Im not a future jesus coming through the clouds today guy.

I believe its apparent for most on the board I am not.

Jesus walked around and reading those Gospels he talked to the Jews.
Paul wrote to saints.

there is no saints today.

Not gonna change - some call it pride.

Im thankful that the end-times are over with and that the only end time that remains is death.

When ever that is -- who knows. Its important to walk in teh resurrected Lord Jesus, and love faithfully walking by his spirit.

"All of us are creating the world we want to live in."

Here you some saints of man.

Considering due to all the whole rapture theories and its the end of the world today theories.

I go against the thinking of the culture of chrisitanity concerning these traditions...

Jesus still hasnt shown up. He must have shown up to that first century bride - I believe in faith.

No one continues to prove Jesus is showing up in america, or any other country either anyway... he was foretold to bring forth judgement concerning ISrael.

All he did was talk to those Jewish people.

Not a future seeing Jesus coming guy

It's good to live in the present Matthew but this does not mean we are to dismiss Daniel 2 or Matthew 24 or I Thessalonians 4:16 or
1 Corinthians 15:50-54 or 2 Peter 3:9-11

Its fine if you wanna believe Jesus is coming back, but dont forget the audience Jesus was speaking to, or the audience Paul spoke to, or Peters audience and who he wrote to.

People misuse scripture when they do not include them. It's abuse, and false hope.

You make the scripture about yourself and not those people who died for their faith, typically. I say you in general.

@quietthinker while people may misuse scripture and not realize it, don't forget that Peter told the people in Acts they were in the last days quoting Joel from the old testament, and that John wrote concerning the Lord Jesus saying of his sayings of him coming quickly.

The old testament mainly dealt with the Jewish people, and So does matthew, mark, luke, john, acts - Of course gentiles get brought into the fold but its no good to negelect these truthful sayings.

The term "the last days" is quite vague and does not refer to any specific duration of time, so there's no basis for concluding that the last days can't still be ongoing today. In 2 Peter 3:3-4 Peter said that scoffers would be scoffing at the promise of His second coming during the last days and that's still occurring today.

and that John wrote concerning the Lord Jesus saying of his sayings of him coming quickly.
The Greek word translated as "quickly" there means immediately or very shortly. Did Jesus come immediately after John wrote that? No. What John was talking about is that when Jesus comes, He will come quickly. He will come as far as lightning flashes from the east to the west (Matthew 24:27). Him coming quickly has nothing to do with how long it would be until He comes.

The old testament mainly dealt with the Jewish people, and So does matthew, mark, luke, john, acts - Of course gentiles get brought into the fold but its no good to negelect these truthful sayings.
The New Testament mainly deals with Jesus and His church. And His church is still around today. Why you act as if all prophecies are already fulfilled is beyond me, but you are deceived by full preterist teaching.

What are you hoping for Matthew?

A Living Hope, and a Sure Salvation

1 Peter, an apostle (special messenger, personally chosen representative) of Jesus Christ,

To those [elect—both Jewish and Gentile believers] who live as exiles, scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia [Minor], and Bithynia, who are chosen 2 according to the foreknowledge of God the Father by the sanctifying work of the Spirit to be obedient to Jesus Christ and to be sprinkled with His blood: May grace and peace [that special sense of spiritual well-being] be yours in increasing abundance [as you walk closely with God].

3 Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant and boundless mercy has caused us to be born again [that is, to be reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose] to an ever-living hope and confident assurance through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 [born anew] into an inheritance which is imperishable [beyond the reach of change] and undefiled and unfading, reserved in heaven for you, 5 who are being protected and shielded by the power of God through your faith for salvation that is ready to be revealed [for you] in the last time. 6 In this you rejoice greatly, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, 7 so that the genuineness of your faith, which is much more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested and purified by fire, may be found to result in [your] praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 8 Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and though you do not even see Him now, you believe and trust in Him and you greatly rejoice and delight with inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 receiving as the result [the outcome, the consummation] of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

Titus 2
11 For the [remarkable, undeserved] grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. 12 It teaches us to reject ungodliness and worldly (immoral) desires, and to live sensible, upright, and godly lives [lives with a purpose that reflect spiritual maturity] in this present age, 13 awaiting and confidently expecting the [fulfillment of our] blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, 14 who [willingly] gave Himself [to be crucified] on our behalf to redeem us and purchase our freedom from all wickedness, and to purify for Himself a chosen and very special people to be His own possession, who are enthusiastic for doing what is good.

Hope to be with God in the afterlife.

Some are still going to be alive at the coming, who will join those who have died in the blessed hope of glorification, at his glorious appearing.

Those alive still have a blessed hope of a future appearing.

Paul faced immanent death but still held to a future appearing when all believers, including him, would receive the full reward.

