John’s baptism was for the remission of sins the Jewish people had brought upon themselves showing they were turning back to God.

While Jesus wasn’t a sinner he showed up to John to be baptized; he was the one whom would bring forth the baptism of Holy Spirit and fire.

Fire which produces an internal heart change in the same manner as those who went under the water.

Either way, while sins are paid for every one in the world is responsible for themselves.

Truth be told our flesh doesn’t do anything good no matter how much you think you can make it be good.

Fleshly perfect people is a facade.

The truth is the God is looking at the heart and will assess it at the end of life. There is no way to trick God, and God is not a respecter of persons, for the unbeliever or believer.

Jesus has paid the ransom for everyone, yes......but not everyone will accept it. The bible says only a remnant will be saved. Salvation is by faith. People can be forgiven but refuse to accept the forgiveness and thus remain unreconciled to God.
2 Cor 5.19
that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
All sins were imputed to Christ, who paid for the sins, all of them.
All the sins of all time have been paid for, there is nobody (believers) who answers for sins at the judgment seat of Christ. there is nobody (unbelievers) who answers for sins at the Great White Throne.
THIS is the good news we give to unbelievers.
There is no contingency for one's sins being paid for. (see also 2 Pt 2:1) Here, the false teachers and false prophets have been bought. (That is redemption)

Are you suggesting all people are saved?

Hello Hidden things,

Everyone has been saved from their sins. Yes. This is because of Jesus's shed blood on the cross.

Not everyone has been saved to the Kingdom of God, there is an outside portion where faithless people are at according to Revelation.

This is because of the choice to believe in God, and to trust in his son Yeshua, one is saved unto the Kingdom of God.

Correct, I agree with this though reading KUWN it sounded as though they believe everyone is saved.

Just a thought, though, people still retain their free will, and as such, they will sin unintentionally sometimes, while at other times they will simply just chose to sin.

Jesus did not remove all sin from the world, but His actions on the Cross will cover the repent humble sinner when they repent of their sins.

And one day soon all sheep will live forever with Him
the new heavens and new earth wherein dwells only righteousness
. JESUS has done finished the works
We do not yet see all things put under Him and as you said sin sure is all over this world .
But the sheep have tasted of the world to come .
We through him , faith in Him , overcomes the world .
Essential is the continual preaching of JESUS and all things HE said .

Purchased is found in 2 verses and always to do with His church, no unbelievers were purchased by Christ.

Acts 10
25 “And indeed, now I know that you all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, will see my face no more. 26 Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent[e] of the blood of all men. 27 For I have not [f]shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God. 28 Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church [g]of God which He purchased with His own blood. 29 For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. 30 Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking [h]perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves. 31 Therefore watch, and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears.

Ephesians 1
7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace 8 which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and [b]prudence, 9 having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, 10 that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, [c]both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him. 11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, 12 that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.

