[Matthew 13:24 KJV] 24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:

This parable is about the kingdom of heaven, which upholds my assertion that the parables were dealing with aspects of the coming kingdom on earth. The coming kingdom was the prophetic Davidic kingdom on earth, in which, believing Israel will reign on earth with Christ for a thousand years.

[Matthew 13:25 KJV] 25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

The tares are sowed by the wicked one, Satan.

[Matthew 13:26 KJV] 26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.

The wicked tares grew together with the wheat.

[Matthew 13:27-29 KJV] 27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? 28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.

The wheat and the tares were allowed to grow together to preserve the wheat.

[Matthew 13:30 KJV] 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

At the coming of the Lord, the tares will be gathered and be burned; the wicked will be cast into hell.
The wheat will be gathered into the barn; believing Israel will enter the kingdom on earth.

When Christ returns he will gather all that offend out of his kingdom (Matthew 13:41).

Below is a quote from a Bible commentary:
(4) Christ shows in another parable of the evil seed mixed with the good, that the Church will never be free and rid of offences, both in doctrine and manners, until the day appointed for the restoring of all things comes, and therefore the faithful have to arm themselves with patience and steadfastness.

Many make the parables about the church today rather than what scripture says it is; scripture says the parables are about the kingdom of heaven on earth given to the believing remnant of Israel.

Dear Doug,
Your understanding of the parable is carnal (outward) and not spiritual. Here is how the Kingdom of Heaven comes to the earth (mankind):

Luke 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, the Kingdom of God cometh not with observation: 21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

The Kingdom of Heaven comes "within" a person when they are spiritually converted. Conversion requires the Early and Latter Rains of the Spirit, followed by judgment (the Day of the Lord).

Christ's teachings on the coming of the Kingdom of Heaven are not outward and visible world events as you believe. The removal of the tares (things that offend) are all the spiritual impurities within a person that causes them to be carnally minded and sinful. Once those spiritual things are removed & burned, the person will be gathered into the Kingdom of Heaven (the barn).

Mat 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Here is my summarized understanding of the Parable of the Wheat and the Tares:

Mankind is the field in the world. When Christ comes to a person the first time, He will plant His seed within them. The “seed” represents a new child of God (wheat) who is being formed in the womb of the individual. The seed is planted when Christ gives the person a small measure of the Holy Spirit. This small amount of the Holy Spirit is called the Early Rain of the Spirit.

For example, Christ planted His seed within Paul as Paul was travelling the Damascus Road (Acts 9:3-9). Christ planted His seed within Peter shortly before Peter recognized that Jesus was the Christ (Mat 16:16-17).

Only after Christ gives a person the small amount of the Spirit will they have a “measure of faith” (Rom 12:3) and the ability to understand and receive the physical teachings of Christ that He performed under the Old Covenant (Christ and Him crucified, 1Cor 2:2).

When Christ plants His seed within a person, they will make a confession of faith and will be “called to be a saint” (1Cor 1:2). However, the small measure of the Holy Spirit will leave the new believer (babe) carnally minded, spiritually blind and unconverted. As a result, they will not be able to understand & receive the spiritual teachings of the New Covenant (Mark 8:21-25).

At this time, the new child of God within the womb of the person is not ready to be born. This is the same as saying that the seed within the person has not yet grown into wheat and made ready for the harvest.

Soon after a person receives Christ’s seed within them, Satan will come to the same person and plant his seed within them, too. This is the apostasy that Paul warned would be coming after His death. Satan’s seed is the “man of sin” (tares). Satan will plant his seed within the person at “night” (represents the person’s spiritual blindness) by giving them the spirit of anti-Christ. This event will result in the Abomination of Desolation within the new believer (God’s Temple).

Because both the child of God (Wheat) and the man of sin (Tares) are growing within the believer, a spiritual war will commence within the person. Since the child of God was formed by only a small measure of the Holy Spirit which left them carnally minded and spiritually blind, the believer will quickly fall for the deceptions of Satan via the spirit of Christ. This will result in the believer accepting Satan’s “another gospel” (2Cor 11:4) which mixes works with faith. This false gospel will cause the believer to fall away and become apostate.

Note: Mixing works with faith is the sin that leads to death (1John 5:16).

After the believer has fallen away from faith, they cannot be renewed to repentance (Heb 6:4-6). Their only hope for salvation is for Christ to come to them a second time. When Christ comes, He will pour out the Latter Rain of the Spirit (baptism of the Holy Spirit). Since the Latter Rain of the Spirit comes with strength (Job 37:6), the seed will grow into wheat and be ready for harvesting.

This is the same event that the Apostles experienced on the Day of Pentecost and it is the same event that Paul experienced after being blind and unable to eat or drink for three days in Damascus.

After Christ gives an Elect believer the Latter Rain of the Spirit, the believer’s spiritual blindness will be immediately healed. Now, for the first time, the Elect believer will be able to understand the truth of Christ’s spiritual teachings of the New Covenant. From the new knowledge that they received at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, the man of sin will be revealed to them and then quickly judged. This judgment is called the Day of the Lord/Thousand Years Reign. From this judgment, the man of sin (tares) within the person will be gathered and burned (destroyed) by the brightness of Christ's appearance (2Thes 2:8).

The verses below apply to this judgment event:

Mat 24:40 “Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. 41 “Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left.

The spirit word “two men” represents one Elect believer who has both the wheat (child of God) and the tares (man of sin) within them. The tares/man of sin is the one who is taken.

