Free will is essential. Just like the Israelites had to chose freely to look at the serpent and live. or chose to not look in unbelief and die, we must chose to believe (have faith ) and look to the cross and live. or continue in unbelief and not look, and continue to die.

Pure truth unto this statement, brother. Did the Israelites choose freely or were they massacred by the thousands and tens of thousands for disobedience?

Numbers 21: 8 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and it shall be that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, shall live.” 9 So Moses made a bronze serpent, and put it on a pole; and so it was, if a serpent had bitten anyone, when he looked at the bronze serpent, he lived.

did they have free will to look and live, or not look at die.

did they get massacred?? I do not see that in the text as an option.

Seek more broadly. With a bit of referencing, I could list judgements of death upon many through the Pentateuch alone, while Samuel, Chronicles, and Kings list even more and more.

It is a pattern to which you are blinded by your embrace of falsehood. Every lie you choose to hold as truth obscures your vision of reality. You must attack them individually with what light you have to identify them. It will be painful, it will incur shame, it may even incur wrath, but humiliation is part of His process, and to embrace it is to receive mercy. And if you would refuse His process, you have His condemnation.

Where is the freedom you speak of in the compelled action you cite? The freedom to not die?
That is a matter of the will? Do you force yourself to eat and eliminate waste?
What impact could you possibly have on His plan by your express cooperation or disobedience?
What will do you have that stands against His in any capacity at all?

This is a metaphor, a metaphor for the ancient serpent in the Garden of Eden biting a woman's heel, looking at the ancient serpent means that if you can really look at the ancient serpent clearly, It has been shown that you understand many of the mysteries of God's word and that you are still alive.

With context:
Drive away the influence of the serpent in order to fully understand the word of God.

Understand that this staff was made at the request of God. It does not represent the ancient serpent, but the authority of God.

there is no need to seek more

I reference somethign that happened in Moses day, and asked if they had free will

Me looking for somethign that happened many years later will not help us answer the question I asked

Now your accusing me, when you can not even answer my question

Where is the freedom you speak of in the compelled action you cite? The freedom to not die?

lol/ Answer the question.

Or I will assume you will not because you know it will defeat your whole argument.

one more time

Numbers 21: 8 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and it shall be that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, shall live.” 9 So Moses made a bronze serpent, and put it on a pole; and so it was, if a serpent had bitten anyone, when he looked at the bronze serpent, he lived.

John 3: 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Did they have free will to chose life or death, and do we have free will to chose life or death (condemnation)

Um No.

It is a historical event. Jesus even mentioned this event in John 3. as it literally happened.
With context:

It is a type. but the event literally happened.

those who looked lived, those who did not died.

And jesus, using this example ot trype. said int he same he he himself will literally be lifted up (fulfilling thge type) so that whoever looks will love (in faith) and whoever does not will die.

I apologize. I was abrasive.

I acquiesce to your pull.

No. They did not have free will. No one does. There is only One will, and by His magnificent design, He has full control over it. His will be done, because it is, on earth as it is in heaven.

My accusation is based on your inability to trust His goodness such that His irresistible Love hasn't compelled you to keep looking.

You said it yourself,

"there is no need to seek more"

and this is why you are here and still seeking and why I am here saying "I have what you are all looking for and He wants me to tell you about it" and people keep throwing Scripture at me like He isn't living within me and I'm lying about it.

But this is to be expected and is a wonderful part of this learning process. I love His teaching and guidance. He has transformed me from one who hated my weakness to one who loves His strength.

I get harsh sometimes because the muck I trudged through for decades takes time to excoriate.

I'm telling you man, He is REAL. You can find Him. And that's what I'm here for, I'm not angry at anyone or looking to be known under my own name. I keep pointing to Jesus because He is real and His promises are true and He is all powerful.

Sometimes these matters can't be expressed precisely without using the spiritual vernacular of ancient metaphors and other Scriptures for their lack of worldly counterparts for meaning. He led me through much study and learning to convey His messages.

So your insistence on whether they could look is a moot point because you don't believe the answer. God orchestrated every single life to exist, and the composition determines who chooses to look and who doesn't.

He wrote the script for His own execution and all the prophecy around it for proof, which He preserved precisely and spread the world over. And people still don't see why they can't see Him, which is of course, by His absolute intention.

When He returns in power and glory, no one will be able to speak against Him. He has spoken, so it is done.

You believe lies and that is why I reach out to you.

