The Westminster Catechism, Short Version, begins:
Q: What is the chief end of man?
A: Man’s chief end is to glory God, and to enjoy Him forever.
What exactly does this mean? Glorify God?
The two great commandments are to love the Lord your God . . . And to love your neighbor like yourself.
If we demonstrate our love for God by loving our neighbor (kind, caring, gentle, loving . . . ), is that just a different way of stating the Catechism?
