I am not surprised that you don't think so. Yet without the Spirit of God you can't get there from anywhere. It would be a good Idea to work on that. Because where your heart is there your treasure will be also.

Until I see scripture that says "the Spirit of God is a key" then I will believe your interpretation. Right now, I do NOT believe that the Spirit of God is an object. God Himself is spirit, and that is found in the Holy Bible.

John 4:22 God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth.

God is definitely NOT an object. He is a spirit, therefore, a spirit could not be a key, which is an object. A spirit is a person....a being with intellect.

We already have the promise of the Holy Spirit and God is already present in the Church as our Head. This is who we are:

Ephesians 2:19-22 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.

We are a Church that have existed for 2000 years founded by Christ through the Apostle Peter whom we can trace our lineage to.

and how is it that you came to know the Holy Spirit?

it and in truth.

God is definitely NOT an object. He is a spirit, therefore, a spirit could not be a key, which is an object. A spirit is a person....a being with intellect.

Then show us the keys given to Peter

Wrong Spirit. If you haven't asked God regularly every day to fill you with His Spirit, Then you don't have His Spirit. The spirit of man wanting or hoping or pretending is not the Spirit of God. Only those who ask receive.

Luke 11
13 So if you, even though you are bad, know how to give your children gifts that are good, how much more will the Father keep giving the Ruach HaKodesh from heaven to those who keep asking him!"

In the Holy Bible, it already says that Christ gave the keys to the Apostle Peter (See Matthew 16:19). Are you questioning the Holy Bible??

Are you saying that St. Paul was telling the Ephesians that they received the wrong spirit?

No I am saying that you have the wrong spirit that is holding you captive from seeing the truth.

2 Peter 2
19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage.

Brother Spirit Covenant, so far, everything in my post has been a response to a question and providing biblical support or asking a question for more clarification. Now, all you can say is I'm being held captive by the wrong spirit. How so....when I've been providing biblical support. A poster under this thread claims that the Spirit of God is a key, and so far he/she has not been able to provide any scripture showing that.

Matthew 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Christ gave the keys to the Apostle Peter, so there's your keys. I told you it's in the Holy Bible. I even gave you the scripture, but you continue to ask. I'm sure you don't even know what the keys are.

You have showed no biblical support. The fleshly interpretations that you suppose about Peter is far from full and complete. Christ gave to everyone who He chose the Keys and the Power of the Kingdom of God both here and now and in the physical kingdom to come.

No Selene you said key were an object show us the object "keys" Jesus handed to Peter.

Christ gave the keys only to the Apostle Peter, and I provided biblical scripture to prove it. Where is the scripture showing that Christ gave the keys to everyone? I'm still waiting to be shown scripture that the Spirit of God is a key.