The spirit word “two women” represents the same Elect believer who has both a new spirit and their original marred spirit/Great Harlot within them. The marred spirit/Great Harlot is the one who is taken.

After the man of sin & Great Harlot (tares) have been “taken” (gathered from within the believer), they will be cast into the Lake of Fire for destruction (tares burned):

Rev 19:20 Then the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brim-stone.

This judgment will complete the conversion process for the Elect believer. This is when the wheat is gathered into the barn (Kingdom of Heaven).

All the parables that begin with this phrase "the Kingdom of Heaven is like" are teaching on the various steps of the pathway to salvation that each of Christ's Elect will take as they travel to their moment of conversion and when they enter the Kingdom of Heaven. The concept of "here a little and there a little" (Isa 28:9-12) applies to how Christ teaches the pathway to salvation.

Below is an example:

This short parable teaches what happens shortly after Satan plants his tares within a new believer (a babe):

Mat 13:33 Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

The "woman" is the Great Harlot who represents a person's marred and carnal spirit. She is the one who is deceived (typed by Eve) and is the one who is shown to be removed and destroyed in Mat 24:41. Her destruction was also typed by Lot's wife when she turned into a pillar of salt. The symbol "three measures of meal" represents the spiritual process that a new believer goes through when they change the truth of Christ (bread) into the lies of Satan (leavened bread). The end product of this spiritual process makes the new believer "worse than the first" (a man of sin/tares).

Doug,
The word "heaven" is a spirit word which represents the spiritual world. The spiritual world is "within" a person. When Christ is revealed to a person after their spiritual blindness is healed, it means that they can now understand Christ (see Him) through scripture by the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Mankind will NEVER see Christ again with physical eyes like He was seen when He went to the cross.

Acts 3:20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: 21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

The phrase "heaven must receive" represents where Christ dwells now. When a believer is converted, the veil that hides the knowledge of Christ is removed. Christ's spiritual appearance is what it means for Christ to be revealed from heaven. Christ will continue revealing Himself spiritually to mankind in this way until the last of mankind is converted in the final age (the "restitution of all things").

This scripture applies:

2Thes 1:7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, 8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

The verse above is teaching about a believer's moment of conversion. It is a 100% spiritual event that happens within a person.

Christ is revealed from heaven when a person receives the Latter Rain and has their spiritual blindness healed. With their blindness healed, Christ will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels. This event is like lightning shining across the heavens from east to west because the whole mind of the person will fully see (understand) Christ.

When Christ is revealed to a person, the mystery of God will be finished for that particular person:

Rev 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

After Christ is revealed from heaven, the person's judgment will begin to complete their conversion. Those who are judged and cast into the Lake of Fire are the "tares". The tares (man of sin & Great Harlot) are the ones who do not know God and who do not obey the gospel. After the tares are burned, the believer will have a new divine spiritual nature that comes from their spirit being governed by the Holy Spirit. This is the same spiritual makeup that Christ has and is the salvation that Christ came to give mankind. It is in this way that Christ defeats death (the result of sin).

Sorry, but this is also about the church! Jesus warned in the Olivet Discourse that many false Christs would arise, and Paul warned of wolves in sheeps clothing, and that Satan and the demons would be angels of lights and their false ministers would appear as false ministers. That is about the church.

I am pretty sure that this parable can be traced all the way back to Genesis 3:15.

"Your seed/Her seed".... There have always been 2 seeds, in the world Abel/Cain, Israel/philistines, and even in the Church.

Obviously those in the church can NOT all be ecclesia, for there would be no one for God to say this to, if they were: "Depart from me for I never knew you" (even though you thought you knew me)

There is only one church which is comprised of saved Jews and Gentiles as Paul declared in Eph. 2:
11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

rOMANS 9:

21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:

23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

1 Corinthians 12:13
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

You need to abandon this teaching and the teacher who has told you that there are two churches. There is only one, it began at Pentecost and continues to this day, made up of Jew and Gentile.

Reconciled in Christ

19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell,

Why do you make such assertions based on your own speculation?

The parables are part of what was preached among Israel, yes. But not only to Israel, as it is written "first to the Jew, and also to the Greek (Gentiles)."

The only thing that matters is being reconciled to God.
God will take care of everything else.

2 Corinthians 5:19-21

New King James Version

19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not [a]imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.

21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

In other words, this

Glory Only in the Cross

11 See with what large letters I have written to you with my own hand! 12 As many as desire to make a good showing in the flesh, these would compel you to be circumcised, only that they may not suffer persecution for the cross of Christ. 13 For not even those who are circumcised keep the law, but they desire to have you circumcised that they may boast in your flesh. 14 But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by [b]whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. 15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation.

Blessing and a Plea

16 And as many as walk according to this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God.

17 From now on let no one trouble me, for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.

18 Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

Amen.
one thing for sure and for certain is
that many within christendom have no idea at all what paul means by the phrase
BY whom the WORLD is crucified unto me , and I unto the world . SEEING THEY STILL LOVE their sins and live
in them . Many have no idea at all what has been lost in christendom let alone they are lost .
But they sure can and often do holler love a whole lot . But have no idea
their love is of the world , NOT GOD .

THE PARABLE OF THE WHEAT AND TARES IS NOT ABOUT US

Rejecting the Words of Jesus is what people with devils do.

Obviously those in the church can NOT all be ecclesia

The tares are not in the Body of Christ as in they are not in the Church at all.

They just claim to be by talking Christian jargon, going to church, and posting on Christian discussion forums
