Did I hit a nerve!

Your bizarre thinking, as proven by your post....... suggested damnation to any ChristianityBoard forum member here, who does not believe in "mary sightings "
You actually posted this deluded self inflicted madness, and you mean it. @Grailhunter

Check the number of visitations out for yourself...

Listen little one.
My home is in Israel.
I can go to the Mt of Olives, and find an Arab who will tell me that Muhammed flew to heaven on a White Horse.
"""""seen by thousands""""". He or She will tell me or you.

They, like you, are easy to lead and easy to fool.

Listen... , ive no issue with "visions of Mary"..........at all.....but when a so called "christian" on this forum , who pretends to be a "theologian".....tells me.......tells the Mods......tells the Members that if they have no use for this Catholic Cult propagada, they might just be "damned" later on....
And that specfic commentary lets us know that you are somewhat "altered" regarding your ability to reason correctly @Grailhunter .

What will you do next? Will you use your Prayer Thread to pray that we all have visions of Mary?

Help yourself....

I am not saying they are damned if they do not believe in the mission of Miriam…I am warning about calling the mother of Yeshua a demon. I am also saying that Christians should not hate Christians. Particularly Christians that were Christians centuries before there was a single Protestant.

Also there is too much evidence that proves that something is going on. I am not Catholic it is up people to decide what these visitations are

You more then implied it.
And to even suggest it, is kinda crazy.
Did you want to go back now, and edit your post to try to hide your deed?

So, let me give you something to put in your head, along side your visions of Mary.
And Yes, ive read "The Song of Bernadette"..and loved it. Love the Movie, and own it.

Now, If you own a bible, you might have read that Jesus fasted for "40",....... and was very hungry, at the end of this fast.
Then, the DEVIL, = Satan.......... came to Jesus, at the end of the Lord's fast.

What did the Devil do?

What did SATAN DO?

A.) Satan showed Jesus VISIONS.

"VISIONS".

Do you understand this term @Grailhunter The "theologian"?

SATAN showed the LORD JESUS The Christ.......>VISIONS.

So, do you think that this same Satan can't show YOU a vision of Mary?
Do you believe that Satan can't show many Catholics "VISIONS" of Mary, or Visions of Muhammed on a White Horse flying to Heaven?

Think on that before you again suggest possible damnation to anyone else on the Forum.... based on your affiliatiation with "cult of mary" propaganda.

I come onto this forum and I see so much hatred for Catholics. And yet I ask myself, "Where in the bible did it tell us to HATE?"
You'all criticize without anything worthy to back up your claims. You claim to be Christians, yet you don't act like Christians. Jesus never resorted to name-calling about those who didn't believe. Yet y'all don't seem to have problem with doing that.

Jesus spoke from LOVE. There was no such thing as "Christianity" in his day. His message was to love GOD and love each other. Pretty clear to me.

And yet y'all seem to come onto forums like this to judge and condemn those who don't believe as *you* believe.

Yes, I am Catholic. I LIKE many of the Catholic traditions. I don't like everything about the Catholic church says. But can *you* honestly say that you like EVERYTHING about your own denomination? Even if you go to a non-denominational church?

i don't go by whatever the Pope says. Seems that MOST Catholics don't. But yes...we DO hold to some traditions, and yet you all don't get it. You all seem to have it in your minds that Catholics are of some kind of 'hive' mentality. We all think the same way.

Meanwhile, nothing is further from the truth.

But hey....if you all wanna believe that we all 'pray to mary' and 'worship' mary, go ahead. You'd be believing in a non-truth.

But who am *I* to stand in your way?

I can't speak for the heart of any other Forum member, but i can speak for mine.
I dont hate Catholics.
In fact, some of my Favorite Christians, are deceased Catholic Saints.
In my personal library, you will find quite a few Books, authored by (very early) Catholic Saints
I have a THREAD i wrote and posted on this very Forum, that is dedicated to "Saints' and most are of the "Catholic" cult.

I personally believe that the members of this Forum, are not dedicated to hating Catholics....but they are Theologically Informed, and know that so much of Catholic Theology, not only offends the NT, but contradicts it, totally, or tries to reinvent it.
So. we who are against Catholic False Doctrine.........we hate this...........not the Catholic People.

Be sure you understand this, @Mink57 .

But who am *I* to stand in your way?

You came in here swinging the “love” card like it’s a shield against correction — but love without truth is just sentimentality dressed up as virtue.

No one said “hate Catholics.” What we did say is that the Catholic Church teaches doctrines that directly contradict Scripture and the Gospel of Christ — and we back that up with actual verses, not feelings.

Yes, Jesus was loving. But He also called people hypocrites, vipers, whitewashed tombs, and said they were of their father, the devil.
That’s not “hate” — it’s righteous confrontation of religious deception.
You want Jesus meek and mild — but ignore Jesus flipping tables and rebuking false religion.