Every person to ever live just "woke up" one day. Adam, I'm sure, recalled every moment of His life, being a perfect and flawless man, of course. But for the rest of us, we just come around after a time and coalesce into a person with memories and experience. We don't choose anything about our life. Nothing. We just occupy it.

It takes considerable life experience to develop the kind of control that overcomes impulse, and few can control them all. What are these impulses and why do we seek to overcome them? They are the flesh, the voices of temptation, the allures of destruction, the profits of violation, and all manner of wickedness, the representation of life without God.

All efforts toward what is good, right, honorable, appropriate, purposeful, skilled, meaningful, virtuous, admirable and holy point directly toward the Origin and Source of them all, Jesus Christ. So naturally, those who keep doing the bad things feel His condemnation because He has made it so abundantly clear it is internal, built in to the human mind. It can be severed and it can be developed, but we all have a conscience at some point.

He has a plan that no one can comprehend. If He wanted us to we could, but things are exactly as He wants them, and that is good. The mystery He is revealing is that evil is good that people don't enjoy, because He is perfect and so is everything He does, regardless of how His creation perceives it.

This only angers the people who don't believe Him when He says He is Good and Righteous and Holy. I believe Him no matter what happens to me because He gave me His Spirit within. I know I'll suffer but I'll make it through by His power, not mine. I am relieved that He has control. The only thing that bothers me is when doubt tries to creep back in. Like Peter on the water with Jesus, if we look away, we sink.

Now I have the overflowing joy He promised, I hear His instruction, I feel His righteous nature driving me away from sin and leading me in righteous behavior. All of His promises were true all along as they always have been. I longed for Him my whole life. I sought Him with everything I had. I caused significant changes in my life chasing after what I thought was truth with great zeal. I studied extensively. I was quite shattered as a person when He opened my eyes.

And this is the thing about it, He was in control the whole time. Through the influences of my environment and those within it, the abilities, perceptions, interests and passions he placed in me, and the experiences He guided me through, He shaped me. He had me planned out all along. He deposited in me a compulsive love of words and meaning and a profound depth of sensation in many regards.

And He has a plan for everyone. He has everything written out and it was His choice what names He put in His book of Life. Who can argue? Anyone who might would perish in His presence. He made some of us to love Him and seek Him out and a bunch of us to hate Him and put His loved ones to the test. I know He's true and honest and good, so I'm going to trust Him.

He is who He is, and He is wonderful and glorious. I don't question Him. I am profoundly blessed but also compelled to let everyone know He has complete control over everything and things are going to start getting very serious very soon.

What this means to the seeking ones is simple: stop resisting. He has control anyway, just admit it. Listen to your conscience, it's the Lord tapping your shoulder so you know which way to turn to find Him.

I see how my claim makes God sound awful, being responsible for everything. Honestly, I see also how it would inspire a seething and bitter hatred born of personal disapproval for the Master's plan. No one but He truly knows all suffering, as it all takes place within and by and through Him and all because of Him.

How can we hope to grasp His fullness? How can we hope to understand every word He speaks but by His definitions as He provides them? Do I heap condemnation on my head for speaking blasphemy? Or do all my words and actions align with His truth, regardless of those few who disapprove for perspective?

I have made many mistakes and readily confess my faults. But it is His energy that flows through me now. It is His guidance I seek at all times with every capacity to contact Him that He has provided me.

He has shown me things I am not permitted to express, things that reveal eternity. They feed me, these revelations. Seeing hints of what is to come empowers me to walk in His steps by His personal command with an unending enthusiasm for the things I will see. The Holy Spirit truly does teach us all things. He fills me with confidence because I seek to speak truth in all of my words, written or otherwise.

He has changed my life forever, I know this from an undeniable and enduring life change that has taken place from within that has blessed me with a doubt free certainty in the truth and reality of Jesus Christ. I have desired contact with my Creator so desperately my whole life that when He spoke to me, I was prepared to follow His every command.

I will tell an honest story of my life and a truthful tale of my experience. I will emphasize with all the words that He has given me and analyze with all the perception He provides me by His light. Call me what you will, but His forgiveness is the only justification I claim, and my obedience to Him is the only proof of it I can present.

My search for greater clarity and awareness will never cease. I will never learn every lesson. I will love the benefit provided from His each and every correction and seek His guidance for how much I cherish it. He meant for us to be together forever, and He has as He intends to have just as He wants to have it. And it is my greatest pleasure to serve so glorious a Master, to whom I give all credit for all things with all gratitude and praise and glory and honor to the Highest, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ.

