Speak to God and say, "I need to know that you are real."
Sometimes you just gotta ignore that command, "Thou shalt not put the Lord thy God to the test". (Deuteronomy 6:16, quoted by Jesus in Matthew 4:7.)

"The Christian doesn't pray because he's afraid God isn't there. The atheist doesn't pray because he's afraid God might actually show up." - Steve Brown

1 Corinthians 12:7 NIV
Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.
1 Corinthians 12:11-12 NIV
All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.
12 Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.

How does he reveal himself to you?
Those times when He has come to me are precious and few. I have a journal in which I keep track of things like that. I could probably count the times, if not on the fingers of one hand, I at least would not have to remove my shoes and socks.

Amen!..they are so precious aren’t they, I’ve only ever had 2 heart revelations where I know 100% it was him.

He speaks to me through my conscience if that makes sense.....it’s really hard to explain....I’ve never heard him speak in an audible voice, have you?

Heart revelation was mind blowing...but, in an audible voice....that would probably send me over the top,LOL.

I think they are both the same...imo.."I have stopped racking my brain, trying to figure God out, I can’t and never will be able to.....he’s far to big and powerful for our minds to understand...his ways and thoughts are far beyond our comprehension..

I know what you mean. But I once heard an audible voice, or at least I thought I did.
Brother, I know exactly what you are saying...when I had my second heart revelation.....that darn enemy, would whisper in my ear....that never came from God it came from your emotions/ imagination...he really tried to steal that heart revelation away from me...I just continued walking in faith and trusting what he revealed to my heart and true enough ..if God gives us heart revelation none can erase his word from our heart, that enemy sure did try though.

Can you share what his voice sounded like and what he said?

Don't overlook the end of that verse, my dear. "But we have the mind of Christ."
That's a big BUT.

1 Corinthians 2:16 NIV
“Who has known the mind of the Lord
so as to instruct him?”[a]
But we have the mind of Christ.

"Man chooses that which is according to his nature,
and therefore before he will ever choose or prefer that
which is divine and spiritual, a new nature must be imparted to him;
in other words, he must be born again.

Let me appeal to the actual experience of the reader of these lines.
Was there not a time when you were unwilling to come to Christ?
There was. Since then you have come to Him.

Are you now prepared to give Him all the glory for that
(Ps 115:1)?
Do you not acknowledge that you came to Christ because the Holy Spirit
brought you from unwillingness to willingness?"
- J. Preston Eby

Your Calvinism post is a lie.

The HS does not cause you to go from unbelief to faith.
WHat He does is show you the Truth, which is.....that you need forgiveness, and Jesus is offered as your Gift forgiveness and your Loving Savior.
From that point of "coming to the knowledge of the truth"........you then are the decider. You decide to place your faith in Christ or not.
Its your faith, and you decide what you do with it.

Welcome to : Free will.

Your energy is consumed in the debating of words, Behold. It is your focus on the minutiae which fills your cup. You have yet to come to know your Saviour.

I disagree with Mr. Eby, surprisingly because I agree with him on the Depravity of Man.

"Man chooses that which is according to his nature." Man is basically self-centered; it is his nature to want to preserve his own life and avoid pain. Salvation doctrine frames the issue in terms of self-preservation: Come to Christ to be saved from eternal torment and/or death. (Or else!) There is absolutely nothing divine or spiritual in that. Any "new nature" is imparted later.

This may be why there is a Hell doctrine - it's the one thing that can get through to those who have no spiritual nature.

That will never lead anyone into any Biblical revelation, as the Bible is not understood by our experiences, .. its discerned by our born again Spirit.

"the word of God is spiriutally discerned"..
You've just restated the reason why Calvinists place Regeneration before Belief in the ordo salutis.

I knew it. You're really a closet Calvinist.

You dont understand the anti-cross gross error of Calvinism, exactly as you can't explain the blood atonement.
I dont think you are able to actually respond to a topic. You just post non-related incoherence.

It seems that God brings us to a crossroads, or a point of desperation, to choose Him.
And this is an act of self-preservation on our part, as you indicated.

In choosing Him we unwittingly open a door to a spiritual life. (spiritual rebirth)
We were seeking relief from our situation but find something more.