“There was no such thing as ‘Christianity’ in His day” —
Right. Because it was called following Christ.
And then it was the apostles, filled with the Holy Spirit, who called out false doctrine by name — including other gospels, false apostles, and wolves in sheep’s clothing.
That’s what we’re doing now.

You like Catholic traditions? That’s fine. But tradition doesn’t save you. Jesus didn’t say, “If you hold to your traditions, you are my disciples.” He said:

“If you continue in My word, then you are truly My disciples.” — John 8:31

And His Word never told us to pray to Mary.
Or to call men “Father” in a spiritual sense.
Or to bow before statues.
Or to teach that salvation is through sacraments, indulgences, and the Magisterium.

So no — it’s not about “judging you because you’re Catholic.”
It’s about calling people back to Christ and His Word, instead of defending man-made religion with wounded feelings and vague appeals to “love.”

Truth isn’t unloving.
But defending lies in the name of peace?
That’s spiritual cowardice.

You didn’t address a single point I made.

…your Scofieldized, Zionist-worshiping delusion straight to hell and back.
Your posts are littered with your personal negative emotional accusatory outburst narrative, you attempt to present as Facts, without evidence.

Where IS the evidence I have have ever mentioned following, Idolizing or worshiping
Scofield or Zionism?

Humm?

Ummmmm, where did I make this claim in my post?
I merely stated that anti-Catholics usually ignorant of what the Catholic Church teaches.

Being an anti-Catholic yourself - I understand your confusion . . .
I am well aware of your accusatory pride in calling non-Catholic Individuals, ANTI- AGAINST- all Catholic “individuals”.

You should have discovered, Disagreements Regarding “Religious Doctrines” are Not the Measure for Liking or strongly Disliking an “Individual”.

You should have discovered, while you “point your finger, and wag your tongue” Accusing “anti-Catholic(S)…you reflect on your own self as being ANTI- AGAINST all Protestants, Muslims, Buddhists, etc. “individuals”. BECAUSE they have Not joined your Catholic Organization.

I find no evidence “you” have been “appointed” or “elected” to be the Catholic Churches “Official dictator of Catholic Doctrine”.

I have found “multiple Religious Organizations” “Write, re-Write, re-Vise, their Official Doctrines”…Some Splinter Off…in agreement, in disagreement from the Origin…including your own “Catholic Religious Organization”…and “including individuals claiming to be members of a Catholic Organization”, “but NOT in agreement, nor following its Official or revised Doctrines”.

Curious…
Do “They” get your finger jab as being Anti-Catholic Catholics?
Do “you” get a reward for being “Anti- Protestant” ?

By the end of the FIRST century, the Church was known as "The Catholic Church".
The end of the first century?
What about the Beginning of the first century?

Matt 16: CHRIST JESUS speaking;
[18] And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

"Follow your bishop..."
"Obey your clergy..."
"The sole Eucharist ..."

"The Catholic Church..."

Gee - WHICH Church does that sound like . . .

The Caveat… You individually yourself, VERIFY, “the bishops you follow, the clergy you obey”, Themselves
ARE “following, obeying, preaching” the Word of God.

Does “the catholic church Teach to “VERIFY”
What an Individual “IS” taught by “catholic bishops? by catholic clergy”?

IF yes Exactly WHAT SOURCE, is a catholic individual “taught” to RELY ON, as “Their SOURCE” FOR Verification?

Because “IT APPEARS” … the SOURCE you rely on and routinely promote for VALIDATION, IS OUTSIDE of Scripture, while bashing Scripture AS Being a Valid Source FOR Verification.

Please don't refer to the Catholic religion as a "cult". With over 1.3 billion members, it's hardly some "cult" outlier religion. It obviously doesn't have the greatest history, and even some of the so-called "doctrine" might be questionable. But I think that without further research it would be a mistake to continue to refer to it as a "cult".
I personally believe that the members of this Forum, are not dedicated to hating Catholics....but they are Theologically Informed, and know that so much of Catholic Theology, not only offends the NT, but contradicts it, totally, or tries to reinvent it.

Personally, I don't believe that the members of this forum...are necessarily "Theologically informed" about Catholic Theology. I think that quite a few members are simply falling in step along with others who are also uninformed, without doing their own research on WHY the RCC believes what it believes. Their justification for calling what the RCC believes is that "It's Not In Scripture." But at what time did the bible say that the words contained in the bible are the ONLY Words?

You wrote up post that you have read quite a few books written by some Catholic Saints. Have you read The Life and Revelations of Saint Gertrude?

The Catholic church is not a cult, but borders on one. As such, Catholic churches overseas tend to be the Mary worshipers and tell protestants they have a false theology and have a distaste for the reformation. I have heard Catholics say they are the only true church. (cult) They don't go as far as shun family members, but the attitude that the "good Catholic" is always right in a theological argument against a protestant.

First of all, there appear to be two perspectives about this.

