I just don't judge people to the best of my ability, gender, race, ethnicity.... I judge their fruits and if they have none, I judge their works.
You can have people that help other people but their attitude really stinks.
I don't want a woman for President either. And I wouldn't vote for one.
But God does the selecting and if it be, so be it.
