If God declared you righteous because of your behavior, then Jesus died for nothing, on The Cross.
Being “declared” righteous is not the same as “being” righteous....we all fall short, and Christ died in the knowledge that many sinners would come to him, both before and after he paid for their sins.
In the resurrection, all the dead will rise, both “the righteous and the unrighteous” will come back to life...the righteous to life and the unrighteous to a period of judgment, many having died in total ignorance of
the true God and the sin atoning sacrifice of his son. Would God hold them accountable for being born into the wrong religion, or in the wrong nation, so that they never got that information?
Those in the past either died in faith, or they died without it...they either knew God or they didn’t.
Christ came to make sure that death in ignorance did not separate anyone from God.
God does “not desire any to be destroyed, but that all will attain to repentance”....he is a God of justice and love, not revenge and punishment. But he does not force himself on anyone. He gives us all the choice of wanting to serve him because he is our Sovereign ruler, or they can take on their own sovereignty by giving it to evil men.....and false religion.
That is what you are teaching, and its worse then a Lie, its a Cross Denying Cult theology.
So, you seem to not understand that your SIN, is ON YOU>.....your entire lifetime of sin is on you, and if you stopped sinning until you died, then you still have a lifetime of previous sinning that came before.
Are you so unbelievably naive, to believe that you can come to God with your lifetime of sin, unforgiven,.... if you decided to stop, 5 months ago? or 15 yrs ago?
It seem that you believe that God’s forgiveness has limits that
you impose. When Christ died he took away “the sin of the world” with him......that is our entire lifetime of sin. But unless we alter our sinful course, we do not qualify for that forgiveness. The evil doer who was hung alongside Jesus had a last minute change of heart...what did Jesus promise him?.....not heaven but “paradise”. That was a decision he made at the last moment. That is how keen Jesus was to offer salvation, no matter how long a person has been sinning.
You dont understand Salvation.
The Cross of Christ is unknown to you, according to your Posts.
You are the victim of your cult's theology.
Whose theology are you a victim of? Are you the leader of your own cult?
Jesus said that if you believe In Him, He will "give you eternal life".
So, you can't believe in Him after you are dead......So this mean you have to give God your faith in Christ while you are breathing, and then you will receive Eternal Life, who IS JESUS.
Jesus died for the living and the dead.....those who have died in ignorance, and those who lived and died in pre-Christian times, without being able to come into contact with Christ’s disciples, so as to learn the truth about the savior, won’t lose out on life because they were born in the wrong nation or religion. God gives people back their life, so that they breathe again, and can come to know him. That is what the resurrection is for.
This is why Jesus told you that He is the "resurrection and THE LIFE".
This is why JOHN told you, that "you can know you have ETERNAL LIFE, and this life is in His SON".
Jesus is Eternal Life. John 14:6
Yes, but not the way you suggest.
God's Salvation is Jesus on The Cross.
So....You can't "Do that"..... you have to Receive what Jesus has completed.......which is the sacrifice of Himself to God for YOUR SINS,
@Aunty Jane .
And Jesus told you that if you will not have this, then you will "die in your sins" and there is no remedy for this after you die.
This is why Paul told you....>"now is the day of Salvation, NOW is the accepted time".
It is always the acceptable time to become a Christian....but no one could do so until he came to offer his life for us. He was a promise in the OT, but a reality from the first century onward.
Today is all any of us have....and because this is “the time of the end”, it is a judgment period, where no human will be able to claim ignorance.....”just like the days of Noah”......all found outside of God’s means of salvation back then, were lost....with no way to change course. It sets a precedent. (Matt 24:37-39)
"All who call on the Name of Jesus, believing, shall be SAVED".......from This...... = John 3:36
Actually it is “all who call on the name of Yahweh will be saved”. Paul quoted Joel2:32, in Rom 10:13, which reads in the OT....
”And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be those who escape, as the LORD has said, and among the survivors shall be those whom the LORD calls.” (ESV)
We can see that “the LORD” there is Yahweh. Capital letters indicate the divine name.
Jesus’ name is also tied to salvation because it was his life that paid the ransom demanded by God’s perfect justice. A course that he willingly took because of his own love for the human race, and the fact that Adam’s children suffered for what he did.
Im not aware of a "christian" theology that teaches that you can keep sinning and be saved.
However, Paul teaches that when there is no LAW, then the Law can't define a Christian's deeds or them, as anything at all.
= """"Christ is the end of the Law for righteousness, to/for, everyone who BELIEVES".""".
A.) "Believes" = a sinner's "Faith (in Christ) is counted by GOD, as (Christ's imputed) Righteousness" unto them.
Are you suggesting that because “Christ ended the law”, that there was no longer any rules to obey? Wow!
The old Mosaic Law with its written code and sacrificial requirements was done away with by Christ’s sacrifice, but the law of the Christ remained in the two greatest Commandments....’to love God with one’s whole being and to love our neighbor as ourselves’. Jesus said that the whole of the Law and the Prophets was based on those two, which never became redundant.
Jesus’ teachings were clearly in accord with the law of Moses in its moral code and the necessity to put obedience before sacrifice, which for Christians, was a sacrifice of anything in life that was more important than obedience to God. God is never to be given second place in our life.
Salvation that God offeres is "while we were yet sinners".
"To them who worketh NOT.......but believeth on God, who Justifies the UNGODLY... their FAITH is counted as (Christ's) Righteousness"..... Imputed to them.
Good grief, can you not quote Scripture in a language understood by all English speakers!?
The KJV is a dinosaur in today’s world, and it speaks in an outdated language that most new Bible students would not understand. It’s time to move on.....The KJV is not a gift from God....it is rife with errors, and there are many good translations out there....as well as the resources to find the accurate translation of original language words. This is what Bible study is.....deeper than any one translation.
The way you interpret Scripture is a disgrace to the God whom Jesus served. He will continue in his service to God along with his elect, until all redeemed humanity is reconciled to God through their administration of his Kingdom rule. Only after the thousand year reign of Christ and his elect, can we get back what Adam lost for us....everlasting life on a cleansed earth, in paradise conditions....with no sickness, ageing, or death to spoil God’s creation. That is what we lost. That is what Christ’s sacrifice gives us back.
Liars enjoy telling people that the sin they chose to do recently, is not their fault.
Try not to be one of those..
You are very free with your accusations against others, but totally oblivious to your own misinterpretation of Scripture.
The sin we inherited from Adam is not our fault....it’s an awful inheritance passed on through all generations of the human race.....like an inherited genetic disease that is incurable.....it leads only to death.....this is what Christ’s sacrifice accomplishes.....the elimination of the sinful inclinations that are in our flesh. We are never to stop resisting sin.
What cannot be forgiven is wilful and deliberate sin, committed in full knowledge and in defiance of God’s laws, and for which we are not genuinely repentant.
Anyone who teaches otherwise, will be accountable, as will all who follow them.
