Reader.

Let me show you an easy way to "put on the Helmet of Salvation", which is to gain REAL Faith, that is the "knowledge of God".

So, ..Our Christianity is begun when we give God our faith in Christ....and He accepts our faith, to accept us THROUGH the Blood of Jesus.
WE are washed in the Blood, saved by the Blood, redeemed by the Blood and sancitified by the precious : Blood of Jesus.

And so....
we begin our walk of faith, that is our discipleship, and Paul teaches that we are to "come into the union of the faith". This means all Christians are to understand their Salvation perfectly. And when you do, you have put on the "helmet of Salvation" and Paul says you are now one of the "as many as be perfect".

Now, This revelation im going to show you....is so very simple, but so very mystically and spiritually profound.

Its this.. .

Adam was made in the "image of God'".. so this means that He is a spiritual being who was created by God, and : "GOD is A Spirit".
God created Adam out of Dirt and then God put His LIFE inside of Adam.
Adam was also
created having God's Righteousness.
Reader, where does Righteousness Exist? Its Exists in God, who Himself Is Righteoueness.
Adam had it, and then He lost it when he rebelled and decided to pursue what God told him not to do....= "do not eat of that tree".
And Once Adam ate it, he lost 2 things. He lost His Eternal Life, and He lost His Righteousness.
When your NT says that Adam "died".. its teaching that Adam became separated from God's LIFE, and the bible explains that this separation from God is "death". This is the loss of Spiritual Union with God, who is LIFE.

Jesus , who is God wrapped in Human flesh, came to earth to restore to humanity, = Eternal life and Righteousness.
Jesus said "I have come to give you LIFE".. and He means that He has come to restore you to spiritual Union with God who is LIFE:.

See that?

John 14:6 says....."I am the only Way to the Father", and that is Jesus explaining that He is the only way BACK to Spiritual Union with God that Adam lost for us all.
Its only through Christ... Its through The Cross of Christ.

So, When you are saved, you have been restored to Righteousness and Eternal life, by being restored to Eternal Spiritual Union with God.

How does God do this?......

1.) When you Believe in Jesus....God forgives all your sins....and you remain forgiven., because ""God hath made Jesus to BE SIN...for us"" and ""Jesus is the one time ETERNAL SACRIFICE for sin"...

2.), Now that you are made free from sin, = forgiven.......God gives you "The Gift of Righteousness" the same way that He gave it to Abraham. Which is... '""""Abraham BELIEVED GOD, and it was counted (imputed) unto Him as RIGHTEOUSNESS, and for US ALSO shall righteousness be imputed if we BELIEVE"""

3.) God gives you "The Gift of Eternal Life"...

Now, notice the 2 Gifts that are our SALVATION?... 1.) Righteousness.....2.) Eternal Life.

So, how did God GIFT those to the Believer in Yeshua The Lord ?.?

A.) = You are BORN AGAIN......by the Holy Spirit....into God Himself as "one with God"= "In Christ", and now you are rejoined spiritually to the position that Adam lost.....You are become "one with God"....."in Christ"....... which is spiritual union with God restored, that Adam lost, so this restores you to Eternal Life and Righteousness.

See that?
See How simple that is?......and that understanding is "the simplicity that is IN CHRIST".

We, the born again are ETERNALLY RESTORED to Spiritual union with God
Through Christ... and this is our Eternal life and Righteousness, and this is our : Salvation.

Now, Believer, when you SEE THIS, and this Revelation becomes so CLEAR to you, so OBVIOUS to you, so TRUE to your heart, then you have "Put on the Helmet of Salvation", and you are to put it on always, at all times as this is your spiritual and mental defense against the Devil, and Heretics, and "doctrines of Devils".

Greetings Behold,
Adam was also created having God's Righteousness.
An interesting mix of ideas. Could you support the above proposition with Scripture?
And Once Adam ate it, he lost 2 things. He lost His Eternal Life, and He lost His Righteousness.
When your NT says that Adam "died".. its teaching that Adam became separated from God's LIFE, and the bible explains that this separation from God is "death". This is the loss of Spiritual Union with God, who is LIFE.
Another interesting mix of ideas. Could you support the idea that when Adam was created he had eternal life? The death that Adam was now going to experience was a return to the dust Genesis 3:19.

Kind regards
Trevor

I posted some of Paul's Theology as a simple Thread.

