Should moral basics be taught in the public schools, or should it be left solely to to parents?

Surely, schools still teach that bullying (physical and cyber) is wrong, and maybe even that (classroom) stealing is wrong.
Why not then a general discussion: deliberately harming another for selfish ends is wrong.
This should be taught as a moral absolute.

This is the new phenomena thats coming out of the same ideology we have been seeing for a decade or more now. Where a persons identity and lived experience is the new reality and everything negative that happens is the result of some outside condition foisted upon the person.

We have seen signs of this happening where people are literally denying objective reality and engaging in delusional thinking. Social media is the perfect platform for such thinking and beliefs. Instead of taditional therapies that look at the mind people are turning to influencers with unreal ideas for which people buy into because they are seeking to compensate.

It seems especially women and this coincides with the spike and higher rates of anxiety and eating disorders and body dysmorphia. Pile on top of this DFV and its a cocktail for disaster.

The world is actually having a breakdown. Modern society makes you sick and stressed and anxious and depressed. People are overmedicated and everyone has some sort of disorder. Autism has spiked and so has all these other personality disorders.

But none of this absolves anyone from responsibility. This has always happened but it was not as prominent as it is today. But people could overcome these problems but it took a lot of hard work and pain to face up and grow up.

Today it seems people are protected from the pain of growing up and taking responsibility. The problem is because this kind of thinking has been allowed to flourish it has got to a point where its everywhere and no system will cope with this. But fundementally the system is promoting such a crazy world. Still at the end of the day people get chances along the way and don't take them which makes it worse.
