WRONG.Well, actually, Jesus is explicit, so "do not add or remove" (Deut 4:2) : He said many would come to Him, and say "Lord, Lord", and try to claim rightness with Him due to supernatural acts they had done, but He will say "No, you do not practice righteousness."
God was telling Israel not to add or remove from His commands:
Deut. 4:2
Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you.
He also said to obey His CHURCH (Matt. 18:18) but you refuse to do that.
Show me the verse where He said to obeu ONLY to what was written.
And what does it mean to "bellieve" in Christ? So, how can we do God's will for His glory? Obey His commands--that is righteousness.
What is God's command? "Believe in the Name of His Son and love one another." (1 Jn 3:23,24).
So, if we believe in the Name of His son and love one another, we abide in Christ, and we bear fruit, and this glorifies God (Jn 15; Mt 5), and Jesus will not say "Depart evildoers".
James 2:19 warns us that even the DEMONS do that much. To believe i christ is to surrender to Him and OBEY.
