So, you decided not to comment on the Scriptures I posted.
Instead you post from Matt 23, which instead of Matt 24 (which exclusively is to the twelve) is addressed to the crowds. And of course the things Jesus spoke about in Matt 23 also happened between AD 30 and AD70.
1. Foremost of all they (the Scribes and Pharisees) murdered the last prophet, the Son of God, the Saviour, the Creator in the human flesh.
2. It is said, eleven of the 12 disciples were martyred.
3. Saul, before Jesus stopped him, was persecuting Christians.
Shalom brother.
Good Morning,
1.) Matt 23 was in response to "generation"
2.) Along with the apostles,
many more saints were, beaten, imprisoned and put to death their faith in Christ during 30-70AD
1 Thess ch2 & ch3
For you, brethren, became imitators of the churches of God which are in Judea in Christ Jesus. For you also suffered the same things from your own countrymen, just as they
did from the Judeans, who killed both the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they do not please God and are contrary to all men,
1orbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they may be saved, so as always to fill up
the measure of their sins; but wrath has come upon them to the uttermost.
We sent Timothy, our brother and fellow worker for God in the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you in your faith,
3so that none of you would be shaken by these trials. For you know that we are destined for this.
4Indeed, when we were with you, we kept warning you that we would suffer persecution; and as you know, it has come to pass.
5For this reason, when I could bear it no longer, I sent to find out about your faith, for fear that the tempter had somehow tempted you and that our labor might have been in vain.
3.) CORRECT
4.) the persecution and murders never stopped = to this day
a.) RCC and the Inquisition murdered many saints