So..., Adam was made in the image of God...>"Let us make man in OUR image"... "image" = likeness......."like God".
Therefore, God is Righteousness, and Adam is made in that "image" or "likeness", means that He had God's Life and Righteousness and lost both by rebellion.

Another interesting mix of ideas. Could you support the idea that when Adam was created he had eternal life?

God's life is Eternal life.
How can it not be?
Jesus who is God, said, i came to "give you Life".. Jesus is "The Resurrection and THE LIFE"..
Jesus said, "if you believe in me, i give you Eternal Life'.

So, this is being restored to the entirity of humanity, one believer at a time worldwide., through Faith.
The reason it has to be restored to us by God, as a "Gift" is because it was lost for us all by Adam, and now there is no way that a sinner can return to righteousness, = "ALL have sinned there is NONE RIGHTEOUS, no not one".
Adam the 1st is the fall of us all........ He is the reason that we come to Christ to receive " Eternal Life" and "Righteouesness".

John teaches that "you can know that you have eternal life, and this life is IN His SON".
So, each born again Christian is "IN Christ" where Eternal Life exists for the born again.
See, when we receive the "Gift of Eternal life" we are simply being restored into the same origianal relationship with God that Adam had before he lost it and became spiritually separated from God.....which is to become seperated from eternal life and righteousness.

What Jesus the 2nd Adam is doing on The CROSS... is restoring to a Believer all that Adam the 1st Lost regarding us all.
When we come to The Cross believing in Jesus, = God then forgiven all our sin, and then "GIFTS" it all back to us that 1st Adam lost.

The death that Adam was now going to experience was a return to the dust Genesis 3:19.

Spiritual separation from God is the real death, as this continues after you die, as the "2nd Death", (Eternal Damnation) if you are not restored by being "born again" into Spiritual Union with God before you die.

Ah yes, formula's! The new law and new hoops to jump through. A keenness to 'let him show you'.
It's as if the Holy Spirit is backward in working with the many personalities humanity presents; it's as if the Holy Spirit needs a formula where one size fits all......and a forgetfulness that people are wooed and drawn by a beauty which sidesteps formulas.

Our theology seems to differ in many areas. Adam when created was not a Divine Being and did not have eternal life and he did not have God's Righteousness. He was a human with the potential to develop God's character and after a period of probation and maturity he would be invited to partake of the Tree of Life and live forever. But he failed and was cast out of the Garden and sentenced to return to the dust.

Kind regards

Actually God's Salvation is without the Law.
Its "the righteousness of faith".

'""""Abraham BELIEVED GOD, and it was counted (imputed) unto Him as RIGHTEOUSNESS, and for US ALSO shall righteousness be imputed if we BELIEVE"""

So, if you give God your faith in Christ, God will will give you "the Gift of Righteousness" and "The Gift of Etermal life".

You have 1st Adam and 2nd Adam.
Both are created in "God's image"., in God's Likeness.
Adam was not designed by God to die. He died spiritually only because His spiritual union with God ended.
However that is not his spirit dying......as your spirit does not die. So, this death was the loss of spiritual union with God.
He died physically, because "the wages of sin, is death".

So, Adam's fall is the fall of us all, as by "one man's sin" we are made sinners..... and 2nd Adam came to restore us back into spiritual union with God, that is our Eternal Salvation.

1.)"The Gift of Salvation"

2.) "The Gift of Eternal life".

Greetings again Behold,
You have 1st Adam and 2nd Adam.
Both are created in "God's image"., in God's Likeness.
Adam was not designed by God to die.
Adam was not created with Eternal Life. He was made a little lower than the Angels, and these beings had eternal life. Adam only became mortal and subject to death after he had sinned.
Psalm 8:3-5 (KJV): 3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; 4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? 5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

When these same words are applied to Jesus, it states that Jesus was made a little lower than the Angels for the suffering of death, and hence it is stating that when he was born he was a mortal creature:
Hebrews 2:5-11(KJV): 5 For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak. 6 But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him? 7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands: 8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him. 9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. 10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. 11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,

Jesus was made a mortal being, and he obtained eternal life and immortality through resurrection from death. We share in his victory and salvation by faith in his death and resurrection and through identification with this death and resurrection by baptism in water Acts 8:5-6,12.

Kind regards
Trevor

Greetings again Behold,

Adam was not created with Eternal Life.

