"Christianity", is the body of Christ.........its every single Christian.. Its the "CHURCH".. itself.

A.) When you are born again........its because you have BELIEVED in Jesus, and our "Faith is counted by God, as (Christ's) Righteousness".. .. and that is imputed to the BELIEVER, as "the gift of Righteousness"..

So, If you are not born again, because you dont believe that its necessary... as Universalism teaches, or JW's deny... then this means that God has not given you "the Gift of Righteousness" that is based on being Forgiven all your sin.........which is what Christ died on the Cross to do for you......and that means you are not forgiven, you are not born again, and you will "die in your sins"..

The only proof that a person has become a Christian, is that they are "BORN AGAIN"> = Spiritually.

When Jesus says......."you must be born again"..........its because if you are not when you die, then God has not become your heavenly Father, and you are "in your sins"... unforgiven......and this can't be resolved after you die.

I don't know exactly how it works during the period after I die, but before I'm resurrected. The Bible hints that there's consciousness in some places, and in others seems to indicate the opposite.

Either way, I reckon that once I'm resurrected, I'll be here on earth, and the Lord will be too. So, uh... neither heaven nor hell?

That's an interesting view. I've never associated it with baptism.

Being raised evangelical, I understand "born again" as being transformed spiritually due to belief in Jesus Christ.
A spiritual rebirth due to an encounter with God.

Not wrong. Water baptism is supposed to happen at the same time as the transformation you're talking about or directly afterwards... but the church nowadays just baptizes anyone willy-nilly. They're desperate for members and relevance.

The phrase comes from John 3, where it confuses a Pharisee, and Jesus actually elaborates on it to explain the meaning:

[Nicodemus] came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, "Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him."

Jesus answered and said unto him, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

Nicodemus saith unto him, "How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?"

Jesus answered, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."

Born again = Born of water and the Spirit. That's a regeneration and a baptism.

So, the reason we are born again......is because until we are, God is not our Heavently Father.

See, becoming a Christian, is to become a Born again... "Son-Daughter" of God....... and you become one by being : "born again" spiritually = by the Holy Spirit of God, as a "new creation, in Christ"... = "one with God".

Until this happens.......your sin has not been forgiven, and spiritual union with God has not occured.

Let me back up for the Readers, who are actually paying attention and want to know more about this phrase....."born again".

So, Jesus told us that we "must be born again"......not should be or might be or if you feel like it.....but YOU = "MUST be born again".
And As He's the Messiah, the Redeemer, and has "all power in Heaven and on earth" then its a good idea not to "blow him off" because you have your own "opinions" and your commentaries and your online sites and your yourtube videos that know nothing about this, at all.

Now lets look as God's Salvation.

Why did Jesus come down here......as God wrapped in Human flesh....born of a Virgin, to die on The Cross for YOU and for ME?

Its because our SIN is separating us from HOLY God, and until our SIN is forgiven, we can't become a "Son-Daughter" of God.

Now, backing up to Genesis......we see where sin entered the world as the fall of us all.
We have 1st Adam, who rebelled and sinned and this allowed sin to come into the world......passed to us all.

= "By one man's sin, sin entered the world".

So, what is the most signifcant part of Adam's sin, and ours?
Its the eternal situation that exist as.....a loss of Spiritual Union with the Creator....God.
And until this sin issue is resolved for us, by THe Cross of Christ...... no spiritual union with God can be gained, and that means that God isn't our Heavenly Father., and that means we're not going to Heaven after we die.

Now.....Enter, Jesus the 2nd Adam.
God's only Begotten
Virgin Born.
He lived a Holy sinless Life.
He kept the Law and Commandments, perfectly
He dies as a willing Sacrice as our SIN BEARER.. because "God hath made JESUS to be SIN...for us".

So, when we go to Jesus, by Faith, and receive Him as our Savior....then God takes what Jesus has completed on The Cross, and this is His Shed Blood and Death SACRIFICE.... and applies it, "imputes it"... to the BELIEVER........and we are thereby forgiven our Sin because Jesus has died for it all.

"ALL who BELIEVE IN JESUS>.....shall be saved".

This means that the sin that was separating us from God,,, is gone. Christ has taken it upon Himself and died for it in our place....and Now being forgiven......God will give us His Eternal Salvaiton, and that is.

"the Gift of Salvation"
"The Gift of Righteousness"
"The Gift of Etenal Life"

An all this happens as God's Holy Spirit births our spirit into God Himself.............and that is to become "BORN Again".

If this has not happened to you reader, you are not going to Heaven after you die.

Can we honestly say that a delayed baptism = NOT born again?

Born again = Born of water and the Spirit. That's a regeneration and a baptism.