Exploring Possible Interpretive Perspectives

1. Literal Supernatural View:

Some commentators hold that Satan effectively granted Jesus a momentary supernatural “vision” of every kingdom-past, present, and even future. This interpretation sees the devil exercising his limited power to display earthly power structures, cultures, and wealth all at once. Since the event itself is part of a spiritual test, the presentation could transcend normal physical sight.

2. Visionary or Symbolic View:

Another perspective interprets this event as more visionary or symbolic. Satan, as a deceiver, may have shown a representation or symbolic presentation of earthly powers, enticing Jesus with universal dominion without the cross. This viewpoint still affirms the historicity of the temptation but sees the display of kingdoms as a vision-like portrayal, rather than a geographic phenomenon such as a single panoramic view.

Both views recognize a genuine historical conflict: Christ truly confronted Satan’s offer of worldly rule if He would only submit to the devil (Luke 4:6-7). Whether taken as a supernatural literal display of every kingdom or a visionary presentation, the account communicates the same theological truth: the devil was offering a shortcut to power without the suffering of the cross. Jesus, however, upheld His obedience to the Father’s plan.

The bible also has a lot of hyperbole in it. So if it's written that "satan showed (Jesus) all the kingdoms of the world" it doesn't necessarily mean that satan had the power to literally show Jesus "all" the kingdoms of "the world". "All" doesn't always mean all . "The world" doesn't always mean the WHOLE world.

Also, if satan had the power to show Jesus 'visions', then why did satan take Jesus up the mountain? He could have just as easily shown Jesus a vision right where Jesus stood.

In my opinion, satan had no more power to show Jesus a 'vision' than he had to grant Jesus the power to rule over all the kingdoms of the world.

The Catholic church doesn't believe that. Obviously someone can consider themselves to be a "good Catholic" by attending mass every Sunday, not eating meat on Fridays and going to confession once a year...
...and know NOTHING about the religion itself! Most Catholics probably couldn't defend themselves in a theological argument, just as most Protestants probably couldn't defend THEMSELVES, either.

…I am warning about calling the mother of Yeshua a demon.

Post where i stated that the Mother of Yeshua is a "demon"

See, you lied again, @Grailhunter .... as i never posted anything that suggest this.......and never will.

I stated factually.... that you implied that if the Actual Christians on this Forum, do not accept that Catholic "visions of Mary" are true, then that might just determine their "damnation" after they die.
That's what you told us.
So, this that you stated... and i would say its not only a "stupid" point of view, and it is......but its incredibly "bizarre thinking" also ....but its more then that.......its the proof of a carnal mindset regarding a pompous religious pretender, being revealed again on this Forum... who is trying to be some type of final authority, and your "proof text is "vision of Mary".

Pathetic.

Please don't refer to the Catholic religion as a "cult".

Take Mary out of the " Catholic church" and it ends.
So, that's a cult.

That is like the Mormons, and "the book of Mormon" and their angel "Moroni".
Take this away, and their cult ends.

Personally, I don't believe that the members of this forum...are necessarily "Theologically informed" about Catholic Theology.

I am familar with it.

So did you want to talk about the Catholic Doctrine regarding collecting dead body parts ? "Relics"

Or maybe....... "the ascension of mary in her physically dead body'/ ?

How about "mary as co-author of Salvation" or 'Mediatrix". ?

"baptismal regeneration" ?

"transubstantiation" ?

"infant water baptism"?

"penance"?

the "mystical" powers of Priests?

Just let me know what part of this cult's teaching that you want to discuss....that isn't found in the NT, and that is most of it.....and we can have a coversation, or someone will.

WHY the RCC believes what it believes.

The RCC believes what it believes because its belief system, is not based on the NT......its based on the writings of "church fathers", who created a lot of religious science fiction, including the EXTREME veneration of Mary "MOG".

Eh. I don't completely agree, but I see where you're coming from.

That's not "Doctrine"; that's Tradition! No different that keeping a vase of ashes of "Aunt Betty" on the mantle.

"Catholics venerate relics—such as bones, hair, or clothes of saints—as a practice rooted in biblical tradition and Church history. These physical items are seen as connections to holy individuals who lived lives of exemplary faith."

Or maybe....... "the ascension of mary in her physically dead body'/ ?

Would all be kind of hard to discuss without completely derailing this thread. Besides, by the time I finished researching all of those talking points, the Rapture would have probably already taken place. :Laughingoutloud:

No, it's belief system is based on the NT...AND the OT (that is, before any books were removed)...AND the writings of the church father's...AND the writings of Saints...AND...the list goes on.

The veneration of Mary as a tradition has been traced back to the first centuries of the church.

I believe it was in the 1960's (which Vatican council? Again, I'm too lazy right now to look it up, lol!) that recognized that Mary was being a little TOO 'venerated'...and discouraged priests from including her in the Mass. Not all priests adhered to the new 'policy' (especially the Old School ones). One of our older priests once recited the Hail Mary during Mass and my mom almost had a conniption! She stayed silent.
