If he really did. I think he probably did but it should be proven in front of a judge and jury.
It will be.

In my opinion, involvement in a transgenderism relationship - if in fact he is, as he appears to be - makes him mentally ill.
Why?

Then the presumption of innocence would be “wink, wink, nudge, nudge” in these cases.
A formality, as you said.

I think the public should get the information in the trial, as the case unfolds in front of judge and jury.
I can see the benefits of that. However, I don't think it's a possibility anymore, given the nature of how fast information shared now on social media.

It will be.

Probably. That’s where it should have become known to the public.

Transgenderism is mentally well?

A formality, as you said.

It shouldn’t be.

It would be possible if too much information isn’t released.

The prosecution will not offer a plea deal or negotiate with overwhelming evidence. The law says to be tried by a jury of your peers. It does not matter the publicity beforehand. This is the age of fast news, and it was a shot heard around the world.

That is a slippery slope the claim mental illness. That would translate to all transgendered people are mentally ill. I doubt the defense would go there. If they did, that would set off a firestorm.

That’s right.

I doubt the defense would go there. If they did, that would set off a firestorm.

If I was in his shoes and they didn’t, the family should ask the judge to replace the defense team.

The only risk of a firestorm now is a hung jury or a brawl over execution or incarceration.

No. But that's not what you said. You implied that the killer was mentally ill because he had a trans boyfriend. I don't think that makes him mentally ill, I think that makes him gay or bisexual.

It shouldn’t be.
Charlie Kirk shouldn't be dead either.

It would be possible if too much information isn’t released.
Good luck with that. Information is leaked all the time.

How long should this trial take @Riven? Would an hour be too long?
As long as it takes to convict him. I'm not concerned about the length of the trial. However, I am concerned about this guy sitting on death row for two decades or more before justice is served.

That’s where we disagree.

The system is broken.

As long as it takes to convict him.

Ten minutes, with a five minute break.

I'm not concerned about the length of the trial.

Someone’s tax dollars at work.

However, I am concerned about this guy sitting on death row for two decades or more before justice is served.

I don’t see any reason to be concerned about that. That’s the way the system works.

In what way? Do you think that being anything other thabk straight makes someone mentally ill?

I don’t see any reason to be concerned about that. That’s the way the system works.
I don't think Erika Kirk should have to wait 30 years for justice for her slain husband.

If they act on it I do.

I don't think Erika Kirk should have to wait 30 years for justice for her slain husband.

She may or may not be content with incarceration. She may not get justice at all, for a number of reasons. Whether she does or doesn’t, she lives in a country where that’s the way the criminal justice system works.

God doesn’t want anyone to perish.
If that were true we wouldn't be damned as soon as we were born. Answerable for our behaviors as soon as we were of age to know right from wrong. Which is more now than Adam and Eve knew.
No sinner deserves forgiveness.
Yes we do. Because the sins of the father aren't suppose to pass to the child.

God condemned the entire human race twice for the innocent first mistake of the first two humans he created.

We don't deserve to be damned.

If that were true ….

I had in mind 1 Timothy 2:4 - “God wants everyone to be saved and to fully understand the truth.”

… we wouldn't be damned as soon as we were born.

I don’t think we‘re damned as soon as we‘re born.

Answerable for our behaviors as soon as we were of age to know right from wrong. Which is more now than Adam and Eve knew.

I agree.

Yes we do. Because the sins of the father aren't suppose to pass to the child.

Let’s discuss Exodus 34:5-7 in another thread some time.

God condemned the entire human race twice for the innocent first mistake of the first two humans he created.

We don't deserve to be damned.

What do you think unrepentant sinners deserve? That’s another good discussion which is probably better suited to a new thread.
