If you own a bible, and you have everr read the NT, then you missed this verse.
You probably just dont remember it,.........
Paul teaches in 1 Corin....: "He that is spirtual, JUDGES all things".
So, that verse means what it says...
The Chrisitian is always to discerrn and discern......not just situations, but also people and theology.
And regarding Christianity, the Believer is to always discern others..... as its by knowing what to discern and how to discern, that the Christian is able to protect themselves from deception.
We have to "Put on" The Armor of God........As God is not going to do it for you, and you have to learn what that Armor is all about, to even begin to put it on., Reader.
A lot of people come to this forum and they dont know who to believe, or what to believe, as they read all the contradictions and all the click bait Threads and all the false theology.
So, "He that is Spiritual, judges all things"..., and this has to be continual, as the devil never sleeps, and his deceived people are everywhere...always trying to ruin your faith and keep you confused or worse.
Forums are a hot-bed of FALSE, and you have to learn how to hear it, how to recognize it......and this all starts with a deep understanding of SALVATION.........what that means........how that works..........and .WHO that is.......

Thanks Jack. It's very ironic that I have quoted the bible I'm guessing around 50 verses to your one over time. The one you claim has forsaken the bible.
Yet you claim to be the one to have the bible as your source of truth. Maybe you might want to prove it to your readers, or not.

And the truth that gives us confidence in this is that we have the mind of Christ. The Spirit of God and His Christ possess Their mind and He is in us.
This is mind blowing. God's mind in us. Praise God for His amazing Gift, the Spirit of Truth Who downloads His words direct from the mind and mouth of God into us.

Having the mind of Christ is not automatic.
If it was, then all Christians would believe the same theology, teach the same theology,.. and there would never be any disagreements, or hate filled arugments .......for example.....as found on forums, regarding Theology.
There would never be anyone on a forum trying to prove errors in a bible or found trying to prove that hell does not exist.
There woudl never be anyone on a forum teaching that water baptism washes away your sin, or that you are to Pray through Mary to get to Jesus.
There would never be anyone on a forum teaching that everyone goes to heaven.
THere would never be anyone on a forum pretending that they are "of the 144.000", as found in the Trib.
There would never be anyone on a forum denying the Trinity, or stating that the Rapture is not real.
There would never be anyone on a forum teaching replacement theory theology.
There would never be anyone on a Forum teaching Islamic Hamas propaganda.
There woudl never be anyone on a Forum trying to prove that Jesus can't keep them saved.
So, do you need me to post 500 more proofs, that prove that "having the mind of Christ" is not automatic?
I think you get the point.
The challenge is not relying on an extremely narrow funnel to channel the unlimited flow of the Niagara Falls or trying to look at the universe through a microscope.
It's not that the mind of God is small but that the scriptures is so narrow in scope and limited in volume.
Every word that comes out of the mouth of God is without end. Yet many think that it's all contained in a single book, ok, 73 give or take.
Personally I've been on a journey with the Spirit of God for years now to extend my capacity to receive more of Christ's mind which means retraining my mind to not only think through the lenses of the scriptures which I've studied and memorised for 50 plus years.
This task has not been easy. I have trained my mind to apply bible texts to my everyday life for decades. So to have the discipline to renew my mind has been challenging, that's for sure. But God the Creator has been enabling me to achieve some progress through His accompanying Spirit.
I used to see a situation then grab my bible to see what it had to say about it. I formed a strong relationship with the bible. We were never separated from eachother.
But then God convicted me of this relationship in which i had made this book my idol. My first and often only port of call. I began not seeking Him but the book. I treated Him as if He was even with me. Over the past 5 years i have repented of this practice of ignoring God's very presence in me and seek Him first and almost exclusively.
Therefore I can have the progressive revelation of the mind of Christ, to receive the words which Father speaks from His mouth through the broad open channel of the Spirit They sent.

The Bible points the way, shows the guardrails, but real transformation comes in knowing Christ Jesus.
Though even the saved ones who only look to the Bible cannot help but be changed, God's Word does not return empty! And it will always lead to knowing Him.

You. would make a good Catholic, as they also dont trust the bible, or esteem it as the final authority.
However, the Bible is the final authority, so, never beleive a "voice inside" that would tell you its not.
See, if you dont have the word of God as your final authority, then what is left?

Never ever let anything other then the Holy Bible become your final authority, as nothing else can equal it in Truth.
And never pretend that anything is superiour to the Bible regarding what the Spirit of God wants you to learn, regarding the knowledge of God.
When we study the NT.........Paul is our teacher, and the Holy Spirit is the revealer.
