Is this concerning Mary's genealogy? I find that interesting!

One of the reasons that we know the Bible is true, is because of its prophecies concerning JESUS The Lord.
One of them found in Isaiah 7:14 stated that Jesus would be "virgin" born.
This prophecy was given about 700 yrs before it happened.

Joseph was not Yeshua’s father so his genealogies do not matter for the prophecies to be true.

So Mary had to be a descendant of David.

Isaiah 7:14 is not a prophecy regarding Christ. One of the best examples of cherry picking. Plucking a verse out of the middle of a storyline. Read the whole story....It is a test of faith regarding a king and Isaiah and his wife. People key on the word virgin and run with it. Back in those days a virgin could be a woman that had not had sex or a married woman that had not had a baby yet. The Old Testament has stories of married women that could not have babies and it was considered a miracle when they did.

Jesus shared no bloodline with Mary. She was the ark of the new covenant that carried Jesus into the world. Joseph was in contact a descendent of David's not Mary
Isn't Luke 3 Mary's lineage?
Matthew lists Joseph's.
Luke is Mary's- beginning with Joseph listed as son of Heli thru his marriage to Mary, since women were not recorded. So Heli was Mary's father.
Matthew lists Jacob as Josephs father.
I could be wrong.. but that's what I thought.

Mary is connected to David, through one of David's Son's.

One can be the father (and yet not the father) like it shows in Joseph as a seed raised up to another (whether it be be by nature or by law). Jesus being the seed or the word made flesh (who came out from God) who was his Father (unto us a child is given, a son is born). Jesus Christ was never of this world, but came into it as by Mary who's lineage is not even listed but Joseph (her husband's) was.

He was conceived of the Holy Ghost being the seed of the woman, the Father was God himself.

Interesting. So we have genealogies of Josephs biological father and his father's half brother aka adoptive father? WHY do we need those?
Wouldn't you think only Mary's matters? I am confused........
Is this why Paul said-?

Titus 3:9 But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and strife and disputes about the Law, for they are useless and worthless.
and
1 Tim 1:4-
or devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies, which promote speculation rather than the stewardship of God’s work, which is by faith.

I emboldened the part I do get~!

But I still have the question of- wouldn't you think we would be given Mary's lineage since she was His biological mother?
Why do we even need Joseph's?
I'm all mixed up now. lol

RIGHT!

Mat 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

Luke 3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,

Luke 1:32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the LORD God shall give unto him
the throne of his father David:

As was supposed the son of Joseph, but the seed was the word of God, His Father was God, but I love that there is a picture in the law between what is a son by nature (between men) and a son (between men) by law.

No "cherry picking" involved...........let me show you.

The reason that most scholarship will agree that this verse is regarding Jesus.......is.....why else would it be there?
Who else could it be referring to.?
Take your time and name another person born of a Virgin, that the bible is referring to.... @Grailhunter

But most of all, its the term......"Emmanuel"....that is applied to this virigin born child.....and that word means..

"GOD with us".......and Jesus certainlly was that One.

I think that is obvious,

You posted "being the seed of the woman"........and Jesus was not the "seed of the woman" and as i told you, "women don't have seed".

Now had you used the spiritual context that is Genesis 3:15........ the ""Seed of the women"" .......then that would work. (KJV).
In Jesus's case, God created Him, as you stated, by the Holy Spirit.
