Hi there,

So I will just be blunt, I know someone who had a great idea and tried to share it with other believers, and the other believers didn't understand. Maybe the idea wasn't that great? Or maybe the Devil deceived the other believers? In any case, what this believer felt was rejection.

Now, you may not realise this, but rejection is a very real thing. You cannot experience rejection, and just go on about your business as if nothing has happened. Specifically, you cannot hope to rejoice at reaching Heaven, if you are in a rejected state.

A rejected state has the effect of cancelling joy that you might have had, about returning to Heaven. You must be very careful about how you treat your brothers and sisters, because if they die that way - without joy - God will require it of you (as it says in Revelation 2? - "I will make them that dishonoured you, to worship you" paraphrase).

If you have been burned, remember that Jesus' promise will always be there - you will not have to go without joy forever!
