"Salvation has nothing to do with how we behave after we are saved by God."

Jesus taught the opposite.

Jesus didnt teach that your behavior is your Salvation.......as if your Behavior was your Salvation, then Jesus didnt need to die on The Cross for YOU.

So, dont let the heretics lead you to beleive that your behavior is your Salvation, as only a fool is trying to work their way into Heaven.

I understand what you are saying. Our behavior doesn't save us.... Jesus saves us.
However, because we are saved, our behavior will be different.

Yes.
Our Behavior will be different because we are now different from the Inside out ... We are become a "new Creation in Christ".....and "old things are passed away", and "behold, all things have/are become New".
The "new man" has arrived, forgiven, and born again.

God gives us new desires as our new heart, and the Grace of God to empower us to pursue them, as "present your body as a living Sacrifice to God, which is your reasonable Service'.

You might consider taking some time away from posting.

When not advocating heresy, you are misrpresenting what is plainly written in posts you quote.

You appear to not be OK.
is your Salvation, as only a fool is trying to work their way into Heaven.
NEVER said that.

@pandaflower ....You might consider going back to your theological sandbox, so that you dont continue to interfere with the Adults on the forum who want to learn some Bible.
You're not here to learn,
You just want attention.

When not advocating heresy, you are misrpresenting what is plainly written in posts you quote.

You need to post the exact quote, that you are not able to comprehend, and then i'll take a little time and explain it to you.
Whereas is you just imply, your nonsense, and dont quote me, then you are being Dishonest.

You appear to not be OK.

You appear to not be a real student of the NT., according to your former and future posts. @pandaflower

The
Let me explain why our behaivor is not related to SALVATION.

Its like this.....our SALVATION is Jesus on the Cross..........not our behavior.

Understand?

So, that is why A Christian's behavior is not related to : SALVATION.
Its only a Christian's Faith in Christ that is related to God's Salvation.

Now, your DISCIPLESHIP.......that is your life given to God because you are saved, is all about your behavior, as this is where you "present your body as a living sacrifice to God".
But that is not your Salvation, that is your Discipleship.
Then we can behave however we like. You just ramble aimlessly

And that repentance you are posting about..... is to Trust in Christ. = Its to turn from unbelief to FAITH.

That's Real Repentance, that God is looking for, all over the earth, constantly.
You are very stubborn ,Behold. Yes they put their faith in Christ. The father called them to His Son. He made their hearts SEE that they are sinners and that causes repentance. OTHERWISE, without the admission of sins- there is NO need for Christ. Can you connect this yet?
Listen, Real Preachers like me dont "brow beat" sinners by telling them that they must sorry for their filthy sinful lives.........but instead we show them The Cross of Christ, we "preach the Cross"..... where eternal Forgiveness is found, and then the Holy Spirit opens the sinner's heart to this (Paul's Gospel) revelation, and some will put their faith in Christ, and others who have "come to the knowledge of the Truth"....will not......even tho they know its true.
You are a preacher? Who said anything about brow beating anyone?
One of the strangest Salvation stories ive personally known, is regarding a Famous Person who, wanted to be saved, but told God..

"im not coming to you, when im down and out, like most people do........i'll come to you once i get myself together and have my success back".......and that is what He did.
He sounds like a proud man. I'm glad it wasn't his last night on earth.
This is : Papa Don Schroeder.

How do i know this story, personally?
Its because i use to be the Station Operator at His "Christian Music" Radio Station for a couple of Years., when i was in the States in the late '80's , and was a young Preacher.

Sorry never heard of him.
Only the Holy Spirit can open the heart of a Sinner, so that they SEE their need for forgiveness, and Salvation that God offers through The Cross of Christ.
And from that "enlightenment", they have the choice to put their faith in Christ or to wait, or refuse.
That was my point. As I said, Only God opens the heart to see the need for Christ. That is the repentant heart.

Yes! But that is not what he/she was saying before. If that's what was actually meant is one thing-- but it is not what was said.

So I can behave anyway I like after I'm "saved". Excellent
No. We are saved through Jesus. But because we are saved, there will be a change in behavior. @Behold has explained the difference between salvation and discipleship.

I don't desire a sinful lifestyle. I think once you are born again, there will be changes in one's life for the better.

There will be changes in our behavior if we choose to change the behavior. We dont surrender free will when we are "saved". No one was with God more than Adam and Eve but their choice to sin separated them from God. The prodigal sone was with the father but he chose to leave the father but also chose to go back to the father. If free will plays no role in our decisions then anything we do in God's name is not done out of love. Love is a free act of the will just like Jesus freely chose to go to the cross. He was completely free to say No but he didnt because we loved us. No one would say its love to force someone to do something. It has to be a free choice.