God only offers one "life"., and that is Eternal Life.
So, that is the only one Adam was given.
But this is in context, and the context is.... to have this "Life"... is to be 'One with God" as this is eternal life.
So, when Adam was "one with God" before he sinned.....>He had God's Life........that was His Eternal Life.

Jesus, the 2nd Adam, came to "give us LIFE and that more Abundantly"......or "forever".....as this is eternal life restored to every believer, that Adam the 1st, lost for us all.
Notice that we already have life........so, Jesus is talking specifically about "eternal Life".

But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death,

Jesus was sent here to die, so that all who would believe in Him could receive "The Gift of Eternal Life".
We have this once we are born again as "one with God" = Spiritually.
Adam originally had this eternal life as He was one with God Spiritually, and then He lost this spiritual union with God which caused all of humanity to be separated from God.
Jesus, the 2nd Adam, comes to retore our eternal life, by offering us "the Gift of Salvation"" that gives to us :

"The Gift of Righteousness"

and "The Gift of Eternal Life."

Jesus was made a mortal being,

Jesus's body was mortal, and it died on The Cross, but Jesus' spirit is the Deity of Christ, inside that mortal body.
its the same spirit that Jesus explained from the Cross as.....>"into thy hands i commit my Spirit".
Also, when Jesus told the dying Thief....>"today you will be with me in Paradise".. He was explaining that His body would be hanging on The Cross, Dead, but His Spirit was always the same.

Keep in mind, the same God back then is the same God today. Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. (Hebrews 13:8)

In this set of scriptures the LORD chose the tribe of Levi to execute the service of the LORD. Before he did that he had Moses clean them up. This should let you know when you come before the LORD you must be clean. Clean your act up first, and then go to the LORD. You cannot come to HIM as you are. We are no longer under the laws of sacrifice, Jesus is our sacrifice once and for all, and the water you must be cleansed by is His word. Here in Numbers, actual water was used to cleanse the Levites. The Lord does something physical to let you know later there is a spiritual side also.

Numbers 8:5 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them. 7 And thus shalt thou do unto them, to cleanse them: Sprinkle water of purifying upon them, and let them shave all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean. 8 Then let them take a young bullock with his meat offering, even fine flour mingled with oil, and another young bullock shalt thou take for a sin offering. 9 And thou shalt bring the Levites before the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt gather the whole assembly of the children of Israel together: 10 And thou shalt bring the Levites before the LORD: and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites: 11 And Aaron shall offer the Levites before the LORD for an offering of the children of Israel, that they may execute the service of the LORD.

12 And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks: and thou shalt offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, unto the LORD, to make an atonement for the Levites. 13 And thou shalt set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them for an offering unto the LORD. 14 Thus shalt thou separate the Levites from among the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be mine. 15 And after that shall the Levites go in to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt cleanse them, and offer them for an offering. 16 For they are wholly given unto me from among the children of Israel; instead of such as open every womb, even instead of the firstborn of all the children of Israel, have I taken them unto me. 17 For all the firstborn of the children of Israel are mine, both man and beast: on the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for myself. 18 And I have taken the Levites for all the firstborn of the children of Israel. 19 And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation, and to make an atonement for the children of Israel: that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come nigh unto the sanctuary. Here we have two of Aaron's sons, keep in mind that they knew the law, they are sons of the high priest. Look what happened.

Leviticus 10:1 And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not. 2 And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.

Think about this. You have been given understanding of the scriptures and you know how dangerous the God Of Israel is, and you disobey his commandments anyway. You saw what happened to Nadab and Abihu, this could happen to you, me or anyone that truly understands the word of God.

Let's take a look at the commandment that was given. Keep in mind the LORD is giving the law.

Leviticus 6:8 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 9 Command Aaron and his sons, saying, This is the law of the burnt offering: It is the burnt offering, because of the burning upon the altar all night unto the morning, and the fire of the altar shall be burning in it. 10 And the priest shall put on his linen garment, and his linen breeches shall he put upon his flesh, and take up the ashes which the fire hath consumed with the burnt offering on the altar, and he shall put them beside the altar. 11 And he shall put off his garments, and put on other garments, and carry forth the ashes without the camp unto a clean place. 12 And the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out: and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order upon it; and he shall burn thereon the fat of the peace offerings. 13 The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.

Look at verse 12, And the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out. The fire on the alter shall never go out. Where did the two sons get the fire? It wasn't from the altar. Verse 13, The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out. That is real clear.

Paul saus in Romans 15: 4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
