I’ve pre-registered for another course offered online and at no cost through Hillsdale College that begins on August 20. The name of the course is Marxism, Socialism and Communism.
Hi, I know you don't post elsewhere so thought I would post this video to you here. I know you are simply taking the above courses for information.

Walz is far left and apparently a Socialist as is Harris. He also spent some time in Communist China and was singing it's praises of low crime and many gifts!

He signed an Executive Order that children can be taken away from their parents if parents won't give them gender affirming care, puberty blockers and sex change surgeries.

Socialist countries like Argentina fell into horrible really high inflation.... people couldn't even buy food or afford anything. Not sure of the situation today.

Here is more on Walz's stances...

I received the following email from Hillsdale College this afternoon:

”Today is an exciting day - we are launching all episodes of our new Marxism documentary course!

We had big plans for the course launch, but our Facebook account was unexpectedly shut down last night. We aren’t sure why our page was taken down, so while we work to have it restored, would you help me spread the word?

I’d be very grateful if you would please forward the new course to a friend and share it on your Facebook page (and X or any other social media service you use).

Here is your link to the course:

Warm Regards,

Jeremiah Regan, Ph.D.
Executive Director of Online Learning
Hillsdale College”

I listened to the first lesson / episode a couple of weeks ago. (A privilege that was granted to all who pre-registered for the course. There are six lessons / episodes in total. (The shortest course I’ve enrolled in at Hillsdale College.) I’ll continue with the course later this week but wanted to share this message with my readers, as requested by Dr. Regan.

Maybe you can give us some main points or insights on the subject matter?

I completed the course on Marxism, Socialism and Communism this evening. Excellent instruction. This subject should be taught in all high schools. Unfortunately, Cultural Marxism is a driving force in U.S. public schools, top to bottom.

Sounds like just another mantra of far right conspiracy theorists to me. The theory is that Communists couldn't beat capitalism via worker revolution, so they have organized a tear down of Western values by fostering multiculturalism, gay rights, unbridled immigration and the like. I'm not seeing how such a Communist conspiracy could ever get off the ground.

Public school teachers in my family, as well as a number of my acquaintances in the profession, tell me that it isn’t a far right conspiracy theory. I often see it in my volunteer work in public school classrooms.

P.S.

Have you considered taking the course? I thought it was very good and recommend it to others.

Hello,

There is a lot of unlearning that needs to be undertaken for the Christian Church as a whole, because of our acceptance of the "traditions" that have invaded the church over the last 2,000 or so years.

Coming up to the Christmas season is one example where the traditions of the season hold precedence over the truth of the actual story. It is time that we study the scriptures a little more "forensically" to fully understand the sequences of this time period.

I have by putting all of the Gospel accounts of the time around Christ's birth into chronological order of when they most likely occurred. My understanding now is very different from the accepted traditions.

One could argue that the Christmas storyline has little impact on our respective salvations, but once we believe or accept a "lie" or two about the Christmas storyline, then we are already on the slippery slope into only believing what we want to believe thereby the journey of turning away from God has begun.

Shalom

Thanks. Corrective education falls within the scope of continuing education.

Some other members posted about how Marxists operate to take over a country. That list sounds just like what has happened and what is happening in the USA. Including that many professors teaching young people are Marxists, Communists, brainwashing their students.

@mailmandan @Scott Downey Maybe one of you posted the list about how Marxists take over? If so, could you please post it?

Here is an interview with a former KGB propagandist who defected many years ago. He lists the steps in how they take over a society. Much of which has already happened here.

This afternoon I enrolled in another free online course offered by Hillsdale College. This one is titled “The History of Classical Music: Pythagoras through Beethoven”.

***

This brings back fond memories of my Music Appreciation class in the 8th grade. I’ve long since forgotten the name of my teacher but I’ve never forgotten the words she wrote on the blackboard on the first day of class, and often repeated: “Everything is better with music.”

I can remember Mrs. Boyle. She walked around to every student, listening by their mouths...if you weren't singing, you got a rap on the fingers with her wooden ruler!

Usually it was the boys who got it!

Two things to keep in mind:

1. Because I’m a Jewish monotheist, some would say (and some have said) that I am a cult member.

2. When the problem first started, the board administrators and moderators didn’t insist that I change my registration from “Christian” to “Other Faith”. I wasn’t forced to change it. I could have remained registered as a Christian and, had I chosen to do so, I would have been allowed to post freely.

When the administrators and moderators made that decision known, members who objected to me being accepted as a “Christian” member became even more vocal. It was only then that I publicly made the proposal to change my registration; an effort to live peacefully with all men. My proposal was discussed publicly and accepted. When it was, some who were outspoken against me left; some who were outspoken against me stayed. I very seldom cross paths with those who stayed. The solution I offered solved the problem.

I don’t having posting privileges in “Christians Only” forums because I voluntarily gave them up.

I read it. Because it is posted in a “Christians Only” forum, I wasn’t able to comment on it. I read prayer requests and act on them without those who make them knowing about it. (We might think of it in terms of someone who isn’t a registered member but reads and prays without any registered member of the board ever knowing about it.) One of the drawbacks about the decision I made on my board registration is that I’m here but unable to offer words of comfort and support in that forum.

I don’t know. You could try it and see what happens. Has her estate been settled?

I would discuss it with them and see what they have to say. You might also want to speak with an attorney about it.
There are people that think that Judaism which the L-rd G-d Almighty Himself established according to the Torah/Old Testament is a cult (you know Abram and Sarai, Moishe, Exodus from Egypt, et al?)
It's older than Christianity.
That hurts my brain

This is a big surprise for me. I wonder how they came to this... I mean, historically, without having gone through all the process of the first 3 centuries.
Technically Messianic Judaism came first.
In the first century CE or AD there was no Christian Church.
Faith in Messiah Yeshua was a sect of Judaism called The Way of the Nazarene or The Way.
Believers were called Followers Of The Way.
Technically it didn't take three centuries for true followers of the Living G-d to know that He is triune and that Jesus is G-d.

If you read Paul's letters carefully you will see many places where he talks about persecuting This Way or Followers Of The Way except that capital letters are not used which makes it confusing for those of us who are accustomed to the names of religious groups and acolytes being capitalized.

And then a certain denomination that I won't mention because I don't want to get into a big thing decided in the 4th century to organize faith in Jesus and use it as a way to control conquered people groups. The leader was a rabid antisemite. We have accurate extant copies of his own writings where he refers to Jewish people as vermin and he states that he's going to eradicate every trace of Jewishness from the faith.
That's when they started officially calling the faith Christianity, passing laws to make it illegal to worship on the Sabbath / 7th Day / Saturday, change the celebration of the Resurrection from the Passover which we were still celebrating to a day that had traditionally belonged to a pagan fertility goddess named Ester and a bunch of other stuff that contradicts the Bible.
Then a few hundred years later when another person again whom I won't mention because I don't want to get into a big thing tried to rectify the situation he didn't because he also was a rabid anti-semite.
So unfortunately Christianity is steeped in lies about its history, origins, anti-semitism and a bunch of stuff that contradicts the Scriptures.

Not to make your brain hurt worse but, add the fact that Jesus, the Apostles and the earliest Christians were Jewish monotheists raised in that “cult“ - Christianity began as a sect of Judaism - and it will.

Education may correct the problem but what I’ve found over the years is that at its core there is sometimes an accompanying spiritual problem.

This sounds fascinating! Some of the other things you mentioned also sound interesting to me. I have had their app on my phone for maybe a year and a half now. I think I might open it and start wandering around. Thank you for the nudge
