I have Portuguese on one side, Brazilian on the other and whatever language is across the street. I can't say Merry Christmas and happy New year in their language. But I have a cross in my front yard that sends a message. My old neighbor was from Jamacia, and she could talk a lot in that dialect in English. She lost her job and had to sell her house to the Brazilians. It is interesting to say the least.Me too... although it's mainly Spanish neighbors and some Koreans now. That's how Indian food became my favorite! I'm still in contact with my Bangladesh and Ethiopian friends. Less often with the Indians.
