Did I set the standard, or did God's word set the standard? No, I am certainly not in the habit of using such gutter talk! When I think of the Presidency, I can't help but think of a government of the people, by the people and for the people.

You are correct it is God's Word that sets the standard. But what you do is make yourself the arbitrator for who you think may or may not be pure of heart. You cannot know another's heart, only God knows what is in the heart of all mankind. And when it comes to political party members, or politicians in general I have come to understand that none, not one of them live by what sayeth the Scriptures!

see also FUCK OFF, FUCK UP

fuck

2
usually obscene : a sexual partner
3
a
usually vulgar : DAMN sense 2
b
usually vulgar —used especially with the as a meaningless intensive
what the fuck do they want from me

From God's word -

"But fornication and impurity of any kind, or greed, must not even be mentioned among you, as is proper among saints. Entirely out of place is obscene, silly, and vulgar talk; but instead, let there be thanksgiving. Be sure of this, that no fornicator or impure person, or one who is greedy (that is, an idolater), has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God." (Eph 5:3-5 NRSV)

The obscene and vulgar go along with being a fornicator!

A recorded quote from Jesus Christ -

"You brood of vipers! How can you speak good things, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. The good person brings good things out of a good treasure, and the evil person brings evil things out of an evil treasure. I tell you, on the day of judgment you will have to give an account for every careless word you utter; for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” (Matt 12:34-37 NRSV)

THIS FORUM SEEMS TO BE POPULATED WITH AN OVER ABUNDANCE OF PHARISEES!

You abandon the commandment of God and hold to human tradition.” Then he said to them, “You have a fine way of rejecting the commandment of God in order to keep your tradition! (Mark 7:8-9 NRSV)
I know what the dictonary defines words as. And they are changing the definitions daily to fit the culture of the times.
Depends on who has the power of the pen over definitions.

The word F*** used today, most oftenly has absolutely nothing to do with the act of fornication.
Why don't you get a F'ing job? Doesn't mean go out and prostitute yourself.
Today's definition is one of emphasis as stated in another post.

In today's society the F word and many other "vulgar" words are just part of the language, their meanings are meaningless.
You can take offence to them, a lot of people do. It's OFFENSIVE, it's supposed to be.

Yo'baby, you my bit**. Now we know the definition of Bitch is a female dog. In the sentence I gave, it's actually used as an adoration, even though we find it very offensive.
The language we have today is anything but pure. We say things we don't mean, and don't mean things we say.

It has nothing to do with the formation of the letters, it's the intention behind the word that matters.
And today's intentions look nothing like any dictionary that we are familiar with.

However, there are now new dictionaries being written everyday that has every "vulgar" word in them, and the way they are defined today.

Watch the transition happen before your very eyes:

Stay Woke

The new sense of 'woke' is gaining popularity

What to Know
Woke is now defined in this dictionary as “aware of and actively attentive to important facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice),” and identified as U.S. slang. It originated in African American English and gained more widespread use beginning in 2014 as part of the Black Lives Matter movement. By the end of that same decade it was also being applied by some as a general pejorative for anyone who is or appears to be politically left-leaning.
Update: This word was added in September 2017.
If you frequent social media, you may well have seen posts or tweets about current events that are tagged #staywoke. Woke is a slang term that is easing into the mainstream from some varieties of a dialect called African American Vernacular English (sometimes called AAVE). In AAVE, awake is often rendered as woke, as in, “I was sleeping, but now I’m woke.”

This is the entry you will find when looking up the word "woke" in the Meriam Dictionary today.

We can play word salad all day. But the truth is the meanings of the words themselves have changed.
I understand nastalgia and wanting to live in a world that's gone by, but it's time to face reality, and here we are.
I can't understand half the things this generation talks about, because I don't understand the language.
The only way to communicate is to learn it. And put the nastalgia behind you.

The world is changing, the same way we don't say, Thee and Thou and Thy. I have to find interpretations for biblical words because we don't use them anymore. And I seek to learn them. You have to back and forth in order to be able to communicate and understand the world around you.
We all like our own little bubbles, I get it. But if you feel you need to approach someone and tell them something you feel is important, then you can't speak chinese to an italian. You can't speak Russian to an American, unless they understand the language.

