To love your enemies is not simple at all. (Imo) I get you are saying it’s simple if born again. Yet consider to say it’s so simple diminishes the perfection of God in Matthew 5:43-48 You have heard that it has been said, you shall love your neighbour, and hate your enemy. [44] But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; [45] That you may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he makes his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. [46] For if you love them which love you, what reward have you? do not even the publicans the same? To clarify I’m not saying “the perfection of God” as something we do but only what Jesus did on the crucifixion while we were yet the enemies of God, how He became poor that others could be made rich…was foreign to the world. Never seen before. How simple could it be when He sweated blood and asked the cup to pass from Him? Yet becoming obedient even unto death. Miraculous. Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

So beyond simple that people ask all the time …how much Fruit of the Holy Spirit, how much as Christ is so are we—do we witness today? But all have turned away going after their own things and not the things of God.

I've been giving this a bit more thought.
Every time I look into the books that were left out of the canon, the more I agree with their decisions.
I found a video about the sayings of Jesus in the Gospel of Thomas. Didn't finish it.
The sayings left me flat. Regurgitations of the Gospels we have with a fortune cookie twist.
Neither inspired nor inspiring.
Same with the other writings of the early church. Good for historic references, is all.

It’s not simple until you consider how Christ suffered. Then it becomes simple. Which is why we must keep the Lord Jesus Christ top of mind in all situations.
“For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God. For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:” (1 Peter 2:20-21, KJV)
“That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.” (1 Thessalonians 3:3, KJV)

When I think of Jesus Christ. He didn’t suffer for Himself, to prove His own Glory. But so others could share in being made Glorious by His example. The point is I’ve seen over the years where we pick a fight and call it suffering when being pushed back. For example “see, I’m being persecuted for doing what is right!@ If that makes sense. I have to ask myself regarding a lot of suffering I’ve had. Was it my own doing wrong, and not good?

I agree. I’m not pushing to prove anything about the books left out and agree with you regarding the book of Thomas. I tried a while back to listen to it while going to sleep. I love shutting things off and getting quiet and putting in my ear buds. Something about it makes me hear better. I tried the book of Thomas and felt the same as what you said. I never made it all the way through.
Mostly regarding the video what i did agree with is how men have tried to control the narrative.

here is my question. In Numbers 5 the woman suspected of adultery, in having gone aside after another besides her husband is judged under “the Law of Jealousies” where either she drinks of the bitter water and conceives sin unto death(GUILTY)…or being found clean, she is made free(Whom the Son makes Free is Free INDEED), she conceives and brings forth fruit of obedience unto righteousness(No more called an Adulterous).
It’s her husband that brings her before the priest to be judged, her “husband” being jealous.<keep in mind all of this in Numbers 5 God says go tell the sons of Israel what happens to the woman suspected of Adultery. Which they took as “what should we do to our wives then? Can we divorce them?” <they missed the point spoken to the sons of Israel whom the Adulterous woman is. In the bondage of sin unto death.
In Romans 7 again, to those “who know the law” tell “you have been made free” if your husband be dead, you have been made free by the body of Christ to marry another. Here is my question that is so confusing…people wait for Jesus to return as the Jealous husband clearly taking the Book of Revelation as the curses where men are stoned by hurling stones falling upon them, and more comes upon those who are under the law of Jealousies whose husband is not dead…when have you not heard the law Jealousies?
What happens to those under the law of jealousies? My question is how is Jesus Christ both? The same one who stood with the woman caught in adultery and told the least to the greatest …those among you without sin (not guilty under the law of jealousies, knowing the terror of the Lord) be the first to cast stones! This same Jesus Christ(same to today and yesterday and forever more) then returns as the ministration of sin unto death to bring upon stones, cast at the woman caught in adultery?
How can we serve the ministration of sin unto death AND the ministration of obedience unto righteousness? How can the woman in Numbers 5 be found guilty of Adultery yet also be made clean, free, and bring forth “obedience unto righteousness” I keep trying to point to that woman who is pronounced clean, pronounced Free and conceives seed IS the Woman here:

Adam and Eve knew God before there was any bible. God spoke directly to Cain before the scriptures ever existed.
Yes He does. And more importantly He enables us to love God and our neighbours. He is truly amazing how the Resident Spirit releases His character within us and it finds it way out of us.
I remember back to when the bible was my only source of revelation. I used this well to find truth, in which I found it.
But a number of years ago the Spirit revealed that I had become too fixated and dependant on this source, the bible.
Just now the Spirit has made it clearer, that just as in the past holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit, so are the holy members of the church. We are carried along by the same Spirit today. This is great news.
We don't need second hand information, truth or words from God, we can get it first hand, directly from the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit always works in conjuction with the word of God.
This is why God provided BOTH.........
And when you speak about "Holy men of God, being moved by the Holy Spirit"...... you found out about this in BIBLE or youo would not even know anything about it.

The Bible is the word of God.
"God exalts His word......above His Name".
"The word of God shall endure forever".. = The Bible.
So, @One 2 question ... long after you are gone, the BIBLE will still contain God's words, God's Truth, and God's Spiritual Light, and will still be teaching real students of the Spirit, God's Holy Truth.
What do YOU mean by the word of God? If you mean, what was written down, than no way. That is far from the truth my friend.
I use that reference, biblical language, because that would be better understood by most in this forum.

When Jesus was on the Earth, He would go into Jewish synagogs, and open the word of God., and read from it.
This is the Old Testament.
Jesus said..."""""Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me."""""
The "scriptures" that Jesus is talking about is the OLD TESTAMENT "The Torah"..
IN the NT, we find the word of God, the Gospel that shows a sinner the only Way to Heaven... John 14:6... and warns a sinner of eternal damnation.......John 3:36.
We see in the word of God, that is also the New Testament...... the Cross of Christ and the words of Jesus, and all of this is given by the Holy Spirit, as The NT, that is presereved by God, forever.
God is looking for people who will "study (the bible) to show themselves approved unto God".... Paul teaches Christians.
You, @One 2 question ........have no use for any of this, so, enjoy your opinions, as they are your religion.
The bibles contains a very small percentage of God's words.
God's words if all written down would fill this planet and more.
What the bibles contain of the progressive word of God may be like a drop in the ocean.
For sure. All of God's word, every word that proceeds from the mouth of God will exist forever, wherever it is.
Of course, God's expressed thoughts don't turn into God's Word only once they are written down.
Even everything Jesus taught was not written down. But you would say that they are God's Word regardless of if they were written down or not.
