“And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. ”
“And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail. ”
Revelation 11:18,19 KJV

Here we have a last days event. John is seeing, in vision, the opening of the Most Holy Place in heaven, where he sees what he calls, the ark of His testament. This is the original ark, of which the ark of the OT sanctuary in which was housed the two tables of stone upon which was written the Ten Commandments, was a copy.
What them do you think is in the ark which John saw in heaven?

I think it is symbolic of Jesus....The safe place as was Noah's boat also a symbol of. The lamb slain before the foundation of the World ie, the Character of God.

We know what is supposed... to be in it. The jar of manna and the stone tablets and Aaron's rod. But I don't see that as the main point of that Revelation 11 Scripture.

The main point I see is that it... is IN HEAVEN, and no longer ON EARTH.

What does that means about today's Orthodox Jews in Jerusalem that plan to build their 3rd stone temple and start up old covenant worship again? They must have the Ark of the Covenant in order to fulfill that.

It tells me they are going to create a FAKE ONE!

I’m pretty sure the ark is referring to the ark that was salvation for Noah.

The ark in heaven is referring to Jesus because Noah’s ark was a foreshadow of salvation through Jesus.

I strongly disagree, the "ark of His testament" means the Ark of the Covenant.

You are wrongly SPIRITUALLIZING what is written.

The Ark (whether the Ark of the Covenant in the Old Testament, or the Ark of His Testament seen in heaven in Revelation) is a symbol of God’s covenant — His binding agreement with His people.

  • In the Old Testament, the Ark of the Covenant held the stone tablets of the Ten Commandments, the physical “testimony” (Exodus 25:16).
  • It also represented God’s presence among His people — the mercy seat was described as His “throne” on earth (Exodus 25:22).
  • In Revelation 11:19, when John sees the ark in the heavenly temple, it’s showing that God’s covenant is still intact and eternal, even as He brings judgment and salvation to completion.
So yes — the ark = the visible sign of God’s covenant promise and presence.

The Ark of the Covenant in Rev.11 is not a symbol.

When the Scripture says...

Rev 11:19
19 Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of His covenant
was seen within His temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake, and heavy hail.
ESV

... it being SEEN in His Heavenly temple, that is NOT A SPIRITUALIZATION.

Are there thunder and lightning storms in heaven? How about earthquakes in heaven? Hail in heaven?

There is IF... the Scripture says there is. What's the matter, don't you believe God's Word AS WRITTEN?

With you, evidently not much, but others might want to know what I've shown you from God's written Word. So don't be so vain as to think this is just about you.
I read threads where you post, trust me, nobody believes your showing them something from God.

Since the original ark was contained in the Most Holy compartment of the literal tabernacle and temple, it represented God’s presence among his people. Moses would communicate with God in the presence of the Shekinah light that hovered between the cherubs on the cover of the ark....where he heard God’s instructions for his people.
Before presenting the blood of the atonement sacrifices once each year on the Day of Atonement, the Aaronic high priest would take a portable incense burner or a hand censer and pass beyond the inner curtain that separated the first compartment from the innermost compartment (the Most Holy) and burn incense before the Ark of the Covenant in the illumination from the Shekinah Light.

Only the High Priest was allowed access to the Most Holy, again reflecting how the son, as our appointed High Priest after his resurrection, gained access to God’s presence in heaven.

The testimony is a testimony against us - all - humanity - because it contains God's commandments which are an indictment against us - which is why it is covered by the mercy seat sprinkled with the blood of Christ, the atonement for our sins who ever lives to intercede for us.

It's the testimony which is the indictment of the nations being spoken about in the verses you quote. They have no mercy-seat sprinkled with the blood of the Lamb covering their sins, and time has run out for them to repent and place their faith in Him.

The earthly tabernacle was a copy of it.

It's also the reason why those whose names are not written in the Lamb's book of life are judged by their deeds written in the books at the time of the GWT judgment. They have no mercy-seat sprinkled with the blood of the Lamb.

But how many times are the dead judged?

11:18 Thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged.

20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

God's Word is Jesus. The scriptures point to Jesus. Glorify the pointer and you have a misplaced emphasis resulting in an inability to see intent.

“And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple..."

Don't forget you have this verse to add to whatever theory you are working on:

Revelation 21:22 - "And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it."

Isn't it interesting that the physical, LITERAL tabernacles, temples, candlesticks, olive trees, etc. existed during a certain time period spanning 1335 years? From the building of the tabernacle in the wilderness, to the destruction of Herod's temple, the 1335 timeline was there all along. Sadly, none of you saw the obvious...

Daniel 12:12 - "Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days."

God of JUDGEMENT:

Isaiah 30:18 - "And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him."

Isn't it interesting how Revelation 11:15...

Revelation 11:15 - "And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever."

...sounds like...

Daniel 7:13-14 "I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed."

1755834285182.png
which sounds like...

Revelation 12:5 - "And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne."

God's Temple, the core of which was The Ark.....
For those with ears to hear this presentation by C.S. Lewis, it might stimulate those eternal taste buds?

According to Paul's letter to the Hebrews, and OT testimony, the entire sanctuary of the OT, including the later temples in Jerusalem, and all the furniture inside, were copied from the pattern God gave Moses, forming a miniature replica of the original sanctuary in heaven wherein is God's throne.
The Ark that resided in the earthly sanctuary was hidden away in a cave by Jeremiah before the invasion by Babylon . That ark of the covenant remains hidden, and would still contain the original tables of stone.
So my question remains unanswered. What is inside the ark of the testimony in heaven? It is called the ark of the testament... What is the testament?

Saw your chance to chime your BS in huh? If you were 'given' to understand God's Word you would know what I've shown from God's written Word.