And today's language is changing faster than you can blink an eye.

Hugs

The Merriam-Webster I quoted is the current version for today! There can be NO truth stated when each and everyone in a group can redefine the use of words to suit their own purpose rather than using standard definitions. That is absolutely absurd!

This is my last post on Christianity Board, and I'm sure that will please many if not most here.
I've just today realized why I am finding this forum so divorced from the name it claims. I thought all on these forums for Christians only, were actually holding to the Christian faith. I see today that even a Unitarian is accepted here as "Christian". I now see why a particular word is banned. When a church that even the NCC will not accept as a member because it denies the basic teaching of the Ecumenical Creeds is called "Christian", I see it certainly is NOT a forum for me. I will cease posting with this reply. I suspect even this reply will be removed, so be it.

Dictionaries ARE re-defining words. They have not ceased to do so since dictionaries were invented. This creates a problem for people as they grow older and find that what they mean by their words is not always received as intended.

Basically, any label that comes to have a negative connotation is discarded and replaced with a new label, which then comes to have a negative connotation and gets discarded and this continues ad nauseum. It's retarded. Or whatever-the-replacement-word for that is.

If you keep up with current events, I do not see how you cannot know Sen. Joe Manchin. He has been a thorn in Biden's side for some time now, blocking some of the extremes of Biden's bills.

Here's all you need to know about Joe vs Joe.

Both of them are Catholic, "Pro-Life" Joes.... Yet both of them fully support and are supported by the abortion industry.

When Trump's Supreme Court Justice appointees tipped the balance of the Court it was THE most important thing that Trump ever accomplished. Roe v Wade was overturned as a result.

Joe Manchin said--

“I am deeply disappointed that the Supreme Court has voted to overturn Roe v. Wade. It has been the law of the land for nearly 50 years and was understood to be settled precedent. I trusted Justice Gorsuch and Justice Kavanaugh when they testified under oath that they also believed Roe v. Wade was settled legal precedent and I am alarmed they chose to reject the stability the ruling has provided for two generations of Americans."

The fact is---- Manchin votes with Biden 88% of the time. A vote for Joe is a vote for Joe.

Welcome to the real world.

I quoted also from the current Merriam-Webster dictionary.

And your right, Truth is almost obliterated these days.
We have propaganda filling our news and media trying to manipulate and persuade that their side is the only side that's right.
They use deception and "new words" like misinformation, disinformation, malinformation, and use them as weapons against peoples ideologies and beliefs. Conspiracy theories definition was (out of an obscure passage someone wrote in the 1800's) applied right after JFK was assisinated, so they could demean anyone who questioned their narrative of what happened.

The world is in chaos. And I think the reality of that is just hitting you. It's what we call being red-pilled.
Red-pilled comes from the movie the Matrix, where Neo is asked if he wants to stay in his world of delusion he should take the blue pill, but if he chooses to see the world as it is in reality he should take the red-pill.

Nothing is as it seems.
For real.

The rational and commonsense foundations have shifted. We are all walking on quicksand today, waiting to be swallowed up with lies and deceptions. They are all around us.
The only thing keeping us from sinking, is the faith in our Lord and King Jesus Christ.

Don't get caught up in the verbage, listen to the heart not the words.
Listen to the emphasis, not the letters.

Because today it's the heart that is screaming, crying, hating, loving, needing... you won't hear it in the words. You have to listen with your heart. Your compassion, your empathy, your kindness, gentleness.. you know the list.

Otherwise you won't hear a thing.
It's a MAD MAD MAD MAD world.
Jesus come quickly!
Amen

THEN DO NOT LISTEN TO HIM.

On those caught hot mic moments you hear it all.

MAKE SURE you do not vote.

MAKE SURE you do not complain of the outcome.

I don't believe anything gets removed unless you yourself removes it or it goes against the forums rules.

Anywho..
I wish you wouldn't leave. I know the world getting very uncomfortable for a lot of us.
We don't want to go along with the changes. But they are happening nevertheless.
We have to learn how to navigate through the changes, but never leaving our values and princilples behind.
Because that's what they want. They want you soul, They want your allegience. They want you to bow down and worship them.

