Truly
This doesnt really pertain to the parable..
You cant be emptied of the Spirit as portrayed by running out of oil........the point of the parable was for Israel to be prepared for his coming
If this is your view, that the oil is the Spirit you can hold onto it
If Jesus supply was diminished by the woman with the issue of blood, then all your challenges are moot.
It was Jesus himself that told the church " go and buy " ,something, in the 7 letters of rev.
Now what were Christians missing that they needed to get back?
Could it be the same thing Paul invoked over Timothy?
".... remember the deposit placed in you by eunice...."
That deposit was the Holy Spirit.
You honestly are not aware of the Holy Spirit operating in the believer....and that we can walk carnally or in the Spirit?
I was saved during that charismatic revival and received the baptism in the Holy Spirit a few months later.
I still remember it like yesterday.
When He came upon me, tongues poured out of me.
Nothing of this world is comparable.
That dynamic is what is being talked about in the Bible.
When John said "I was in the spirit on the Lord's day." Anyone that's had the baptism of the Holy Spirit knows exactly what John is talking about.
When Paul says "my spirit prays but my mind mind is unfruitful," we know exactly what Paul is talking about.
When Paul says"when I speak in tongues, I edify Myself", We know exactly what he is talking about.
the word of God authenticates the experience
Experience come before doctrine.
Nobody is taught salvation.
Salvation is meeting Jesus in total surrender.
Nobody is taught the baptism in the Holy Spirit, it is saught after and recieved.
Tons of scripture make no sense to the mental believer.
To those with the baptism in the Holy Ghost, the bible is alive.
Paul was a Holy Ghost baptised man, writing to Holy Spirit baptised believers.
Dive in and enjoy.
