Without Works and By Works

Things may not be what you think.

We always interpret "Without works" as the commands and the will of God that we are required to obey in the Gospel—these are the "works" in question. Yet, is it possible that "Without works" here refers to things outside the commands and the will of God that are not emphasized?

We know we do not live under the law. When you declare yourself a Christian,
yet tell others "you shall not do this" or "you shall not do that" without any basis or reason
( the commands and the will of God that we are required to obey in the Gospel )
—do you truly understand what you are doing and saying?

Such actions mean you are living under the law. You are crucifying Jesus again, and engaging in condemnation and accusation. This is the same work that the enemy Satan does.

Yet some may argue that telling others "this is not right" or "that is not right" in such a way comes from love. Then, does this love originate from your own love for others, or from God’s love for them?

Are you suggesting that we don't correct sin and point out it's consequences? How could we then be salt and light? Maybe I am not understanding you:

Eph 5:11-13
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

We are to obey the command--- Love God and your neighbor as yourself.--
All that it sin comes under those. Love fulfills the Law.
So, when we say- don't steal- it's because stealing from someone isn't 'love...and so on..

James 2: 17-26 says it better than I ever could......

“....faith by itself, without works, is dead.

18  Nevertheless, someone will say: “You have faith, and I have works. Show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works.” 19  You believe that there is one God, do you? You are doing quite well. And yet the demons believe and shudder. 20  But do you care to know, O empty man, that faith without works is useless? 21  Was not Abraham our father declared righteous by works after he offered up Isaac his son on the altar? 22  You see that his faith was active along with his works and his faith was perfected by his works, 23  and the scripture was fulfilled that says: “Abraham put faith in Jehovah, and it was counted to him as righteousness,” and he came to be called Jehovah’s friend.

24  You see that a man is to be declared righteous by works and not by faith alone. 25  In the same manner, was not Raʹhab the prostitute also declared righteous by works after she received the messengers hospitably and sent them out by another way? 26  Indeed, just as the body without spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.”

You can’t have one without the other....
