The gospel is the Kingdom. The Kingdom is the gospelThere is a difference between preaching the KINGDOM OF GOD and the GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM.
The distinction you are making is nonsensical. This is what Jesus said. The Jews got eternal life by believing just as the gentiles did:The argument was that the gospel Peter and the apostles preached was only to believe on the name of Jesus. For eternal life they had to believe he was the Christ, the Son of God. I said nothing about Gentiles unable to be saved. Gentiles were saved by Peter's preaching in Acts 10
This is utter nonsense. Please study the scriptures:You are harping on Gentiles.....once again Gentiles could be saved as well as seen in Acts 10.
The point is Peter's gospel was to believe on his name THAT'S ALL THEY HAD TO BELIEVE. Thats not Paul's gospel.
You can't separate the kingdom from the gospel. You can't have one without the other. What you posted as a verse is not the Gospel......its a partial explanation of the KOG.
Also..
Paul's Gospel is the same as what God gave to Abraham. = "Abraham believed God and (his faith) was counted unto him as Righteousness"
14) ... ... ... I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue,Paul preached the heavenly kingdom..................[2Ti 4:18 KJV] 18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve [me] unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom [be] glory for ever and ever. Amen.
I will say that the kingdom of God is used to describe the Davidic earthly kingdom.. Matthew calls it the kingdom of heaven. It can be seen they are the same......................[Mat 4:17 KJV] 17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
[Mar 1:15 KJV] 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
Paul, however, did not preach the kingdom of God as being the Davidic kingdom. Here is how preached the kingdom of God in this verse.................[Act 28:23 KJV] 23 And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into [his] lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and [out of] the prophets, from morning till evening.....................Paul was preaching the kingdom of God as persuading them concerning Jesus Christ not the earthly kingdom
So YOU are not part of the New Covenant? The Abrahamic covenant was that all nations would be blessed. This is found in this verse.....................[Gal 3:8 KJV] 8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, [saying], In thee shall all nations be blessed...............God would justify the heathen by faith in Christ. It will also be fulfilled in the earthly kingdom where the nations will be blessed by believing Israel.
The new covenant is made only with Israel....................[Jer 31:31 KJV] 31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
So did Paul as I have proven with scriptureJohn the Baptist preached the Gospel of the Kingdom,
That is the only gospel. It is the gospel of the kingdom and the gospel of salvation. Paul preached the kingdom of God.and Paul's Gospel is "The Gospel of the Grace of God".
It wasn't Paul who died for our sins. When he said "My Gospel" he was just saying that the gospel was so precious he forsook all. He wasn't stating he had a different gospel that the other apostles. In fact, he went to Jerusalem and calibrated his teaching with the other apostles.Paul stated that his Gospel is 'MY Gospel"..... He said this 3x and his Gospel is..
"Faith is counted by God as Righteousness".
There is nothing about "the Kingdom" found there.
Any other Gospel other then "Christ Crucified". "The Preachig of the Cross" that is "Justification by Faith"... as "Our Faith is counted by God as Righteousness" .......is Galatians 1:8
Jews and Israel of the flesh are DEAD in trespasses, sin and iniquity!!!Israel has temporarily fallen so it cant be said we have to go thru Israel..............[Rom 11:12 KJV] 12 Now if the fall of them [be] the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?.
Does it say that? You are reading what you know from Paul into this verseJohn 3:16 is Paul's teaching in 1 Corin 15:3
Does it say that? Again you are reading into what is not thereNotice that John 3:16, says that "God GAVE His Son".
A.) God gave His Son TO THE CROSS, for our sins..
Thats not the only verse that deals with his name. You have to consider all the other verses that say that they had salvation by faith in his name, such as this one..........[Jhn 20:31 KJV] 31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.Wrong again @Doug
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,
that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
and that every tongue should confess that (Name) Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father
Yes indeed JESUS only has one BODYJust got here and I should be writing to @Doug, I guess.
He might mean that there are two TYPES of church....
one made of brick and mortar...the one we attend on Sunday.
It's a building known as a church.
Then there is the one you mention which is the Body of Christ.
In THIS sense, which I think to be the topic of this thread (not sure)
then I'd have to say that, yes, there is only one church and that is the Body of Christ to whom all
believers belong.
Jesus has one body...not two.
I just noticed in your verses the difference and wanted to point it out. Why would the translators change the gospel of the kingdom to just the gospel of God which is non-specific.Some misunderstanding here.
What does a translation have to do with this?
Are you saying that a translation could change the MEANING of any given verse?
By believing his word which would include the gospelI hope you mean by believing the gospel HOWEVER it was known to mankind.
Or the following would make no sense:
Romans 1:19-20
19 because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.
20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.
Because the gospel of the Kingdom IS the gospel of GOD , as is the kingdom of heaven the same as the phrase kingdom of GOD .I just noticed in your verses the difference and wanted to point it out. Why would the translators change the gospel of the kingdom to just the gospel of God which is non-specific.
The gospel of the KINGDOM of ......................GOD .I just noticed in your verses the difference and wanted to point it out. Why would the translators change the gospel of the kingdom to just the gospel of God which is non-specific.
His word WHICH IS THE GOSPEL .By believing his word which would include the gospel
okThe distinction you are making is nonsensical. This is what Jesus said. The Jews got eternal life by believing just as the gentiles did:
Jn 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever(as in jew or gentile) believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Trench time david .Jews and Israel of the flesh are DEAD in trespasses, sin and iniquity!!!
Jerusalem/Isarel that is Above is where everyone who is SAVED is Born From = Gospel of John chapters 1 thru 4
@Doug, did you read the apostle Paul declaring the one Name that saves us in Philippians ch2 ???
By sheer coincidence(lol x100) the apostle Peter also preached that One Name for Salvation = Acts ch4
Your statement is very definite now.By believing his word which would include the gospel
