Nah... Lord Jesus has NOT yet come to inherit David's throne, which is an EARTHLY THRONE. As of right now, Jesus sits on the right hand of The Father, still expecting, until all His enemies are made His footstool.

The Genesis 49:10 prophecy reveals that the royal sceptre (i.e., David's throne), will remain with Judah until Shiloh (put for Jesus) comes, and to Him will the gathering of the people be. That means... a bloodline descendant of the tribe of Judah, of the house of David, is to still be sitting upon David's EARTHLY THRONE all... the way up to Christ's future 2nd coming (i.e, the time of the gathering). And that is when Jesus will inherit David's EARTHLY THRONE. Lord Jesus even revealed this in the Matthew 25:31-33 Scripture.

Gen 49:10
10
The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.
KJV

Therefore, that Biblically proves that MEN'S FALSE DOCTRINE of Jesus already sitting on David's throne as false, and thus another DOCTRINE OF MEN LIE BITES THE DUST!
This is from the New Testament, which is apparently missing from your Bible.

Acts 2
29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool.

Congratulations for once again ducking around every single biblical argument that was presented. That is what you do. That is because your doctrine is bankrupt.

Congratulations for once again ducking around every single biblical argument that was presented. That is what you do. That is because your doctrine is bankrupt.
many many moons and months and even years ago
i had finally been given a computer .
The five years prior to this i had been loving and reading the scriptures daily for hours .
Now i went about to find some fellowship .
SO i found a site . a christain site .
And man was i on fire for some fellowship .
As i read through much of what was being passed off as doctrine
and as i watched folks debating over what they darn sure beleived was meat of GOD
i began to wonder on a certain question .
Any guesses on what that question was my friend .
A thought popped into my head . HOW on earth can people actually beleive such things
Why do they often teach for meats the doctrines of men and those doctrines contain such errors .
Then a real small voice came to me and this voice said
GO TOO and test them with the most basic teachings of CHRIST JESUS and of the apostels
And ye shall see they will twist even those and omit even basic truth .
AND boy DID THEY .
IF folks cannot even accept the TRUTH of JESUS words and of the apostels in that bible
THEN HOW ON EARTH are they ever gonna even recieve some deeper spiritual so called understanding .
THEY WONT . they the blind leading the blind .
I bet if i asked five simple questions to most , that most would twist at least three or four .
THIS generation needs A WAKE UP CALL and very fast too . Heck most dont even know
what christanity has lost , let alone they dont even KNOW THEY ARE LOST .
this is not a accusation , ITS A SIMPLE FACT . NOW ITS BIBLE TIME FOR US ALL . we must get back into it
to learn for ourselves and be refreshed . and fast too . cause many are not gonna make it on the path they are now on
under the love they now call love . ITS all a delusion my friend .

35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool.

Your are so.... FUNNY! You have not even READ what that above Acts 2 Scripture is saying!!!

The above is YOUR claim, so you OWN any REBUKE deserved for NOT properly READING THAT SCRIPTURE...

Acts 2:29-35
29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him,
that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

Raise up Lord Jesus to sit upon WHO'S throne? David's throne, that is the throne the above is pointing to, an EARTHLY THRONE. David NEVER sat upon his throne in Heaven.

31 He seeing this before
spake of the resurrection of Christ, that His soul was not left in hell, neither His flesh did see corruption.
32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

It was Lord Jesus' flesh body that did NOT see corruption (decay). Neither was Jesus left in hell when He went and preached to the "spirits in prison". Jesus' flesh body was even QUICKENED to a Spirit (1 Cor.15:45).

33 Therefore
being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, He hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

That is about Christ Jesus, NOT David, being by the RIGHT HAND OF GOD EXALTED. Did that say He is sitting on David's throne? NOPE! So why would you wrongly assume that is what this Acts 2 Scripture is about, maybe just because YOUR PREACHER SAID IT WAS, AND YOU INSTEAD BELIEVED HIM WITHOUT CHECKING THE ACTUAL SCRIPTURE AS WRITTEN?!?

34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself,
"The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit Thou on My right hand,
35 Until I make Thy foes Thy footstool."
KJV

That is actually a quote from Psalms 110:1. Did that say Christ is sitting on David's throne in Heaven? NOPE! It says Jesus is now sitting on the RIGHT HAND OF THE FATHER'S THRONE (in Heaven),

Hebrews 10 puts it this way...

Heb 10:12-13
12 But this man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever,
sat down on the right hand of God;
13
From henceforth expecting till His enemies be made His footstool.
KJV

Where is David's literal throne today?

Jerusalem

Where in Acts 2:29-35 do you see "Jerusalem"?

