Hello everyone, I am very open minded as to how any pastor, priest or layman chooses to teach the ways of Jesus ,in a church type setting or outside of the Church

However I can't understand this phenomenon called anointing. Their are videos on places like you tube, of people having outright medically disturbing, fits and seizures.

This does not strike me as being the work of the holy spirit?? If you are unfamiliar with it. Have a look on you tube and then post in here to see what others have to say ????

This has been going on for many years. I am not a religious zealot or a person to critique anyone's individual understanding of Christianity ,but this to me is just plain wrong? Neurologically inspired fits and explained as a religiously inspired outcome??

Are their any doctors in here, who can see and say ,what is actually going on here . Are these poor people going to develop early age neurological disorders, as a result of going through this once or twice????

You tube:
Anointing of joy ?
Holy church of laughter ?
Anointing the holy spirit ?
Benny hinn, raw Anointing of the spirit?

Is that even the real Kenneth?? Nothing about these guys looks spiritual to me ?

This just does not make any sense??

There have been charlatans going on since the apostles and even before.

The whole demon/evil spirit exorcising thing is a prime example. The "Priest" would give the patient a magical potion which would allow the possessed person to actually see the demon afflicting them and then the priest would bind up and get rid of their demon.

However the patients would feel a very very strong desire to get more of that potion again (wormwood is a powerful hallucinogenic compound that is extremely addictive substance)

It didn't take people long to figure out these charlatans game.

However, Jesus administered no potions, and their "evil spirits" remained gone forever.......as in they never returned. Unlike others exorcists who had this problem regularly where patients would regularly need their exorcist repeatedly until they were broke.

That answer your question?
The Pharisees made fun of Jesus as being a charlatan like the other exorcists.....but there was a real difference in the way Jesus did it and all the others.

Thanks for the input, what you have said is very interesting

I however do not view this type of thing as being a religiously inspired outcome. This is not a good or evil reaction, or an act of divinity. These people seem to be having a very dangerous, neurologically based event.

How this is being achieved to so many people at the same time? I do not know. I suspect a neurologist could view this and make a very quick and sound assessment of this behaviour. People should not be having what visually appears to be, highly distressing , dangerous, and uncontrollable episode of seizures.

I think this kind of outcome in the name of any god or belief , is destructive, dangerous and medically appaling.

But I am not a doctor. This just looks horribly wrong. Common sense !

Does any church in the USA still practice this sort of thing ??? I think partaking in this type of behaviour might be medically dangerous. I would hate to think that people are dying young or developing brain disorders as a result of going through this type of experience, a couple of times in a church setting ??

I don't think this is fraudulent, its probably just misunderstood and not viewed from a medical point of view . Long term or short term. Convulsions, fits, seizures ???? I just don't get it . Doctors comments appreciated.