Problem is, most the world is already under that persuasion. And the only way to reach them is to reach into the fire yourself.

Jde 1:23
And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

The angel of the Lord went into the fiery furnace to protect Daniel and his friends.
The world is the fiery furnace, and we aught to love one another enough to walk through the flames.

Typical knee-jerk leftist move. The one thing they can't tolerate is anyone opposing their views.

Yes, heresies are abounding. And also, people say a lot of different things that is just their opinion but not heretical.
I don't like how Trinity discussions are banned here either. I don't like any discussion subjects banned that are Christianity oriented.

My remark is in no way racist, it is true, I am an Evangelical Christian and Evangelist, I am of Creek heritage and Black, in my community the majority does not support this idiot, and I'm so glad to know that only a small percentage of white evangelicals do, however with that being said I'm not sure that percentage is even Christians. This foul mouth, thief, two-timing, rapist, unapologetic fool should in no way be held up to the world as being Christ like. Come on now these labels liberals, democrats, republicans is not worth lowering your standards, BEFORE YOU ARE A REPUBLICAN YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO BE SAVED!
and you think you are a Christian that actually follows Jesus???? The fact that you even mention race proves you are a racist.

Only thing I ever noticed banned on the forum was talk about election fraud and questioning covid's origens.
And that was short lived.
I must be missing something.
Oh and studying astrology and the stars, I got hit with that one because it was new age or something.
Are trinity discussions banned?
hmm..
I probably should go back and read the rules. I didn't know there was any banning going on.

And this isn't just a Christian forum, there is a whole section for non-christians to post.
But I believe non-christians aren't allowed to post in the christian section and vice versus.
So maybe it's not the topic, but which section your posting in?

Just thinking..

I support fully so much of the policy decisions President Trump has made and put into effect. I voted for him in 2016 and 2020 and also supported his Presidential run with money. His narcissism in the past I attributed to a sense of humor that was geared to tweak and arouse the anger of leftists and RINOs. Now I am seeing his narcissism has become solidly how he truly thinks. This is dangerous for his belief that he can never be wrong has gone to extreme. The following statements in that video are repulsive to me as a believer in Jesus the Christ, Jesus the Messiah sent to save his people:

“And on June 14, 1946, God looked down on his planned paradise and said, ‘I need a caretaker,’ so God gave us Trump.”

The Trump video includes repeated religious references and quotations from the Bible. A narrator describes Trump as one who “follow(s) the path and remain(s) strong in faith.”

Trump, "strong in the faith"???? The only faith Trump evidences is faith in himself, not faith in God or the American people. I do not like making a political commercial or whatever they call it, of a human being being described in like manner as when God the Father sent God the Son to earth to save his people. That seems blasphemous to my thinking.

In 2016 and 2020 I passed Trump off as our modern day Cyrus, not a child of God by faith in Christ, but he was used by God to make certain policy decisions to give opening for Christians to live and breathe freely under our government. His Roe Vs Wade view on appointing the 3 Supreme Court Justices was his greatest achievement; and, he did seem to try to stop the flow of illegals into the USA, with intense opposition by Leftists and de facto Communists in this country.

While Governor DeSantis is not great on a debate stage, nor is he an imposing presence; in Florida he did excellent work, and kept his finger on most things happening in the State. Governor DeSantis is fully conservative and effective in an executive position like Governor and President. I'll vote for DeSantis in the primary and hopefully in Nov. 2024; but I'm concerned Trump will win the nomination even with all the personal baggage he'll have. I'll end up either voting 3rd Party or not vote in the Presidential choice part of the ballot. There are two sayings I've considered: "Don't vote for the lesser of two evils for it is still evil"; or "Don't reject the good for an insistence on the perfect." I may not have the exact wording, but that is the substance.

In the past I could view Trump as our Cyrus, today I must reject him for his increased narcissism which has become extreme and no longer humorous. We can have good Christian and conservative values in Gov. Ron DeSantis without so much underlying wickedness. He has proven himself as an efficient executive in the State of Florida.
When men seek these high and powerful offices, all of them have some level of a messianic complex.