Have you ever studied Job 28? It holds profound insight.

In Matthew 13:45, the master says, "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking fine pearls."

Notice that the merchant is seeking, this is no accidental discovery. It’s a search driven by a desire for truth, and the merchant has a discerning eye to recognize value, as we see in Job 28:12-21.

To find the one pearl of great price, the merchant is accustomed to discerning value, but this pearl stands apart from all others, beyond comparison, as described in Proverbs 3:13-15.

Many Christians may possess pearls, but they lack the one true pearl, the original Gospel, untouched by human influence. Few seek it because they believe the version they have is the genuine one, unaware that it has been subtly altered and is, in fact, counterfeit.

If your @XtraPercept spirit truly resonates with "My search for greater clarity and awareness will never cease," then be prepared, for He may reveal truths that are difficult to bear.

God's Segulah people have long known the persecution of holding onto such a pearl of great price.

I enjoy your presence and I appreciate your input. Your perspective has value and I do not discount it.

You believe my language excessive? My rhetoric is so extreme that you equate me to what is essentially a breakfast cake and instability? I completely understand. This way is foreign to you. That's why I am here! To expound on what I found!

My whole adult life until last month I bore a bitterness, a rage, a resentment, a foul attitude, a hatred, and a yearning. The pain I carried for decades dragged me down to intense suffering just for being alive. The burdens I bore would have crushed me years ago but for the strength of the smallest shred of love in which I could be certain.

Words were my only escape. Words were the only component of my heart that had not failed me, because I had so many of His. I was raised in Him and attended His services and heard His messages time and time again. I thought I believed them and thought I knew them but I knew I was miserable as well, and thus I was torn.

If I had His promises, I should not suffer! That's what I believed. But I wanted Him and the fulfillment of His promises so desperately!

I studied extensively. I looked up every unfamiliar word I encountered in the oldest dictionary I could access for the most accurate portrayal of the word definition I could find. If the translation was too recent, I would consult multiple others. I would revisit phrases frequently when new understanding came to me.

I made connections between Biblical records and those of archaeology. I noticed patterns in the interpretations of archaeological studies, the regions of activity and commerce, trade routes, geological timetables, and periods of history as delineated by those who have performed extensive research in the field.

I sought other religions minimally, largely disinterested in what seemed like inferior offers even when I had lost faith in the glorious offers of the Truth. If I couldn't have my God, I would have none, and I would face the afterlife with the boldness of unfettered hatred for everything in full anticipation of welcome destruction.

My friend, I only scratch the surface. I am an intense man. I have led an intense life. I speak with intense words because the words of truth are words of power and the power of which I speak is very real. It is by His power I live and breathe, and by His power I declare His glory, and by His power I serve Him to the best of the ability He has given me with which to do so.

Have you ever sought so desperately for something that you would burn everything you own to the ground with yourself in the midst of the flame for fury of lacking what you desire? Then you have not sought God as I have. And this is no condemnation of you. I was given profound compulsion for Him, and I love it. I love Him and what He has done for me.

And I will not be quiet about it. I will seize every opportunity to express His effusive love and His glorious language. Your presence here is a gift to me!
Yes. Oh how the goodness of God leads us. The road to repentance is before us but do we desire to travel it? The goodness of God is manifest through His Word, for our hearts to receive . . .

I asked Him and He responded. Oh, He responded gloriously! It is the manner of His response I could never have anticipated. The way He works is marvelous! I enjoy to practice my efforts to relate the magnitude of His glory as He has revealed it to me. I believe it is why He instilled in me the passions that He has.

then be prepared, for He may reveal truths that are difficult to bear.

I prepare nothing, He prepares me. All truth is only as acceptable as the Lord permits us to accept it. Among those He has not permitted it, the truth is the highest offense. But since He calls us to declare it, what have we to fear? Nothing, if we can trust His goodness.

Repentance is a supercar, like a 1000 HP Bugatti Veyron, but in the styling of a Fiat 500. It doesn't look glorious, but if you hop in and floor it, you're in for a wild ride that few could appreciate from the outside. Let them scoff, let them mock! If I know what's under the hood and I'm having the ride of my life, the derision of the lost means nothing to me.

I enjoy the graphics you post! I'd like to reflect on this latest one.

A confession of faith -
Faith is what leads to confession, the act of which strengthens faith. We believe we need to confess because the guilt in our conscience burns to indicate the judgement we are under. The relief that follows confession demonstrates internally the power of willful sanctification. This is a process which will vary for everyone beyond the established principles presented in His word.

