Would love to know what a “primitive Baptist” is…..
I am also a seasoned veteran (mid 70’s) in Bible discussion……

I would start by asking who is your “Lord”?
What do you classify as “his word”….and also who you consider his “people” to be…..?
Loaded questions….but that is why we are here……to answer questions about our faith, and where and in whom we are to put it without disappointment.

Personally I'm convinced all people of good heart belong to Him whether or not they know it, yet., especially those that believe.

IMO, if you’re secure in your beliefs opposition shouldn’t rattle you.

I think if you feel, rejection by your fellows hurts.
If you've shut down your feelings, as what happens to folk who engage in warfare, compassion is also out of reach....and the fruit of that is PTSD.