Don’t have to SEE David’s Throne to Know God Established THAT Throne “everlasting”.

2 Sam 7:
[16] And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.

It is clear from this whole chapter that these misguided Jews still foolishly yearned for a coming Messiah who would one day reign upon a physical temporal earthly throne in Jerusalem,

Quick to criticize Jews.
God blinded them..
And… ding, ding, ding…their blindness opened the Opportunity for Gentiles to be Offered Salvation.

Their Messiah shall one day sit on His Throne In Jerusalem

when He had in fact already come and rose to the heavenly Davidic throne.

No He didn’t.
He came as a Servant, NOT to Rule
His power (Christ) was revealed after He was ON Earth
He shall RETURN with Power and Claim His Kingdom, His Throne

Hello! This is talking about Christ’s victorious exaltation to David’s heavenly throne. This is not talking about some imaginary long-redundant earthly physical Jewish throne. The earthly type has been spiritual fulfilled at Christ’s coronation in heaven, after defeating the grave.

Peter categorically affirms: “he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; he seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ. And: “This Jesus hath God raised up … being by the right hand of God exalted.” He confirms: “For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, the Lord said unto my Lord, sit thou on my right hand, until I make thy foes thy footstool.” Because of this glorious reality: “God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.”

What throne did Christ sit upon at His Resurrection?
1. David's earthly throne, which had been destroyed more than 500 years previously.
2. David's heavenly throne at the right hand of the Father.

Not funny, not accurate.
Throne IS Heaven, not IN Heaven.

Isa. 66
[1] Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?

Acts.7
[49] Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?

king David’s Throne, is Everlasting, Not vanished, Not destroyed.

2 Sam 7:
[16] And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.
[17] According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.

2 Chron 17:
[14] But I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for evermore.

In Jerusalem.

Isa.

You went and quoted the scripture, which says Heaven is the Throne of God and earth His footstool, yes you still say Earth is going to be God's throne in Jerusalem, OF THIS EARTH.

Somehow you have been blinded.
The Jerusalem where God will dwell is the one that comes down from Heaven onto the NEW EARTH, there is nothing in the New Testament that says otherwise. And that New Testament is the one in force today.

I'm going to, um, cut and paste my previous post (#1430)...<smile>...

David's throne ~ where Christ now sits ~ was never a literal chair... <chuckle>... but a position of power and preeminence as king over Israel.
Note: Now, did David have a literal throne? Well yes, probably so, but the Bible never refers to the actual chair he sat in... <chuckles>
David was placed by God in this position as king over Israel in his day ~ what we can now call "lesser Israel," not because it "wasn't as good" or something ridiculous like that, but because Israel was of a lesser scope (mostly ethnic Jews with a few Gentiles sprinkled in, which was a foreshadowing of the Greater Israel to come). Christ now "sits on that throne" in His position as the Forever King over Israel at the right hand of the Father, which is to say in the power of God... Greater Israel, which, since Christ's coming and His opening of the Gospel to all, now includes people from every tongue, tribe, and nation, all those now in Christ, "not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but (through Isaac) the children of the promise," as Paul says in Romans 9:7-8. Those in Christ are God's true Jews (as Paul says in Romans 2:28-29, "no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly, nor is circumcision outward and physical; a Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter; his praise is not from man but from God"), and thus make up His Israel, those of His household, again, Greater Israel. In this way, Jesus is the Greater David.
Note: David was the "lesser Christ," not in the sense that he ever was the Christ, but a shadow of the Christ to come. Which is how God spoke to His people in the days before Jesus came ~ various characters (Abraham, Joseph, Moses, to name a few) and even inanimate objects (Noah's ark, the manna from heaven, among others) were used as types/shadows of the Christ to come in various ways and for various purposes ~ "by the prophets," as Hebrews 1:1 says. But "in these last days, He has spoken to us by His Son, Whom He appointed the Heir of all things, through Whom also He created the world" (Hebrews 1:2).

Grace and peace to all.

If your foolishness were so, my own words would say so… but look at your own words…

covenantee- “the praising of antichrist ”…
many sure seem to praise and follow men who lead in this interfaith . THAT IS OF ANTI CHRIST .
So let none here who name the name of Christ flock anywhere near those who do the work of interfaith .
Cause as you well said , WE darn sure dont wanna be praising anti christ ...........do we . We better watch out , be alert
and on gaurd .

Is that what Peter said? Scripture's last word regarding David's throne was his.
Exactly. In Acts 2:29-36 Peter is very clear that Jesus was RAISED UP to David's throne upon being RAISED UP from the dead. Only doctrinal bias can keep someone from seeing what Peter taught explicitly in that passage.