A community of forgiveness -
The church, the elect, those who have been forgiven and would thus withhold such from no one who demonstrates the Spirit. We are to be prudent, of course, but no genuine repentance goes unrewarded.

A commitment to follow -
He guides as He will, in so many ways. If we commit to follow Him with all our hearts, He does glorious work in and through us. I marvel at what He has done with human hands and it is my greatest honor to participate in any capacity.

A commission to serve -
The natural result of the commitment is the commission, the objective He illustrated in so many ways; the lampstand, the city on a hill, the oil lamp, and others which presently elude my mind, but it is abundantly clear that He wishes for us to contend for Him.

A cause for sacrifice -
Nothing of value is cheap and nothing cheap is long valued. We are called to be living sacrifices! What greater investment could a man make than to invest the entirety of His being in the service of his Creator?

A crop of fruit -
The Lord sows and reaps and harvests. His garden produces in abundance. His crops are all good things. What a delight to be in His presence, with the transformative power of His radiant Life.

Thank you again for your contributions!

I apologize. I was abrasive.
its all good
I acquiesce to your pull.
It was not really a poll. just a question.
No. They did not have free will. No one does.
Wow. So your saying God offered salvation to everyone there. But then he did not give them any freedom to chose to be saved by trusting him, or choosing to continue in unbelief and die.

Would this not make it Gods fault that those who died ? Since he never even offered them any hope?

I am not tryign to be rude. But this is how I see this type of thinking.
There is only One will, and by His magnificent design, He has full control over it. His will be done, because it is, on earth as it is in heaven.
And what is his will?

Jesus says it well..

John 5:
24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.

John 6: 35 And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. 36 But I said to you that you have seen Me and yet do not believe. 37 All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. 39 This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. 40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

Its no different. The ones who heard the word of Moses, who spoke the words of God and believed lived. Just like we will if we chose to believe. Unlike them, however (they were the type) we will love forever. and pass from judgment to life. ASs jesus said. he who believes is not condemned.

If there is no free will non of the above makes any sense.
My accusation is based on your inability to trust His goodness such that His irresistible Love hasn't compelled you to keep looking.
Now your getting personal. Don't sit there and tell me what I do or do not do. I trust God with my life and my eternity. In the hope that he gave me. I do not need to look for his love, I experienced it 50 years ago.

I ask you questions to get you to think about what you are saying. not so you can accuse me of things that are not true.
You said it yourself,

"there is no need to seek more"

and this is why you are here and still seeking and why I am here saying "I have what you are all looking for and He wants me to tell you about it" and people keep throwing Scripture at me like He isn't living within me and I'm lying about it.
No sire. You do not have what I am looking for. You should not speak so highly of yourself.. This usually does not go well..
But this is to be expected and is a wonderful part of this learning process. I love His teaching and guidance. He has transformed me from one who hated my weakness to one who loves His strength.
But you could have chose to still resist his love his guidance and his strength. If you could not. You would never sin (Please do not tell me you think you are sinless) which is why I do not get this no free will business. and wonder why people seem to be afraid of that term (not saying you are. just have witnessed this many times over)
I get harsh sometimes because the muck I trudged through for decades takes time to excoriate.
I can get harsh back.. Especially when I see the integrity of God and his love put into question.
I'm telling you man, He is REAL. You can find Him. And that's what I'm here for, I'm not angry at anyone or looking to be known under my own name. I keep pointing to Jesus because He is real and His promises are true and He is all powerful.
Again, I found him 50 years ago. I am wondering sincerely why you think I have not because I asked you a few questions..

Oh I believe the answer. I know the answer. YES they had free will. The ones who died have no one to blame but themselves. They can not stand before God on judgment day and blame him, He offered them salvation. they rejected him, he did not reject them
God orchestrated every single life to exist, and the composition determines who chooses to look and who doesn't.
This is one of the most horrific things I have heard about God and his integrity in my life.

God is a God of love. He does not withhold his love from anyone. they resist him.. and if they do they will suffered the consequences. but they Can Not blame God. no one for all eternity can blame God. Because he loved them.

God told you to love everyone, including your enemy. no matter who they are

Imagine a God who tells his children to do something he refuses to do.
He wrote the script for His own execution and all the prophecy around it for proof, which He preserved precisely and spread the world over. And people still don't see why they can't see Him, which is of course, by His absolute intention.
Actually know

He did not come to judge, he came that the world MAY be saved.