13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

14 who[d] is the [e]guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the
purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Christ's work, His blood only purchased the church of God
There is no mention of any unbelieving being purchased.
1 Cor 6
15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! 16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.” 17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
18 Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.
19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body [g]and in your spirit, which are God’s.
1 Corinthians 7:22-24
New King James Version
22 For he who is called in the Lord while a slave is the Lord’s freedman. Likewise he who is called while free is Christ’s slave. 23 You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of men. 24 Brethren, let each one remain with God in that state in which he was called.
The Apostles taught so.
He did no personal sin correct - so how did Jesus die to sin once?
And what if you discovered it was all true? That Jesus was actually made perfect and became the source of your salvation as the Bible teaches?
From Son of Man to the Son of God with Power!
Everything the Bible taught about the Christ was true and it was apostate Christianity was change him into a lie?
Haven't been following the whole conversation, but Jesus "had no sin" and "knew no sin".....so the sins He died to were not His, but the sins of mankind that had been laid upon Him. And He was made perfect too in that His body was redeemed through death, as ours will be also in the end. In this way He was the tip of the spear making the way for us and being our forerunner that we might follow in His footsteps all the way to eternal life (redemption of the body).
Lizbeth this is correct.
Yet...he died once to sin and it's this understanding which Christians today do not understand.
And He was made perfect too in that His body was redeemed through death, as ours will be also in the end.
Yes, what was imperfect about the Lord which even he taught about himself?
In this way He was the tip of the spear making the way for us and being our forerunner that we might follow in His footsteps all the way to eternal life (redemption of the body).
No, redemption of his very life, all of him!
These guys though get wiped out by the Lord, in an utter destruction, because of their sins against God who bought them.
They die in their sins, are unforgiven their sins, their sins remain and they are judged by the things they did in the flesh.
People die because of sins.
  1. Romans 7:9
    I was alive once without the law, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died.
    In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations
  2. 1 Corinthians 15:3
    For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
    In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations
  3. 1 Peter 2:24
    who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.
NUMBER 2, Christ died for our sins, but the unbelieving world has not died to sins, they continue on in sin and do not live for righteousness, and are not healed. Just like the false teachers today in the church, their latter end is worse for them than the beginning.
Every false doctrine they teach is further reinforcement of their coming judgment.
2 Peter 2
New King James Version
Destructive Doctrines
1 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction [a]does not slumber.
Doom of False Teachers
4 For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to [b]hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; 5 and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; 6 and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly; 7 and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked 8 (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds)— 9 then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment, 10 and especially those who walk according to the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority. They are presumptuous, self-willed. They are not afraid to speak evil of [c]dignitaries, 11 whereas angels, who are greater in power and might, do not bring a reviling accusation against them before the Lord.
Depravity of False Teachers
12 But these, like natural brute beasts made to be caught and destroyed, speak evil of the things they do not understand, and will utterly perish in their own corruption, 13 and will receive the wages of unrighteousness, as those who count it pleasure to [d]carouse in the daytime. They are spots and blemishes, [e]carousing in their own deceptions while they feast with you, 14 having eyes full of [f]adultery and that cannot cease from sin, enticing unstable souls. They have a heart trained in covetous practices, and are accursed children. 15 They have forsaken the right way and gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; 16 but he was rebuked for his iniquity: a dumb donkey speaking with a man’s voice restrained the madness of the prophet.
17 These are wells without water, [g]clouds carried by a tempest, for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness [h]forever.
Deceptions of False Teachers
18 For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who [i]have actually escaped from those who live in error. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of [j]corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into [k]bondage. 20 For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. 21 For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. 22 But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: “A dog returns to his own vomit,” and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.”
Absolutely not! Having one's sins paid for, has no bearing on salvation. we are not eternally condemned because of sins. The consequences of sin are always temporary. This teaching is Bible 101. You could have answered your own question had you read the verses I quoted in my last post. How could the unbeliever be saved just because Christ paid for his sins. remember what 2 Cor 5 said, sins were imputed to Christ, not the person who commits them.
Go to Genesis, and look at the consequences of the sins of Adam and Eve. The consequences of sin are temporary. Christ did not potentially pay for sin. Sins are no longer an issue between people and God and nobody will be judged for sins. The issue is whether or not someone accepts Christ for salvation. Finally, in the Old testament, the temporal consequences of sins varied. There were minor and major sins, each having a different level of consequences. No matter how you see it, the consequences of sins had varying levels of consequences. None eternal. Rejecting God's offer of salvation is the only consequence that is eternal.
It is a sin to reject Christ.
Acts 17
30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, 31 because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.”
32 And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked, while others said, “We will hear you again on this matter.” 33 So Paul departed from among them. 34 However, some men joined him and believed, among them Dionysius the Areopagite, a woman named Damaris, and others with them.
Which means Scott its a sin not to be Baptised in the Lords saving name also.
Where there is faith in a man in Christ, their sins God does not impute to them.
The unbelieving world has no faith in Christ, so their sins are imputed to them, against them.
And all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God
Romans 3
21 But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all [f]and on all who believe. For there is no difference; 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified [g]freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth as a [h]propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
Romans 4
New King James Version
Abraham Justified by Faith
1 What then shall we say that Abraham our father[a] has found according to the flesh? 2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. 3 For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was [b]accounted to him for righteousness.” 4 Now to him who works, the wages are not counted [c]as grace but as debt.
David Celebrates the Same Truth
5 But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, 6 just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works:
7 “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven,
And whose sins are covered;
8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin.”
Abraham Justified Before Circumcision
9 Does this blessedness then come upon the circumcised only, or upon the uncircumcised also? For we say that faith was accounted to Abraham for righteousness. 10 How then was it accounted? While he was circumcised, or uncircumcised? Not while circumcised, but while uncircumcised. 11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while still uncircumcised, that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they are uncircumcised, that righteousness might be imputed to them also, 12 and the father of circumcision to those who not only are of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of the faith which our father Abraham had while still uncircumcised.
The Promise Granted Through Faith
13 For the promise that he would be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. 14 For if those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise made of no effect, 15 because the law brings about wrath; for where there is no law there is no transgression.
16 Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be [d]sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all
17 (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;
18 who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.”
19 And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. 20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. 22 And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.”
23 Now it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him, 24 but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, 25 who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.
