Heres another way you can think about it too.
In Heb 3:5 it tells us that Moses was for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after
Jesus confirms the same saying
John 5:46-47 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?
God said by Moses
Deut 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
Jesus confirms the same
John 12:49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
Next verse in Deut continues,
Duet 18:19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
And again, Jesus is confirming the same
John 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
He calls his word "my words" but they are not his words
As Jesus said, "I have not spoken of myself" (John 12:49) therefore the words Jesus had spoken were the words given to him and Jesus in turns gives these to them.
John 17:8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
John speaks of the doctrine of Christ
2 John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
Because Jesus said that his doctrine (the doctrine that he preached) was not his own
John 7:16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.
John 7:17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
And again,
John 12:49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
The doctrine of Christ is the doctrine of God because Jesus tells us that his doctrine was not his, but that he was given the words, and that he spake by commandment which also confirm the words God spake unto Moses.
Again,
Deut 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee,
and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
Whether it be called the gospel of Christ, Jesus was anointed before he preached the gospel (Luke 4:18) its called the gospel of God by both Paul and Peter, and the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and he speaks of My gospel also, which isn't really odd if you think about it.
Just say you have a gospel, and you are making clear what the gospel you preach is all about, you might say, the gospel that I preach is "such and such" or you might say to someone else, in contrast to another gospel this is my gospel (which, as with Christ, and his doctrine was not his doctrine, but could be called his).
