Some on man's extremely... FALSE doctrine of Full Preterism have made it here to this Forum. What is that doctrine?
Full Preterism wrongly believes Lord Jesus Christ's future 2nd coming is only meant 'spiritually'.
On top of that false idea, they also believe that the 2nd coming already happened back in the days of Christ's 12 Apostles, which is blatantly false.'
One of the easiest, and most simple ways to 'know'... that doctrine is false, is by simply looking at how the Apostles spoke of Christ's FUTURE COMING for sometime even in 'their' future. In other words, if the 2nd coming had already happened in their day, then we would not find them speaking of Christ's 2nd coming in the sense that it was still expecting in their day.
These below verses (and many more I did not post) declare Christ's 2nd coming is still expecting when these Scriptures were written.
Heb 9:28
28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
KJV
Acts 1:10-11
10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
11 Which also said, "Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, Which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into heaven."
KJV
That Acts 1 event above when Lord Jesus ascended on a cloud to Heaven, in view of His disciples there upon the Mount of Olives, was after... He had appeared to them for 40 days after His resurrection. Those two angels stated Jesus will come in like manner as they saw Him ascend into Heaven. That puts Jesus' 2nd coming in the still expecting sense in their day, and is still expecting in our day.
If Jesus' 2nd coming had happened in the days of His Apostles, then the whole world would have known about it, and been convinced...
Rev 1:7
7 Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.
KJV
1 John 3:2
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is.
KJV
Even Apostle John in his day understood Jesus' return, His 2nd coming, was still expecting. For right in John's day, he says it doesn't yet appear what we shall be, meaning how we shall look like, pointing to the change to the spiritual body Paul taught in 1 Cor.15. But we know, John says, when Jesus does appear, we will appear like Him (in our glorious body), for we shall see Him as He is.
Now does that sound like John believed Jesus' 2nd coming already happened in his day? No, of course not. Thus men's false doctrine of Full Preterism is EASY to debunk.
