Jesus was teaching about the kingdom of heaven, which is the prophetic kingdom on earth, in which, believing Israel will reign with Christ for a thousand years.

Leaven is portrayed as representing false doctrine (Matthew 16:6) and wickedness(1 Corinthians 5:8).

The leaven of wickedness will prevail until Christ returns to establish the kingdom on earth. The wicked will prevail alongside the believers until the kingdom is brought in, and then will the wicked be separated from the righteous (Matthew 13:41).

Just look at Christendom today and see that the leaven of false doctrine (which Jesus said is what leaven is) has permeated so many churches that used to be alive and well and filled with the zeal of the Lord. Now, the true believers in those once powerful churches are miniscule. False doctrine is the leaven that corrupts believers.

The kingdom of God is God's total dominion over heaven and earth. However there is a earthly kingdom and heavenly kingdom

The earthly kingdom will last for 1000 years. then comes the great white throne judgment for the lost, then the new heaven and earth and the kingdom of heaven will be on earth so they will be one.

If the kingdom of god is gods total dominion over all, then according to the parables and your definition then god is a total failure.

1. the mustard seed. The kingdom grows enormously, but the dirty birds (demons) reside in its branches. That is not dominion.
2. Leaven- is alway ssymbolic of sin- it leavens the dough- that is not dominion.
3. Sower and the seed- many words of th ekingdom fall on bad ground- that is not dominion.
4. The wheat and the tares- tares grow in the kingdom- that is not dromion
5. Parable of the net- good and bad fish are caught- that is not dominion.

Whe Jesus establishes the kingdom of God/heaven on earth, He rules with a rod of iron. Evil will not be allowed to grow, nor will they be allowed to "Swim" like the fish for periods of time.

Gode does own all, but He has allowed satan temporary rulership over the earth and the atmosphere, until Jesus returns.
