Translation: The Bible doesn't mean what it says!
No, your translation is bad. Thomas said to him, "My lord, and My God..." Greek doesn't entirely [render] as the English, especially when the English is an abuse of English grammar.

Possibly a smear to discredit him or muddy the waters. Hard to say, but as far as I can tell there is nothing Valentinus said or taught in any of his surviving works.
Valentinus was a gnostic and a Cerinthus which Polycarp opposed. He had a vision about a baby that claimed to be a god the word.

Your opinion noted and rejected. How about some Bible?
τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ πατρὸς καὶ τοῦ υἱοῦ καὶ τοῦ ἁγίου πνεύματος

In Greek, a name can be a noun.

Thomas was speaking directly to Jesus. He called Jesus God! Which agrees with many other Scriptures.
Peshitta 28And Thomas answered and said to him, “My Lord, and my God.” 29Yeshua said to him, “Now that you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen me and have believed.”