He was not willing any should perish but all should come to life.

He is not one who has pleasure in one who died. its why he cried out for Israel to repent and live.

He cried over jerusalem. how it was his will to gather them as a mother hen, but THEY were unwilling
When He returns in power and glory, no one will be able to speak against Him. He has spoken, so it is done.
Amen

Except if we do not have free will. and Hod forced people to believe. and with holds his salvation from others. People and all creation WILL be able to speak against him. Because he failed to prove his enemy wrong.
You believe lies and that is why I reach out to you.
You believe lies. and that's why I ask you questions so you will think

Now. I pray we can be more polite in our future conversations.. I did not wish to get into an accusatory conversation. But sadly. you gave me no choice.

It was not really a poll. just a question.

To the pull of your conversation toward a direct response. An understandable and not entirely objectionable response to Socratic methodology.

But before I read your post, this may address it well enough. I'll find out after I write this message, which begins with a riddle;

I am feared by the powerful, Yet shaped by the helpless.
Kings shudder at my whispers, While beggars use me freely.
Once given, I can never be taken back.
Yet when earned, I may be lost forever.
What am I?

The answer is the nature of our discussion here, the belief that man has a will with the capacity to interfere with that of the Master. It is not possible to interfere with the will of the All Powerful One. There is love and reward or disbelief and condemnation. That's it. The answer to life is "true or false."

And He is True.

He made each of us according to an intricate and perfect plan. He has given me insight into why He created me for the purpose of sharing with you. I will elaborate on why I am so relieved to be who He has made me without a will of my own, the one I earned but lost forever and could not be happier about it.

Please understand, it is my joy and love I wish to share, that which I found in Jesus Christ.

He made me to be a machine, a dedicated program, a purposeful tool, a devoted zealot of His service. I have not done this work, I have not obtained these words of my own volition, I have not spoken boldly for my own name's sake, I do everything I do now in search of alignment with His direct commands or with His character. I am obsessed with Him.

And again, not of me, He has done all of this! He works through me now as He always has. I thought I was desperately seeking Him as a cure to the most intense pain of the heart one could imagine, but that is how He has directed me. By profound sensation and longing for meaning and purpose.

Since He opened my eyes, He is as a compass within me, pulling me to His righteousness the way sin used to pull me to death. I can still err, technically, but if my errors are perceived it is for me to learn from my mistakes, otherwise His corrections are mostly direct to my soul. And I LOVE His correction!

I hated hated HATED myself before Him. I despised my actions and lamented my words and tore myself for regret and buried myself for shame and tormented myself for weakness and longed desperately for righteous living. But I refused to give up. I suffered so much embarrassment for all of my confessions through life, and I cherish every one for what it has brought me.

He took several deep wounds I could not escape the sights or sensations of and turned them into gloriously meaningful wonders of my life that I would not trade for anything. He has transformed my entire life into a sensible work of His magnificent planning and operation!

Don't you see? Look at Proverbs 16:9! It speaks directly of this!

"A man plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps."

He has directed my steps all along because He has directed everything all along which means everything is actually perfect and exactly as it should be according to His plan which means all the elect need to do is what He tells them because eternity is just around the corner.

And I have no free will because I have no desire against Him, nothing of me would willfully conflict with Him, no part of me lusts to defy Him, He pulls me to Him and I cherish the experience of it which I sought for so long among His promises to us all.

Okay, now I will read your post, thank you so much again for your interactions.

its all good

Now. I pray we can be more polite in our future conversations.. I did not wish to get into an accusatory conversation. But sadly. you gave me no choice.

Brother I am in refinement as we all are. I bear no ill will. I do believe my prior message may be a sufficient answer.

I do not glorify myself. I am certain of the Spirit of Jesus Christ and seek to uplift His name. Am I a braggart to boast of Jesus Christ? Am I wrong to express His love and joy as He commands me?

I will offend you before I will offend Him, and it is my honorable service to Him to endure what my testimony will bring before this is finished.

To the pull of your conversation toward a direct response. An understandable and not entirely objectionable response to Socratic methodology.
I am not sure if you have a guilt complex or what. But this is getting ridiculous

I asked a question to see where you were coming from.

But before I read your post, this may address it well enough. I'll find out after I write this message, which begins with a riddle;

That's it. The answer to life is "true or false."
lol. Typical fatalistic view

He did not create you to share anything with me my friend. Please stop.. Your making yourself look bad.