2Tim 4
6 For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure [from this world] is at hand and I will soon go free. 7 I have fought the good and worthy and noble fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith [firmly guarding the gospel against error].

8 In the future there is reserved for me the [victor’s] crown of righteousness [for being right with God and doing right], which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that [great] day—and not to me only, but also to all those who have loved and longed for and welcomed His appearing.

14 But Peter, standing with the eleven, raised his voice and addressed them: “Men of Judea and all you who live in Jerusalem, let this be explained to you; listen closely and pay attention to what I have to say. 15 These people are not drunk, as you assume, since it is [only] the third hour of the day (9:00 a.m.); 16 but this is [the beginning of] what was spoken of through the prophet Joel:
17
‘And it shall be in the last days,’ says God,
‘That I will pour out My Spirit upon all mankind;
And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
And your young men shall see [divinely prompted] visions,
And your old men shall dream [divinely prompted] dreams;
18
Even on My bond-servants, both men and women,
I will in those days pour out My Spirit
And they shall prophesy.
19
‘And I will bring about wonders in the sky above
And signs (attesting miracles) on the earth below,
Blood and fire and smoking vapor.
20
‘The sun shall be turned into darkness
And the moon into blood,
Before the great and glorious day of the Lord comes.

Well, those days of Joel would happen BEFORE the great and glorious appearing of the lord.

EDIT
The spirit would fall upon ALL MANKIND.
In order for that to happen the Gospel had to be sent to all mankind..., so repentance is rewarded with the gift of the Holy Spirit himself and he is poured out on you.

God had an idea of all Mankind that the first century had no idea about.

Has to be future appearing Matthew.

Wow, you are in for a big surprise, and wow, you make the same reasoning comments as the atheists do!

Meanwhile, the scriptures tell of just how it all works and what is true...and apparently you just don't believe it [all].

Shall we name all the scriptures you left out to make such a statement--those of every tribe and tongue and people and nation and all who are born--the Beginning and the End--while you have your pity party?

You do not understand. Referring to "the last days" is always true. Today many live their last day, and tomorrow also. Peter was just being real about what is always true, in reference to what was then occurring during those days as part of of the whole (just as I have told you this part of the whole). That's who this works--and if you can receive it--you would be one of the first to understand what has eluded all former generations. But enduring to the end--that commandment--is not what you are doing. What you are doing is called giving up and settling for less than what is written.

I've said enough. You decide. So shall it be written.

I answered that other guys question with ease.

What's your hope Matthew? - To be with God.

Anyone using any scriptures to back their claims up are quoting from a book written 2000 years ago concerning people in that time in age.

Jesus told the jewish people the time would never be so great again and it would happen within their generatioon concerning the end of their world, and also he spoke to the apostles concerning the bridegroom and how he would be taking them.

So people can say whatever they want, they can hope and believe whatever they want.

But for me, going with the content and context of the bible, you are only left with a certain group of people that are being told these things, and the letters encouraging them to watch and wait.

So you guys older than me, or whatever that has nothing to do with me having to listen to you, or accept you and your quotations of a book that was never written to you which you proclaim must be adhered to in the way that you view it for the modern day.

I just simply accept what I have shared already concerning. :) Thank you.i

Jesus came to that generaiton, and it would never be so great again, so while you busy trying to play guessing games, I say continue to have faith, hope, and love.

Continue to share how it is the Resurrected Lord YEshua within you that is helping you, and that the Father in heaven continues to be please by faith.

He is not pleased by guessing games (because he only pleased by faith -- do you get it or not?). So My guess is in faith (without any proof ) Jesus did come, and he did gather the bride in teh first century and it would never be so great again.

:)

:Hanging:
That certain group of people and their letters define the context of the content of Gods prophetic word.

Those are people who want you to break to their will. They are bullies.

All he did was talk to those Jewish people.

Scripture states Jesus will come back on the same place He ascended, Mount Olivet, Israel.

1948 has all Gods fingerprints all over it.

Rapture already happened in AD70, Luke17:35:36

Josephus on AD70 -

Code:
Thus were the miserable people persuaded by these deceivers, and such as belied God
himself; while they did not attend nor give credit to the signs that were so evident, and did
so plainly foretell their future desolation, but, like men infatuated, without either eyes to
see or minds to consider, did not regard the denunciations that God made to them. Thus
there was a star resembling a sword, which stood over the city, and a comet, that continued
a whole year. Thus also before the Jews' rebellion, and before those commotions which
preceded the war, when the people were come in great crowds to the feast of unleavened
bread, on the eighth day of the month Xanthicus,[Nisan,] and at the ninth hour of the
night, so great a light shone round the altar and the holy house, that it appeared to be bright
day time; which lasted for half an hour.
