Ezekiel's temple was not intended to duplicate the first temple. Just the same, this was the command given. If you are ashamed of your sins, build this temple. They didn't do it. The sacrifices for sin confirm this was intended to be built before Jesus died.

The didn't come back (just a small portion did), and they didn't build the temple as commanded. And because of this, their punishment was visited upon them 7 times over, just as in Leviticus, meaning they would not return to self-rule until 1948.

There was no sacrifice offered for one of the congregation, or a stranger among them, to atone for willful sin.

All sin is willful. We do not sin by mistake. We consciously do it!

Look at the sentence construction and language that is used.

You are saying that if they depart from the faith, they were never saved.

That is not what this passage is saying.

• First and foremost he is speaking to brethren, people who are save.

This refers to departing from God; turning away, or falling away from Him.

The context is comparing the Hebrew of that day to the Israelites in the wilderness. They left Egypt following where God was leading them, but they would not enter the promised land.

1 John 2:19 KJV
They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

What does this actually mean?

Its very simple.

It simply means that if your Reject Jesus then you have rejected the only Sacrifice that God has offered for your sin.
There is no other eternal sacrifice for your sin.........its only JESUS on The Cross.

So, if you rejected Jesus.....have never trusted in Christ.. then you have rejected God's ONLY Sacrifice for your sin.... and now there remains NO OTHER, as Jesus is the only sacrifice for your sin.
= If you reject Him, then there is = No other Sacrifice for your sin....= NO more Sacrifice for sin.

Now, the Heretics, who dont trust in Christ to keep them saved, will lie to you and tell you that "if you sin knowing its a sin, if you do it on purpose Willfully, then you have lost your salvation".

So, that is total nonsense, and the reason is........ Christians sometimes do things they know are wrong.
And on the day God saved you, God knew you would do those things later.. and He saved you anyway because The Blood of Jesus cleanses all your sin.....forever.

Let me show you some common "sins".. (works of the flesh) that Christians commit all the time.

It can be ....... to not be totally truthful on your Tax form or on a Job interview form.
It can be that a Christian won't be completely truthful when asked "how much money do you make a year". when trying to get some extra help from the State or Gov, or more CREDIT.
It can be to tell a "white lie"....or to tell a whopper.
It can be to steal something, like when you are on the job and you are wasting time instead of doing your job. You are stealing money from your employeer when you do that little trick.
Have you ever "called in Sick", when you just wanted a day off?
It can be to know you should not watch a certain TV show or Movie, because its dirty.....it has sex in it and you knew it, and you watched it anyway and enjoyed it, till the guilt landed on you.
And i can keep on listing gluttony, or getting high, or getting drunk.......and so many more little "sins", and eventually ill find the one that you've done....and you did it willfully, knowingly, and probably more then once.
Now, if you say that all your sins are "accidents", then you just LIED and now you've sinned.

So, ive good news for EVERYONE.......You are still saved, you are still going to heaven.
Why?

Because God does not charge sin to the born again..... 1 Corin 5:19... Romans 4:8.... because the born again are "not under the law, but under Grace".

And what make this possible?

A.) "Jesus is the one time ETERNAL Sacrifice for sin"... because "God hath made Jesus to BE SIN, for us".

= Jesus has our sin, and we have God's Gift of Righteousness.

If you don't continue in your confidence to the end, you were not made a partaker of Christ. This is the plain saying of the passage. And this agrees with other Scripture.

Like in the parable of the sower, some seed sprouted up but then withered away, because it had no root. An emotional experience, but not regeneration.

You can know the truth, but not be born again. And then you give up on what you know, and depart, but you've still never been born again.
