His mentioning of a castle caused me to think about Allington Castle (the ancestral family castle on the maternal side of my family) near Maidstone in England. I’d love to see it in person some day. (The family lost it in the rebellion against Queen Mary in 1554.)
That's really interesting about your family tree on your mother's side. Did you do research or was it told through the generations?

Hey, with that foil on the neck of the bottle, how was I to know that there was a screw cap instead of a cork underneath it?
